Perfect place for a coffee or breakfast. There are tables outside to sit in the sun or also cosy tables inside with a view at the street.

Cafe adjacent to the hotel we stayed at! Just stopped for a coffee and baked goods and the coffee was decent.

I go to other stores quite often but here I was disappointed. I'm told they don't make more toast at 3 p.m. They are more hot chocolate. I ask for fresh mint tea, I have an average green tea… Expensive for not much

The staff is very friendly and friendly. But the prices are very high... for 2 pastries and 2 fruit juices + 22chf... Never seen before for us French...

Here again it is regrettable that the price does not appear in the assessment criteria. The staff is very friendly, attentive and professional. But 13 CHF for two pain au chocolat and a ginger infusion is really excessive, especially when you know the prices charged by this same brand in other countries. Inflation is a good thing - the establishment is not a luxury tea shop either. Scandalous! This clearly shows that management is counting on a passing and foreign clientele, but that it is totally disconnected from the market. I won't go anymore despite the super nice waitress, and will spread super negative word of mouth for the reasons mentioned above.

Chf 7.- a SMALL cappuccino (supplement 1.- for oat milk) Really too expensive.

More than fair honestly. Being in-between trains and desperate to find basic gluten free options in a quiet place this would tick all the boxes. Gluten free avocado toast, the bread way too dense for me, yet everything else super fresh and well dressed. The waitress absolutely lovely, accommodating tight schedule, need for a break and food restrictions.

To small seating area with small tables and uncomfortable chairs, the breads was not fresh and the tea was light, the scrambled eggs were dray and tasteless, overall it was not good experience to us.

Decent food. Overpriced. Very much so, even for Switzerland. Not recommended for locals or tourists. The place is warm enough tho.

I passed by this place this morning, very pretty setting. On the other hand, the cards in English on the tables. . . We are in Lausanne, no, so French would be more appropriate, it seems to me. And the espresso for 4frs is not great, no foam

Very rude staff! I sat down at the table, no one calculated for me, I had to go get the card alone. I order, they serve me the bread and not the orange juice, I had to go get it and the icing on the cake the waitress forgot the croissant which is part of the menu but she made me pay in full when I told her I said you forgot the croissant, she nodded without saying sorry...it's just disgusting!

Passing through while waiting for my train, a stop for daily bread, despite the crowd, impeccable service, the smile in the morning that is a pleasure. The completely reasonable value for money formula. Thank you to the two blonde waitresses for brightening my day :) I would come back with my eyes closed!

15CHF for a sandwich is a steal…

Chicken wrap was good. Salad was good but maybe a bit bland (will be better with some olive oil lemon salt dressings). Coffee was not fragrant. Location easy to find. Inside is narrow if you have luggage. Table too small to put more food.

The employee told me to sit down but arrived without a menu, without a word and with such fed up on her face and in her attitude... Clearly I had the I feel like I'm disturbing and it's tiring! And the payment at the counter was not any warmer…

I always enjoy having a coffee with daily bread. The service was impeccable from the moment I arrived and the staff were warm and welcoming. The waitresses are extremely kind and always with a big smile!! I highly recommend the vegan shakchouka! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to have a good time alone or with friends. What joy this daily bread!

The bread is good but the rest is clearly not out of the ordinary given the prices. Also prepare to eat cold or lukewarm...the waiter is completely overwhelmed and you sometimes have to repeat to be sure of being served without waiting more than ½ hour.

Terrible service. 15 minutes of waiting for a simple coffee and when I ask why they tell me that I was forgotten and that I should have come forward... next time let me go behind the bar and make my own coffee this will be simpler^^

Unfortunately, I wasn't very happy with the experience I had at "Le Pain Quotidien" in Lausanne last Saturday....if the place and the food/drinks were appreciated as always, the service left me quite perplexed. The waiter, who was alone, was completely at a loss: we had to wait a good 40 minutes for the coffee (the place was not particularly crowded). The waiter's lack of practicality in managing the various tasks (taking orders, serving, collecting, preparing drinks, etc.) made everything truly stressful and unpleasant. The waiter, obviously nervous, then began to give answers where he hid sarcasm behind fake courtesy, which I honestly found unpleasant. Perhaps on weekends and at the most popular times, it would be appropriate to have two people, to avoid total tilt situations like these...

A machiatto latte and salmon toast without any accompaniment =30.- All is said !

Very slow service, after 20min of waiting for someone to come get our order we left the place.

We waited 20 minutes, and no one came to take our order. It was 2:30 p.m., and few people. When another customer arrived 15 minutes after us, he was served fairly quickly. So we preferred to leave, rather than be forgotten.

Nice place for breakfast or brunch. Service was fast and friendly, and the ambience was warm and cozy. They had a good selection of pastries and coffee. Great location near the station and at the lobby of the Hotel Continental.

Brutally expensive for very mediocre food & drink.

