Best meal I had in Switzerland! Very home feeling and the restaurant was able to accommodate our needs! Would highly recommend!

Eating in the La Ferme restaurant is always a pleasure, especially the beef fillet Medici, which is a dream! The menu also has great dishes and something for everyone. Card payment no problem! We definitely visit the restaurant 2-3 times a year!

Great, tasty, familiar and friendly. Also?systematically generous. Impressive. Without deducting stars, it is recommended to choose clothing so that you are dressed in layers. It gets very warm and the ventilation seems (spectacularly) to the limit of its capacity with the flambé concept. I've enjoyed it for years and will continue to do so whenever I'm in Zermatt with friends.

I don't have the courage to recount the experience. In the end it was rather funny (soup served without a spoon, fondue served without bread, etc.). But you shouldn't go there with too much expectation.

Five of us with five dogs spontaneously went to dinner at LA FERME. We were given a very friendly welcome by the staff and the dogs were immediately given fresh water. The descent into Zermatt's cellar was more than worth it!!! Absolutely stress-free restaurant, neither a tourist trap nor a mainstream restaurant - LA FERME is a very familiar restaurant for a cozy meal. We enjoyed a fondue chinoise a discretion... as a starter there was a large mixed salad with French or Italian salad dressing, after which you were allowed to help yourself to fruits, pickled silver onions, etc. at the buffet. As sauces for the fondue chinoise there was a garlic, dijon mustard, cocktail, curry and a tartar sauce - very tasty fries and rice were served as a side dish. We rounded off the great evening with two bottles of veran from the bodega biniagual ! Since the fondue chinoise was a discretion, fresh meat was always offered and served - simply perfect! For dessert there was a scoop of pear and lemon sorbet and a shot of schnapps on the house 💕 We can highly recommend LA FERME in Zermatt as it is very friendly and familiar ✨👍🏽✨

It felt like eating in a cheap canteen but for the price of 170 CHF. The waiters were always stressed and we felt not really welcomed. It wasn’t the type of dinning atmosphere we were looking and expecting at all.

Good food but way too expensive for what it is. No effort in presenting the dishes, too bad. We are also charged for the carafe of water... Disappointment

We ate in this restaurant because we heard about the star dish. As soon as we arrived we were welcomed like VIP people and not like tourists. The restaurant is very well appointed and very friendly. We chose the medici, the featured menu. The sauce was prepared in front of us and the person who prepared it explained all the ingredients to us. I can only recommend this dish because it is excellent. Then the desserts were very generous and good. The service was perfect. I will return.

We had a very pleasant evening. The only downside: the beef that makes up the house specialty, the Medici flambée, is not Swiss but Australian! Too bad, given the number of plates served and the possibility of supporting local agriculture.. Or at least, a little more local.

Unfortunately, La Ferme in Zermatt has lost its soul! With the departure of the old tenants, the lovely and courteous things also left. The new management as well as the new employees have no clue about entertaining guests. Even the still fine beef fillet in mustard sauce can't hide it. It's a shame, it's a shame, but after years of pilgrimage, we've definitely seen it. We prefer friendly and accommodating restaurants and luckily there are enough of them in Zermatt... Four dissatisfied guests

What else can we say except that we look forward to our next visit. Finest beef, am Table flambéed and a sauce you want to bathe in ☺️

Correct menu but excessive prices, and service which pushes consumption in an unbearable manner. “really you don’t want a starter?”, “really no dessert?”, they pour you the bottom of the bottle “do you want another?”, a girl just wants a salad as a starter without anything else , we don't let her go and help herself at the salad buffet but we prepare her in the kitchen...

Had a "Fondue Excelsior" - meat fondue (beef fillet cubes) in red wine bouillon. It was very good, the side dishes were also good, only the fries were a little under-fried. What surprised me is that the meat came from Australia. For this price segment I expect Swiss meat!

Das La Ferme ist seit Jahren auf meiner Bestsellerliste in Zermatt. Das Rindsfilet Medici - am Tisch persönlich zubereitet von der liebeswerten Chefin - ist immer wieder ein Genuss und eine wahre Freude! Jederzeit gerne wieder :-)

Während unseren disejährigen Skiferien versuchten wir zum ersten Mal das Restaurant La Ferme, jeden Tag liefen wir auf dem Weg zum Skibus daran vorbei und wir wunderten uns wie es wohl in diesem Restaurant "im Keller gelegen" wohl aussehen wird. Wir wurden auf das angenehmste überrascht und die Speisen waren hervorragend. Wir versuchten das Lamm im Kräutermantel mit einer äusserst lekceren Sauce und das Rindsfilet Bearnaise. Sehr gerne kommen wir wieder, die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie haben uns daruf hingewiesen, dass eien grössere Gruppe kommt und es dann eventuell zu keinen Wartezeiten kommen könnte, wir haben jedoch von allem nichts gespührt und die Speisen kamen schnell und speditiv. Was ich sehr schätze, ist wenn das Essen auf warmen Tellern serviert wird, dann wird das Essen auch nciht so schnell kalt. Zum Abschied gab es eine sehr feinen Aprikosenschnaps und wird wurden auch von der Chefin, trotz einer gewissen Hektik, freundlich und fröhlich verabschiedet. Wir kommen gerne bei unserm nächsten Besuch in Zermatt wieder.

