Nice terrace where I ordered a hot chocolate, so sweet that it was almost undrinkable and priced at 6 CHF. I felt bad after drinking it.

Always a delight! In a unique and green setting, it’s really a plus to come with sunny weather to sit on the terrace.

Excellent cuisine, warm welcome...but price too high for what is offered.... Potatoes extra for tartare at 37chf seems a bit exaggerated..... The portions for the other dishes are also relatively small ...

This is the first time someone has refused to take my order (two cokes) because “drinks are not the priority and there are meal orders to be taken.” If employees don't want customers to come inside to order, don't let them wait 10 minutes outside. Especially if it’s to be so rude. Too bad, it was a place that I appreciated during my visits to the hermitage. I won't come back again.

Magnificent place, really very welcoming and very pleasant and calm setting! We had brunch there and all the dishes we ordered were delicious, as were the drinks, we were not disappointed! However difficult to access by car the car park next to the sketch is private for the staff, so we had to go to the signal car park a good bit further up

Place discovered as part of the Sunday brunch. Rather difficult parking in the surrounding area; you cannot drive to the front of the building, you will have to walk from the main road. The staff is welcoming and helpful, the service is rather quick. All the dishes we tasted were good. Small (or big) downside, this new concept of brunch where restaurants serve several services and therefore your time to eat is “counted”. It's really sad, because the whole principle of a brunch is to take your time without being stressed by the thought of freeing your table on time for the next ones. Maybe brunch before wasn't profitable enough for restaurants, in any case it's losing the charm of brunch. This is why I only give it 4/5 stars.

Went there for dinner, the food is good, but extremely expensive, 21.- for 4 gyoza, 40.- for 4 slice of meat and 100gr of rice, we finished by eating a pizza right after. Btw, service and food is good

Brunch for 3. Excellent, the salad with salmon toast, and a tartare, all of very good quality, served quickly and with great kindness. The ice creams are excellent and not too sweet, and the chocolate cake is unparalleled. To recommend, plus the idyllic setting.

Τhe Coffee was not Coffee...I have travelled in so many places and i can confirm that i liked only the place because of the green and fresh air..I havent tried the food yet...

July 9, 12:30 p.m., beautiful summer day after our visit to the museum, we were planning to have lunch at l'Esquisse with our two children. We request an indoor table. One of the four staff in place told us that she no longer takes customers because there is not enough space outside and that she was not serving inside. The inside is empty, and outside we have 8 tables with customers for 4-5 empty tables. Not wanting to make waves, we do not insist. If all outdoor tables were reserved, it would have been a bit more diplomatic to specify this, as would the explanation for refusing to serve indoors. Apart from that, neither the time, nor the crowds nor the staffing could justify the refusal to serve us.

We had a wonderful time, my husband and I sketching. A few small errors during the service which can be explained by the modification of their table plan and which made us laugh a lot :) The manager takes the time to explain the reason to us and offers us digestives, he tells the story of the choice of their menu in connection with the museum. The dishes are delicious, we appreciated the quality of the products and make a special mention of the fact that they are local and home-cooked. Well done, we will come back.

Very good experience. Beautifully located just by the musee de l'hérmitage, the place has a pleasant climate to it, especially in the evening. When seated outside, you can see the mountains from afar. The food was quite pricey, 19 chf for a starter, but it was absolutely delicious. Definitely, we will come back and try other positions in the menu.

Disappointed with the menu choice plus a starter 35 too expensive in my opinion as a retired restaurateur. Service lacks professionalism but still my private opinion Too bad With SmartBox voucher a plate and a dessert ⚠️

A nice, relaxing place to enjoy a good brunch with a breathtaking view of Lake Geneva and Lausanne Cathedral. Impeccable service, we were offered a small chocolate fondant for the birthday.

A restaurant in a quiet location. That's great. 😉

The desserts are extremely tasty and unique, however the drinks are not spectacular. The atmosphere is relaxed but since it was raining, part of the restaurant/cafe was smelling like wet dog. The table was a little sticky and no napkins were served. The staff is kind but wanted us to pay directly after the order which gave off a distrusting impression. All in all agreeable after visiting the Foundation de l'Hermitage Exhibition but I wouldn't come here just for the restaurant.

Discovery brunch. Brunch prices really don't match the plate. (Chf26.-!!!!!) But great setting, great service and good welcome.

Small restaurant associated with the Hermitage art museum, They serve simple but honest food with brunch on Saturdays and Sundays when the art loving BoBo's from Lausanne and its region visit the museum. Usually brunches permit the participants to chose freely from a buffet, here you pay for each dish and this may add up to a considerable amount of money, in particular for a family. The terrace is lovely when the weather is nice and you have a view over the cathedral, the lake and the alps. The children can use a nearby playground. Not particularly good value for money.

Reserved for one person during the week for lunch. Very warm welcome, small menu, I chose the daily special formula (starter + main course = 27fr.). Very good quality. Fast service, the price is consistent with the location and quality.

