If you want to enjoy delicious Persian cuisine, this is the place for you. As a starter, the three of us shared the large mazeh platter. Everything was really tasty and the quantity was perfect for 3 people. The main course was veal shoulder, which was an absolute highlight not only visually but also in terms of taste👏

As a Persian myself, I highly recommend this restaurant. The kebabs were AMAZING. Fantastic quality of meat and seasoning. Super fresh and the lamb fillet was so tender. Truly delicious and brilliant customer service as well. We even say outside in the cold weather as they had heaters to keep you warm. It's so lovely, highly recommend. Brilliant location as well❤️

I absolutely love this restaurant. It has one of the best Ghormesabze I have ever had. My mom is one of the best Persian cooks around and this place is as good as her cooking. I’m not from the Zürich area, but when I come to town, it’s always a stop for me. The ambience is nice and the service is excellent

I come from America to Zurich once a year just to go to this restaurant for a kebab. I found the kebab of this restaurant to be good. Everything is great and the chef is really an honest and respectable man. I myself have a restaurant in Los Angeles, but as a chef. I say the best food I ate in 65 years of my life 👍🏻 long live

The quality of the food was not sufficient, the kobideh kebab was not what you would expect from a traditional kobideh. The rice was of very poor quality, the starters weren't good either and, especially for this quality, the price was unfairly expensive. The toilets were dirty and unhygienic.

My wife and I had a great experience at this restaurant. The food was amazing, staff were extremely friendly, and it was the perfect day to sit out and enjoy our meal. Will definitely come back to this place. Thank you for your hospitality

Authentic Persian cuisine with variety of different dishes. Kebab, and other cooked food are perfect. Mezes aslo are made perfectly. We had mixed food of everything, and we all liked it. Service was good and fast. The combination of yogurt and olive was perfect too. Adding the traditional ice-cream at the end was a good ending. It's made with Safran. It has a place to sit inside and outside, with big tables good for groups❤️

A nice, courteous host couple. We got a table when the house was fully booked, even though we didn't have a reservation. After the meal, the innkeeper even drove us to the nearest train station in his private vehicle. Unfortunately, the service staff couldn't score points with either professionalism or charm.

Good Kubideh Kabab (80% beef, 20% lamb). Unfortunately, when combined with rice and bread in the standard version ordered, it was very dry; only the tomatoes added some juice. In my opinion, a standard sauce served with it would help. I got this when I made the comment, but by then I was almost finished eating.

They didn't have friendly and good behavior and the pictures they had on the menu were completely different from the food they had and they didn't have them at all and even the worst restaurants have a salad next to their food, but this restaurant didn't have it, even though they didn't have good food, but the price of the food was very high. They did not have a good bathroom, but the decor of the restaurant was good. In general, we regretted choosing this restaurant when we ate there one night.

Enjoyed my first experience with Persian cuisine at this Zurich restaurant. Delicious food in a relaxing atmosphere, adorned with beautiful Persian-style decor. Prices are reasonable, though the rice wasn’t as impressive. Overall, a great spot for exploring Persian flavors.

The battered kebab had raw kernels, the rice was too greasy. The aerated buttermilk was ready, I expected them to make it themselves. The only positive point was the amount of food, two people are satisfied with one press, with a normal appetite.

we were here on Sunday. We went for a walk and were looking for a restaurant to eat. Then we accidentally became aware of Mamma Persia. We really liked the atmosphere as soon as we entered. We felt like we were in a historical museum. the food blew us away. MamaPersia plate for 2 people was more than enough. the drinks were amazing.. authentic and excellent, visually appealing and very tasty.. the service was very nice and explained everything well. we'd love to come back. kind regards

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the food. It was very well made-tasted very nice and freshly made. The host was kind although overburdened with orders. The price is a disappointment. We felt it to be unreasonably overpriced.

We drove half an hour because it was written that the restaurant will be open, we came and it was closed, the telephone number is out of service. So bad. Will never come back and never recommend this restaurant.

Biggest ripoff I’ve experienced during my 17 years in CH. Had a very very overpriced and tasteless lunch with my wife, very small portions. Expressed our dissatisfaction when the waiter asked if we were happy but he clearly couldn’t care less. Avoid at all cost as this restaurant has nothing to do with authentic Persian food.