Wie immer war das Medici, bereitet von Doris ein Traum. Excellente Weinauswahl und eine sehr feine Karte runden alles ab. (P.S. ich habe diese Woche nur dreimal "Filet Medici" gegessen :-)

フォンデュの美味しいところを探して、ここにたどり着きました。おいしかったですが他の店で食べてもおいしかったので、スイスではどこでチーズフォンデュを食べてもおいしいことがわかりました。

Mal accueilli, mal servi, la moitié du repas immangeable mais par contre le prix est au rendez-vous. A déconseiller

Malheureusement notre expérience dans ce restaurant s'est révélée être une déception.Oui, l'endroit est joli et sympa.Par contre beaucoup de choses négatives:- la prise de commande. Nous avons choisi une soupe , une salade et un gratin de crevettes pour 2 adultes, nous n'avions pas très faim, et un plat pour les 2 enfants.La serveuse nous a demandé si c'était vraiment tout ce que nous prenions, d'un air étonné...!- Ma soupe de potiron aux graines grillées s'est transformée en soupe de potiron à l'huile de truffe.- la salade de mon mari (8,5 CHF) était complètement défraîchie.- le gratin de crevettes : à l'eau , hyper salé, avec des crevettes saumure dignes de la Migros, plein de beurre. J'ai retourné ma soupe car je n'aime pas l'huile de truffe et ai demandé mes graines grillées. Elle est revenue avec 5 graines de courges, non grillées, au fond de la soupe!Mon mari qui a mangé 1/8 du plat de crevettes l'a retourné en disant que ce n'était pas bon.Nous n'avons rien dit pour la salade.Le plat escalope des enfants était bon.- L'addition est arrivée: Le plat de crevettes, facturé 14 CHF, n'avait pas été enlevé!Après demande, cela a été fait.Mon verre de 1dl de vin correct a été payé 10CHF, le coca 5,20 CHF et la carafe d'eau du robinet 5 CHF!!!Du vol cette eau!Bref, nous ne conseillons pas ce restaurant.

Restaurante do hotel excelsior, bem localizado, arquitetura antiga mas condizente com o local, atendimento muito bom e fundue de carne (chinoise excelsior) ótimo. Além de estar no hotel o que facilitou pela temperatura de -16, tivemos uma ótima experiência no restaurante

Abbiamo assaggiato il famoso filetto Medici ...decisamente eccellente! Servizio professionale e cordiale (e parlano anche italiano). Includendo il vino/bibite, la carne e il dolce abbiamo speso circa 100.- a persona ma merita almeno una visita. Torneremo sicuramente durante il nostro prossimo soggiorno a Zermatt. Caro ma soldi spesi bene!

Bon choix de plats entrées et desserts. Très bonnes soupes (potiron, tomate....) et pour terminer un parfait flambé au grand marnier. Très bonne étape

Bin am späten Nachmittag am 10. August in Zermatt angekommen und als ich gerade 23 Wochen schwanger bin, war ich besonders vorsichtig bei der Entscheidung, wo ich essen sollte. Daher haben wir uns viele Restaurants angesehen, bevor wir uns für La Ferme entschieden haben. Meine Mahlzeiten und die Mahlzeiten meines Mannes waren eindeutig durchschnittlich und nicht das Geld wert. Zum Glück war mein Essen (gegrilltes Hähnchen) in Ordnung, aber mein Mann (hatte das Menü - Salat, Fisch mit Reis und Eis) wachte um 04 auf. 00 mit Magenkrämpfen und heftig krank sein. Unser Tag in Zermatt wurde komplett abgeschrieben, und er verbrachte den ganzen Tag im Bett, krank, mit Durchfall, Schüttelfrost, Temperatur und allgemeiner Schwäche.Ich ging ins Restaurant, um sie auf die Situation aufmerksam zu machen, aber der Manager war extrem unhöflich und wollte es nicht wissen. Ich weiß es zu schätzen, dass es schwierig ist, eine Lebensmittelvergiftung festzustellen, aber da wir bis zum Abendessen dasselbe gegessen haben, fällt es mir schwer zu glauben, dass es irgendwo anders ist. Er ist auch nicht Projektil Erbrechen und ist unwahrscheinlich, dass die Norovirus die Jahreszeit gegeben, trotz was der Manager möchte, dass Sie glauben.