Very warm welcome by the waitress, few dishes on the menu but that equates to quality. Lunch prepared with fresh, varied and colorful products (edible flowers). We discovered a very good white (Chasselas by Vincent Graenicher). In addition, dogs are allowed (if trained).

Came to visit the exhibition at the Hermitage Museum, around 1:30 p.m., we stopped at the restaurant for dinner (3 people) the waiter declared us goodbye and turned on his heel. Despite the empty tables on the terrace and in the dining room and service until 11 p.m.... Thank you too bad we regularly go to the foundation museum.

Bad experience : Coming to visit an exhibition at the Hermitage Foundation, we wanted to discover the restaurant. We arrive around 1:30 p.m. at 3 to eat. The waiter tells us they are full, says goodbye and turns on his heel. He doesn't even suggest we come back a little later. Really disappointing welcome, we didn't even want to stop on our way out to have a coffee. We come to the foundation often but we will make arrangements to eat beforehand. Too bad, a slightly more professional welcome would have made us want to try again.

Unpleasant waiters not hesitating to ask them to leave quickly to make room for the next customers, responding that it was not them who made the cold tea when asked for the aroma... a shame because the place is charming

By far one the best brunch places in Lausanne. There are few choices on the brunch menu, but the quality is very high. I did enjoy my cappuccino, with a super nice presentation, and my sweet pancakes. I've also tried bacon and eggs and the bacon was just delicious. They serve mainly local products which make this place an A+ site. The view from the Hermitage over Lausanne is breathtaking.

The vibe and park around are nice. The waiters are attentive. On the downside, the brunches are over around 12:00 (when we arrived), and only cold dishes and raw meats were served. Had one ceviche and beef tartare both of which tastes very average. Everything was served beautifully but you could tell they are all coming from the fridge to reduce serving time. Nothing was freshly made! The chairs were not super comfortable. The prices considering the cold serving of the dishes and their tastes were too expensive. I would think two times before going there if I don’t mind the expense.

Hello, I came with my mother on Saturday June 25 and we found the dishes good. My mother had ceviche and I had savory pancakes. Everything was good except the eggs scrambled, they were bland. Even in a hotel the eggs are better and even I make them better. A waiter was friendly and very smiling towards us, but a waitress sent away a customer even though he had a reservation. A wait of +45 minutes during which time we could have visited the museum. The icing on the cake, I have a latte macchiato, there were flower petals placed on the foam.

Brunch on the terrace, magnificent place but minimal service. Disappointing value for money. Damage.

Nice weekend brunch place with great food or just to have a beer or coffee. Sweet terrace and a nice early afternoon sun trap in spring/summer. Would be nice if they could offer beer on draught as well as in bottles. That said it’s a good address in a pretty location above the city.

Accueil sympa et prévenant. Ça fait plaisir de pouvoir profiter d’une terrasse magnifique par ces temps chahutés. La carte est restreinte (mais on comprend pourquoi) cependant ce qui proposé est très bon. Petit moment hors du temps... ça fait du bien.

I went here with friends for a lovely, sun-filled brunch. The eggs benedict were perfect and the bloody marys absolutely hit the spot. The outdoor space felt relaxed, but bustling, and the staff were attentive and courteous. Will definitely go back.

I’ve visited many times and always have a fantastic experience- definitely the best brunch in Lausanne! Attentive service and delicious food that is always beautifully presented. Grab a table in the garden, order the eggs Benedict with perfectly poached eggs and fantastic bacon, grab a Bloody Mary and you have a recipe for a superb morning. The view is also so sweet, making this feel like a destination venue.

Grand n’importe quoi.. réservé pour le 2ème service à 13h30, le responsable très « poli «  nous indique une première fois 3 minutes d’attente puis suite à notre demande car nous avions réservés nous a répondu: si vous n’êtes pas contents vous n’avez qu’à aller ailleurs. Si un restaurateur n’est pas capable de gérer ses réservations et faire comprendre à tous que chacun doit faire un effort. Il faut qu’il change de métier. J’espère que les autres restaurants sont plus sérieux. Je suis venu de loin avec ma femme pour voir mon fils et se faire un restaurant pour la fête des mères et bien celui-ci ne me verra jamais. Je n’ai alun mots pour qualifier ce restaurant et son patron. LAMENTABLE

Splendid terrace in an idyllic green setting. Century-old trees and flower beds, chirping and not a sound of a car! Nice choice of original drinks and Dr Gabs beers. Ideally complements a visit to the Hermitage. Looking forward to the restaurant reorganizing culinary evenings in conjunction with the exhibitions!

La culture et la gastronomie ça se marie bien . Accueil souriant malgré le masque oblige , simplifier grâce a l'application SocialPass , ça fonctionne. Nous avons pris le menus du jour, une petite soupe aux oignons en entrée, et après un filet de Colin sur un écrasé de pommes de terre avec une sauce très agréable, des petits légumes servi a part , tout cela était très bon .Accompagné d'un verre de vin blanc un assemblage de la Côte qui allait très bien avec . Une bonne adresse A conseiller .
