Service is great, food ok, not authentic Italian as I was looking for, the speed is really slow. But if you want to enjoy a good conversation and have a few glasses of wine, you might not mind waiting. We liked their spareribs, the rest of the dishes were solala.

Top top top, we were now at Luca and de Luca's for the third time, it was simply perfect every time. From the service to the wine, the food and the desserts, the great and funny conversations with the boss - simply wonderful. We would like to come back soon. My visit to this restaurant was a real highlight from start to finish. As soon as I entered, I was warmly welcomed by first-class service who took the time to explain the entire menu to me in detail and present each dish with expertise. The wine recommendation turned out to be excellent and rounded off the culinary experience perfectly. Based on a recommendation, I chose the spare ribs and I have to say I wasn't disappointed. The tender meat literally fell off the bone before I even got a chance to taste it. The sauce was a revelation - perfectly balanced and full of flavor. With Abtsand the best spare ribs I have ever eaten. The homemade chili sauces for which the restaurant is known were particularly impressive. A real treat for all lovers of spicy flavors, but be careful, they are really spicy! The ambience of the restaurant is as inviting as it is tastefully decorated. The two Lucas who run the restaurant undoubtedly know how to pamper their guests and offer an unforgettable culinary experience. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to returning again soon.

Cuisine is product all the way, with techniques right where they should. In our visit we had a simple aglio e olio, but with such an exclusive set of pepper sauces. Incredible going from a simple base to a well rounded experience. The Luca in the kitchen is great, but the Luca in the room is just great. We got a selection of wine that did what it should and allowed me to discover an spumante that I could have kept drinking the whole month. Ambiance is fantastic with about 10 tables and the right spirit. I will definitely come back.

I love the place. I've been there multiple times and it's, my go-to place for a somewhat elaborate restaurant, no very expensive for Zürich given the quality. There were only a few dishes on the menu which usually indicates they do everything themselves. And I can confirm, after being here a dozen of times, everything is homemade (except the foie gras ice cream). And everything is extraordinary. There are some really elaborate, extraordinary dishes, like the ossobucco burger, which the cook dreamt of and only succeeded to do after many attempts. Luca is very good at finding the right wine for each dish you take. I strongly recommend taking wine by the glass here (it's not more expensive anyway). The owner is very friendly and will always come to chat with you with some good story about the wine or something else.

A small but fine restaurant in ZH Hottingen. There are parking spaces (white, 0.50 per hour free until 8 pm afterwards) right around the corner and tram numbers 8 & 3 stop on Hölderlinstrasse just a few meters from the restaurant. The restaurant seats around 40 people, has a varied menu (we enjoyed the Ossobuco with saffron risotto - a dream!) and an exciting selection of wines, which Luca explained to us with a lot of competence and detailed stories. A small menu, but with a good choice for everyone. Quality is outstanding, flavours original, presentation excellent. And the Luca attending us has so much energy, passion, info about the dishes and wines. Highlight was trying out the Illegale wine, limited bottles procured per year.