Great food, friendly staff and fresh salad from our own garden!

Immer wieder begeistert vom Essen und der frische der Speisen. Im Sommer gibts den Salat frisch vom Hoteleigenen Garten direkt nebenan. Das Personal ist auch enorm aufmerksam und freundlich.

Aufgrund alter Kindheitserinnerungen besuchten wir dieses schöne Restaurant. Wir wurden sehr, sehr freundlich empfangen und der Service war während des gesamten Aufenthaltes äußerst zuvorkommend, freundlich, aufmerksam und charmant. Meine Mutter aß hier früher immer das flambierte Rinderfilet, das wir nun natürlich auch bestellten. Wir haben es nicht bereut! Das Fleisch war butterzart, die Präsentation war toll - es wurde alles beim Zubereiten erklärt (die Chefin persönlich hat flambiert) und die Beilagen (Reis und Kartoffelgratin sowie Gemüse) waren auch sehr schmackhaft. Besser geht es nicht!Zum Abschluss gab es Erdbeeren aus dem heimischen Garten von Frau Perren - ebenfalls köstlich.Wir kommen wieder!!!

La renommée du filet de bœuf Medici n'est pas surfaite. Après un très bon accueil dans une salle bien remplie. Nous avons dégusté ce merveilleux filet de bœuf , une qualité de viande comme rarement mangé et la sauce préparée devant nous quelle régale. Avec plaisir nous y retournerons.

Nous sommes tombé dans ce restaurant par hasard. En marchant dans les rues, la carte nous a interpellé. Nous avons pris la "fondue chinois à discrétion" (à volonté). Nous sommes déçus de la qualité de la viande. En effet, la viande était encore froide (congelée) lorsqu'elle nous a été servie. Le buffet de salade est correct et les sauces qui vont avec la viande sont très bonne (5-6 choix différents). Le dessert n'était qu'un dessert industriel (parfait glacé). Conseil: si vous êtes un gros mangeur et que vous voulez beaucoup manger, c'est ce plat qu'il faut choisir. Mais ne visez pas la qualité dans ce cas-là.Je pense que ce restaurant vaut le détour pour les autres plats, qui semblent tout à fait corrects et très bons. La prochaine fois, nous ferons le bon choix !

Pris la fondue Excelsior: viande de boeuf très tendre et gouteuse. Le service est impeccable, toujours présent, d'une exceptionnelle amabilité et grande efficacité. Le seul petit bémol serait peut-etre que les desserts sont un peu trop classiques, manque de finesse ou originalité, mais tout en restant bons.On y retournera.

A cozy restaurant with excellent food! The selection on the menu is large enough and offers something for everyone. I can highly recommend the flambéed dishes. Eine Premiere nach mehreren Jahrzehnten Zermatt. Unter diesem Motto läuteten wir die diesjährigen Skiferien mit zwei Kindern ein.Wir wurden wirklich ausnehmend freundlich empfangen, zum Tisch geleitet und wir erfuhren, dass alles auf der Speisekarte auch in Kinder-Menu-Grösse bestellt werden kann. Wir entschieden uns für das Chinoise Menue, dazu einen schönen Rotwein (Biber). Das Salatbuffet war stimmig, die Dressings fein. Die Kinder bekamen genauso ihre Fleischteller wie wir und sie genossen das Essen, die feinen Pommes Alumettes, den Reis, die sauren und fruchtigen Beilagen, die Saucen. Unentwegt wurde gefragt, ob alles ok sei, wir etwas vermissen, mehr Fleisch, Beilagen benötigten. Wirklich alle Angestellen, ihnen voran die Chefin waren ausnehmend freundlich und aufmerksam. Zum Dessert gab es für uns Eltern ein Eisparfait, die Kinder durften sich ein Glacé aussuchen. Der für die Kinder verrechnete Preis ist mehr als nur familienfreundlich und wir verliessen das La Ferme hell begeistert und sehr angetan. Herzlichen Dank für diesen schönen Ferienauftakt.

L incontournable de la maison testé et approuvé excellent! Préparé devant nous, à table, avec moult explications. Personnel très accueillant. Cadre style chalet assez commun mais le boeuf vaut le detour.

Waren vor Jahren mit Filet Medici sehr zufrieden. Daher haben wir das Restaurant jetzt mit Freunden besucht.Leider waren 5 Personen enttäuscht. Das Gemüse komplett verwässert und gänzlich ohne Geschmack. Die Stroganov-Sauce war eine verwässerte Paprikasauce. Die Lammsauce schmeckte wie eine verwässerte Päckchensauce. Ganz unmöglich war die angebliche Sauce Bernaise. Die hatte mit dem erwarteten Original gar nichts gemein. Sie schmeckte wie eine Gorgonzola-Mehl-Pampe.Bei der Leistung ist das alles viel zu teuer. Schade... es war unser letzter Abend.

