Les Halles in Zürich

Great place in Zurich Hardbrücke! Sensational food, cool drinks and great service. Always worth a visit! But be sure to reserve!!

We must already find it! You enter through an ordinary entrance door and then it's a real vintage museum, very pretty but the prices...! 3 Spritz almost 50 francs When we go out we don't count but still!!!

Les Halles is famous for its 'Moules et Frites'. But unfortunately we did not experience this at all. The mussels were small and overcooked, and hence tough, and about 20% of the shells were empty, broken or not opened during cooking. The sauces seem to be put on top after cooking, so these were mainly on top of the mussels shells, and so the mussels itself were not flavoured. The portion french fries were incredibly small. All in all a big disappointment.

The mussels weren't tasty at all. The mussels were dry and the broth was tasteless. Three of us had mussels and we all agreed. Far from "the best Moules & Frites in town".

We were there for the first time. The mussels were very tasty (a bit small and lots of stones or pieces of shell in them). The ambience is special and has a certain flair. Unfortunately the service was somehow unfriendly and not really attentive. In retrospect, we wished it had been explained to us that we had to order the food and drinks ourselves at the respective counters.

Received the wrong wine and the cocktail needs the right service otherwise the drink for 17.- will be extremely poor with a lot of ice. The tarte flambée was a bit dry but the mussels were delicious! The atmosphere is very suitable for private, casual meetings and is only 3' away from Hardbrücke station

Great place for a casual evening. The place is decorated in a rather chaotic but cozy manner making it feel like some kind of place one might find pirates having a great evening. The food is alright, nothing special and the place can get very loud. They also have a good selection of wines and the service is kind.

I'm actually shopping at Les Halles SA SHOP organic store in the neighborhood shop and the advice on site is also very good and the saleswoman was also very friendly with me and just wrapped my shopping in a paper bag.

Les Halles is a restaurant/bar with a mix of Italian and French Mediterranean cuisine. The furnishings consist of a hodgepodge from the last century. The atmosphere is more relaxed and the audience is mixed. In the back room you can get antipasti and drinks. When it comes to the main menu, moules are a big hit as up to 100kg go across the table per day. They're quite acceptable for my taste, but they can't be compared to moules right by the sea in the south of France. How could they, since of course the ambience of the sea and the feeling of vacation are missing. What I noticed very positively is the very attentive, friendly and well-positioned staff. Just go there and judge for yourself. We will definitely go by there again.

Special concept, but not cool. Food is quite tasty. Very crowded, but you can also make a reservation. You order and pay directly at the cash register, and the food is then brought to the table. Large selection of drinks.

Cool location in an old warehouse. Despite the rather rustic furnishings and the large open space, there is a feeling of coziness. You have to get your own drinks and food, but that doesn't detract from the experience. In terms of food, there really should be something for everyone. If you happen to be in Zurich or in the area, you should definitely plan a visit.

Self-service restaurant with antipasti, cheese and meat counter... a small bar that offers various cocktails, a huge selection of beers, and there is also a wine bar where you can help yourself find the right drink. For vegans, vegetarians and meat lovers. And gluten-free or for people with various allergies there is also something included.. Dog and child friendly (who are noise resistant.) friendly, helpful

It was nice here yesterday. Great location with cool furnishings and really nice staff. Very personable, prompt and sociable. The pub quiz was really fun. We'll be back soon.

It took an exasperatingly long time for anyone to acknowledge our presence, let alone take our order. Moving on to the food, I have no choice but to label it mediocre. The dishes were uninspiring, poorly executed, and lacked any discernible flavor. It was evident that little care had gone into their preparation. The presentation was equally lackluster, with each plate looking like a haphazardly thrown-together mishmash of ingredients. In terms of cleanliness, the restaurant fell short yet again. The overall cleanliness of the dining area was questionable, and the tables remained untidy throughout our visit. It was disappointing to see a lack of attention to basic cleanliness standards in a dining establishment. Furthermore, the pricing was unjustified, given the food and service quality. The exorbitant prices would have been acceptable if the experience had been exceptional, but sadly, it was far from it.

Very unfriendly meaning at the bar today January 31, 2024 at around 4:30 p.m. It's a shame if a person wearing dungarees ruins the whole experience. Incomprehensible.

Worst food and worst service in Zurich

Alternative restaurant with hanging bicycles, antique chairs and varied decoration but with spectacular food. The entrance to the bar does not invite you to enter because it is scruffy but inside, it is very good. We ate meat, mussels, raclette and flammkuchen, delicious. My two daughters, ages 6 and 11, enjoyed the food and the atmosphere too, although there were no children, they loved the flamenkuchen and a kind of dough cake with tomato and cheese. It's noisy and messy but it's part of the charm of the place. The people who served us were friendly with our little English (we don't speak German, only Spanish) and we understood each other perfectly. The next day, we ordered takeout dinner to eat at the hotel because our vacation was ending.

Good moules frites and aperitif in a special “market hall” atmosphere, which also means quite narrow and loud. reservations recommended

The first waitress was absolutely unfriendly and didn't know how to deal with the customers. Your decency and choice of words were completely out of place. We then left 15 minutes later without ordering because she didn't even apologize for her misconduct, looked at us stupidly and didn't even want to come take our order.