Very disappointing food. Meat skewer for 27.-- chf was an ordinary minced meat skewer that wasn't worth half the price. The saffron rice consists of dry rice with a few pieces of saffron rice in it. The delivery was still incomplete... way too expensive for the quality you get And no, this is not a fake review, as the owners often write in bad reviews. I rather assume that some of the good reviews are not real...

The food is very expensive for its quantity. I ordered a plate sufficient for two people based on what was mentioned on the menu, but unfortunately the quantity was more like one person. The account was 140 francs, which is equivalent to approximately 500 riyals, for one plate containing 2 kebabs, 3 small appetizers, rice, and vegetables only. But the food in general is delicious, but they should review the prices.

Already when I walked in, it triggered a super authentic feeling: the interior, the smell, Mama peeking out the kitchen who’s coming… When the Chenjeh Kebab (lamb kebab, کباب چنجه) came it already looked how it should look! And it tasted exactly how it should taste. You don’t get it much more authentic, particularly not outside of Iran!

Yesterday we celebrated my father's birthday at Mama Persia. They decorated everything beautifully and there was also a birthday song. Totally lovely! The food was excellent, the service was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was very cozy and appropriate. You also have to try the homemade drinks. It's definitely worth it! We will definitely come back!

We had made reservations in advance for five people with the note that it would be a birthday dinner. We found a beautifully decorated table, which made us particularly happy. The The food is authentic and extremely well cooked. The service was very friendly and almost familiar. The restaurant is small and accordingly cozy and oriental in design. We have finally found a restaurant where the price and performance are right.

A bit of a disappointment. Every single dish was off by a mile. I am all for innovation, but not following time hounered recipes and then producing sub par wierd tasting look alikes is not really innovative. The service was also hit and miss. It is a shame as we really were missing the taste of home and had very high hopes.

The atmosphere is a nice little restaurant. The food we ordered was a disappointment. Far too expensive for a two-person platter with 6 dip bowls, plenty of rice and a kebab piece and a chicken piece. You can get the kebab in any better kebab shop and it will certainly taste better.

Unfortunately I can't share the great reviews. Unfortunately, totally disappointed! Food far too expensive, no soul, hardly any seasoning! For two meat kebabs and a bit of rice and iceberg lettuce 130 Chf? The calculation doesn't work, I know that it is time-consuming to produce certain dishes on the menu, but that doesn't justify the exorbitant prices. You could hardly chew the beef skewer. Bread in a store like this, according to the reviews, bought, not homemade... the skewers were so la la, rice ok, but nothing special. Toilets weren't clean either, even though we were one of the first guests and the Aperol Spritz, which wasn't served as such, but was some kind of counterfeit drink, hardly any Prosecco in it, a lot of water...Creepy! What a shame for these prices! Unfortunately not a second time. And the gentleman sitting at the table in front of the toilets is also pretty scary. Much ado about nothing, the marketing and website look great, but I find what you get just cheeky for these prices. Even the umbrellas outside, all made very cheaply, have nothing of the Persian flair outside. I have been a chef for 15 years and have rarely been so disappointed. Never again! And no, I have nothing to do with your competition or get paid for writing reviews like that! We also had to wait a very long time for our beer, the bottle is placed on the table, not poured, and for 6 or 7 CHF and no beer on tap. Cheapest Prosecco and the glass for 7.50 CHF.. really sad and a total joke for us The customers. So to conclude, maybe it used to be better and that's why it won an award, but it's not an experience the way it's sold. I was really ashamed that I invited my colleagues there.

Great food on an outdoor patio. We were satisfied with the quality and the amount. We got the vegetarian, everything was very good. We got some baklava for desert, it was great!! Oh and it's just off the water which is always a plus.

Located in a beautiful place vis a vis from the lake. Decoration is cool and the aura is good too. A bit pricey.. The handmade drinks are very good, hummus is excellent and so is babaganush. Some of the Mezzes could be much much more better, so is baklava which I wouldn’t reccomend.

It is a nice Persian restaurant with dishes "adapted" to European tastes. The mixed meat and vegetable dishes were all good and although they were not abundant but we satisfied the appetite of 5 people with the dishes ordered for 4 people. The price/quality ratio is good