Mein Mann und ich heute in diesem Restaurant zu Abend gegessen. Ich bestellte die Spaghetti mit Olivenöl, Oliven und mir gewürfelte Tomaten. Ich bekam einfach Spaghetti mit keine Tomaten und keine Oliven. Ich schickte sie zurück in die Küche und sie noch ein ganz kleines bisschen Tomaten aber keine Oliven. Dann meine heiße Schokolade kamen an und es war kalt. Alles in allem ein empörendes Erfahrung. 16 Franken für eine winzige servieren von Spaghetti mit Olivenöl und der kleinsten Betrag von Tomaten. . . zu teuer und nicht die Werbung auf der Speisekarte Essen!gehen Sie bloß nicht hier!

Das Restaurant war voll besetzt. Wir kamen ohne Reservierung! Das Team hat sich jedoch bemüht im rustikaleren Restaurant mit gleicher Karte uns einen wundervollen Abend zu bescheren! Es war ein toller Service! 1A! Das Essen war fantastisch!! Kommen wieder!!

Nous n'avions pas réservé un samedi soir et le personnel à tout fait pour nous trouver un endroit calme et beau pour passer notre soirée en amoureux. Et ce fut le cas. Merci à eux pour cet effort.Nous avons naturellement opté pour le boeuf medici flambé sous nos yeux par la patronne. Un plat très bon avec une viande tendre et savoureusement préparée. Wir haben das berühmte Rindsfilet " Medici " gegessen.Es wird am Tisch zubereitet und flambiert. Die Sauce ist ein Hit!!!

Der Service sehr freundlich. Sie erfüllte die 6 von uns in der letzten Minute sehr anmutig im Zimmer neben der Bar. Fondue Chinoise Speisekarte ist sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Ein sehr solides Mittelklasse Option in Zermatt.

Endroit sympathique et pittoresque! Personnel sympathique , professionnel et accueillant ! Seul bémol a mon goût, il fait un peu chaud ! J imagine que c est du au flambage des plats ! Nourriture et vin impeccable .Agneau flambé et sa sauce préparée sous vos yeux , un délice !

Jamais mangé une viande avec une sauce aussi bonne! N'hésite pas le bœuf medici, DÉLICIEUX!L'accueil est aussi excellent et chaleureux.Merci pour ce moment!

Quel délice ! La viande préparée par la propriétaire du restaurant sous nos yeux était succulente, la sauce relevée comme il faut bref à essayer si vous passez à Zermatt ! On reviendra c'est certain!

wir waren gebuchte gäste im la ferme, von aussen eher unscheinbar, und innen gutbürgerlich. das essen war aber top, rindsfilet medici, ein traum von der cheffin zubereitet und einmalig..immer wieder gerne

Had the 'Filet Medici'. What an explosion of taste! This is the way how a filet should be prepared! In front of you. Just WOW! The sauce. Well one would kill for it. So tasty! It's worth to make reservation in advance.

Établissement cher.. Avec une qualité très médiocre.. Nous avons pris la fondue chinoise à discrétion.. La viande est encore congelée.. Très fine. Aucun goût.. La pire fondue de ma vie! Et ça pour 49.-- par personne.. En revanche je voyais des tables avec de grosses pièces de viande qui avaient l'air corrects

Nous avons mangé pour la 1ère fois à "la Ferme" et certainement pas la dernière , quel service , tout le monde est au petits soins, petit + , parlent français. Bœuf Médicis succulent et en entrée escargots et potage au potiron avec huile de truffe très bons ! Prix tout à fait correct pour la qualité des mets ! Petit bémol , le prix des vins ! Mais c est malheureusement un peu la généralité en Suisse.

Im Restaurant La Ferme gibt es für mich das Filet Medici welches direkt am Tisch von der Chefin direkt zubereitet wird. Es ist super!! Bravo weiter so! Die Innendekoration ist gut schweizerisch - einfach. Die Bedienung ist sympathisch und man wird hier einen entspannten Abend geniessen können.

La déco du restaurant est sympa, un charme suisse y règne. Les plats sont très bons. Petit bémol, pour un restaurant d'une classe pareille, c'est dommage d'avoir un buffet de salade. La viande est excise et les pâtes maisons sont juste succulentes. Si vous en avez pas assez, pas de problème un supplément est proposé. Nourriture excellente, dommage que le service soit si rapide.

La cuisine et le personnel sont juste superbe... demandez à voir la cave a vin, certaines bouteilles ne sont pas sur la carte...

Suite aux différents avis reportés sur ce site, nous avons testé ce restaurant que noué ne pouvons que recommander. L'accueil est chaleureux. Nous avons testé les flambés préparer à table par la patronne. Certainement une des meilleure viande de Zermatt ! Tout était parfait, nous y reviendrons !