As soon as we entered the restaurant, the waitress completely ignored us, then we sat with our group and she suddenly stood behind us and I quote: “You need me, I have a plan for you” simply unfriendly, disrespectful and unaware of how to treat guests

Price/performance is ok. Well attended and very loud. Fresh draft beer. The ambience has charm.

Personally, I think that this is a place to go looking for couples, girlfriend, husband, lover, ECT, well, it's a little small, there's not much space to dance, you're always in constant constant pressure because it's too small to go and have a drink, 2 hours is worth the It's a shame, I don't think there are more spacious places, plus the people who go there are between 18 and 23 years old.

Not best places for food and services but always pretty busy but rather good atmosphere, big table good for big group. A Bit noisy for kids and access via stairs only

If two cars are parked in a closed car wash, one with an Italian license plate and one with a Swiss license plate, and only the car with the Italian license plate is removed, what do you call that? Discrimination or racism? Ridiculous for Switzerland in 2024. I would like to point out to the gentleman who runs the parking lot at this place that the Italian who had his car taken away is the same one who pays his pension.

A quirky eatery with a wide variety of foods. Excellent beers and wine selection as well. Really enjoyed the place.

Original decoration and an eclectic collection of items can be found: bicycles 🚲, antique watches, a skeleton 😅 Also 2 pinball machines , and table soccer 😀 Food: Flammkueche, mussels 🦪, Salami and cheese antipasti, and more can be ordered. Very cool shed. The concept is reminiscent of a large fish market in the south. The food is also fine, but the service could be a bit more chatty/friendly.

Had to scream for an evening and extremely small portions and high prices. Drinks start at 6.50 CHF for iced tea. Wine is the first good bottle 75.- for staff and 28.- for retailers. Afterwards we went to the kebab opposite

The pieces of cake for CHF 7.50 are cut as small as possible - stupid. - Toilet: always smell bad, the light deliberately seems so dim so that you don't have to see the misery. But hey, a scented tree for that!

Was there to say goodbye to former manager at main company. Quite nice place. Not so many there on a Friday night, but some were sitting outside. Will most likely come back

The food is appealing and there is something for those with a small appetite as well as for those who like to eat well. A part of the place is served in other areas is self-service. It is a place suitable for a convivial evening with friends. A small problem with the place is that the music is always loud, which makes it difficult to talk.

I have often come here for moule er frites and have always been very satisfied. Today not only was the service snippy, the mussels were also extremely dry and there was hardly any sauce. The price is not worth it!!!

Enjoyed various espressi outside and at the end a nice white wine. The barman was great to suggest a wine and also being able to taste it.

Different, fun and casual. An informal restaurant with a very good atmosphere. The food is very delicious. The moules-frites (mussels) dishes are abundant and very delicious. You order food and drinks at the bar. They have table football. We had a great night and had a very good dinner.

Great spot to satisfy the mussels craving! However, quite pricey for what you get. 32 CHF for mussels and fries, and 14 CHF for a small portion of falafel and hummus. Great spot also to just come for some beers with friends 👍🏼

Great place for a drink after get off work on a Friday. There is a limited range of food options, including freshly cut salami and olives. Ordered a thin crust pizza with cheese, onions and bacon for 19 francs. The taste is normal, no merit or fault. Real beer, 6 francs for 3cl.

It's what the name says, a hall. Very comfy but loud. Food is served but you have to order it at a bar. Drinks you have to go get yourself. All in all it's perfect for a night out with friends and food that is good for your soul.

The concept is reminiscent of a fish hall or a wholesale market: customers sit in the middle and you can order different things at several counters. Cool in itself, but it takes a while to get sorted. Advice at the counter was great, but the food was just left without comment. Quality and taste are excellent! If you don't mind the look of the hall and the noise level, you can spend wonderful hours here.... Reservations are recommended!

What a hidden gem! One of my favorite spots in Hardbrucke area, with a hard to find entrance door to a massive hall. The food and ambiance was great, definitely recommended for friday night!

Quite a busy but very friendly and uncomplicated restaurant, somewhat hidden in the trendy district 5. Something like a small market hall, you can take all sorts of delicacies and drinks to the rustic tables. The service is youthful, refreshingly nice and helpful, the partial self-service program. The restaurant is usually busy, it's worth making a reservation and it is a bit noisy, but bearable.

Unfortunately not as good as last time in December. This time the “classic” sauce for mussels was watery and didn’t taste like much. I thought she was bad. Now I'm even being mean: the mussels from Migros taste finer. But I don't know whether the many guests come because of the mussels or the ambience? The fries are very fine and fresh, service is fine. If there are a lot of people, it gets uncomfortable: incredibly loud, like in a huge chicken coop and if you want something to drink you have to wait in line for a relatively long time. It didn't work for me.

You can still have a good conversation here in the early evening, but at some point the music will be turned up significantly. You order everything at the respective counter and pay immediately. The food was a bit too expensive for what was offered, but it was well cooked.

Sooo crowded. The food is okay, vegan option is considerable. The vibe here is cozy and friendly. Staffs are friendly. I wish if they could manage orders in demand better as we were with a 50-people group and we already ordered all food before arriving. I heard lamb is the best option here, you can give it a try.