It is not my habit to leave a negative comment but I must alert the chain which, moreover, and in France in particular, offers quality products faithful to their image of "organic, fresh, eco-friendly, healty whatever." that", but then in that of Lausanne... - we ask for a pressed orange we have a kind of chemical fanta without the bubbles - chai tea is full of water and tasteless - soft-boiled eggs are lukewarm hard-boiled eggs, it's impossible to put a piece of bread in them - we suspect the scrambled eggs come from cartons intended for fast food, or really overcooked and really too long ago. Obviously, it's expensive, very expensive, like organic food consumed in Switzerland, in fact the restaurant was empty at 1 p.m. Friendly and supportive thoughts for the staff who have nothing to do with it, are charming and even changed the boiled eggs for us.

Well, I am surprised to read the positive reviews regarding a warm welcome and tasty dishes. Greeted today by a waitress who does not look the customer in the eyes. No smile, feeling of being disturbed when asking for the menu card. I really wanted to eat brunch so I ordered the avocado toast, a small Mesclun salad and a boiled egg... the salad sauce seemed bought to me (I would have to ask) and really not good, cucumber and fresh radish but soft salad leaves... the egg is not accompanied by bread... I think the person must have thought that I had enough with the toast... so no butter, no breadcrumbs possible. The toasts are good though. The avocado is good, the guacamole too. With the teapot of black tea half filled, I am still on my toes. All this for a modest sum of… I imagine around 35 francs. It’s great. However, I am a big fan of this channel! I love going to Geneva for example. When I go to Los Angeles I have breakfast there every morning. Same in NY. Brief. Le Pain daily de Lausanne is not up to par with the chain! Damage.

A warm welcome, a very friendly team and a manager who listens to customers. A simple but fine cuisine and rich in taste. This is the first time I've bothered to post a comment because it's necessary.

I wanted to get some croissants to-go and have been told that there is no more croissant by showing me the empty basket. While I was walking to the door to leave the place, they brought a new basket of croissants without letting me know and serve the guy after me the croissant while I was still inside! Unprofessional, unmotivated and rude workers. Better you find another place for starting your morning in a good mood.

Total rubbish. It's overpriced. Guacamole really not tempting and not homemade either. I won't go back there again.

For a place called daily bread, the bread is not at all daily...awful, dry and hard. The prices are simply unjustified. Renaming it the Daily Flight, or the Daily Brick would be more appropriate. The service is not crazy. Oh and also the “fresh” orange juice, freshly cut with water. Riding the wave of overpriced avocado toast for sores is understandable but at least offer quality bread and decent service.

The place looks nice and cozy. I ordered to take away a soup (without bread) and a slice of quiche and was quite disappointed by the price, 20.40 chf. I mean, for a glass of soup and a slice of quiche it is totally overpriced. The food was ok. But a least it was worth a try.

Overpriced and long waiting times.

After having consumed two sandwiches and homemade cold tea and an apple, I was extremely surprised by the price which was 30chf Considering my consumption, I find that this is authorized theft. In any case I don't recommend this restaurant.

I don't know about the rest, but the piece of apple pie was overcooked, sugary and burnt under. A really bad deal for a hefty price which had made me expect something special. Despite the rather friendly service, the place was so noisy that I literally had to run away from there not to wake my baby. Not my daily bread.

My girlfriend and I visited Le Pain Quotidien for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We knew the brand as there are quite a few of these restaurants in London so we thought we would give it a go. Staff were very nice and friendly and they spoke English. The food was good and the menu was clear with vegetarian & vegan options clearly marked. The main improvement opportunity would be around adding more vegan options which would definitely bring in more customers. Positive experience overall and will definitely go back.

I asked if they have anything without gluten available and they told me they don’t. Then I asked again a different waitress and apparently they found something! This was not my best experience so far, but the normal brunch menu looks like a good deal!

One of the best place in Lousanne if you want to have a Brunch, we went there a bit late but they prepare us a perfect meal!, Juices, croissant, yogurt, cereals, bread and butter!, All was not so expensive and really tastefull. 100% recommended

Very good breakfast and brunch place near Lausanne train station. They have a mix of bread and spreads breakfasts , eggs and avocado and salads. Their bread baskets and spreads are a must try .

We decided to do a day trip to Lausanne and we're just arriving the station. It was early and we needed to have breakfast so we went to Le Pain Quotidien. The food looked really good, the place was cozy and the classical ambience music in the background was perfect. I went for the cappuccino, the pain aux chocolat and the selection of breads with jams and butter. Even though I didn't like some of the breads that were too sweet, everything else was delicious!

It's one of our most favourite restaurants to visit for brunch... been to their outlets in London and Brussels so far... This one in Switzerland wasn't any different... Excellent food and drink options and perfect for a light and healthy brunch.

When I go to Lausanne by train, a short break - waiting is essential.

The price-quality ratio is very poor. For hotel guests it is not worth the pain to go there. CHF 16 for a coffee (light), a fresh squeezed juice and a granola?? In addition we have to manage to organize the jams for the other tables ourselves. The staff does not seem very motivated. However, the quality of the breakfast was ok.

Very particular café-pastry shop located exactly opposite the Lausanne train station. A new concept that tries to recreate the home environment. Exactly the opposite of Starbucks (which by the way is right next door). You have breakfast in ceramic cups, there are jam jars like at home and everything is served on "old-fashioned" terracotta cutting boards. There is also a bakery-pastry department which they say is homemade. Good, but not great. Rustic wooden tables and not the best service. It's worth a visit perhaps for breakfast on Sunday morning
