Fancy, quite with affordables. The pieces of the cakes are really generous. The cakes are daily offer, so you see different kinds of cakes each day. They give you a piece of cookie as courtesy. There are clean toilets.

You feel welcome here! We went for a coffee on the right side of the two (different) Mardi Gras locations. Gladly again!

They have great options if you crave some dessert. We ordered the apple cake, which was on point, not too sweet, good balance between the amount of fruit and dough. The only negative thing was that the waitress wasn’t friendly at all.

We got kicked out over "only" ordering two espressos in half an hour. I have never experienced anything like this before. Like many others in the comments I have gotten kicked out of this café. First, the server lied to us and said the table was reserved, and a big group of six people were coming. He slammed the bill on the table, telling us the two espresso cost 10 chf. So I asked him if we could sit somewhere else and he said 'No!' He complained that he has to make money and just ordering two espresso wasn't enough. Mind you, we were sitting at the table for less than half an hour. He didn't even ask if we wanted to order something else, he just told us to leave and find another place. I will definitely not visit this café again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone, that does not want to chug their 5 chf espresso in one minute and then leave.

Lobster soup, ravioli, croque monsieur and madams were perfect. I’ve never had a better sandwich. Whomever gave less that 5 stars to these folks was having a bad day.

On one of the first days of spring this year, we sat down at one of the tables outside and looked forward to our first Apérol Spritz outdoors. But the disappointment was great: we were served a red, bitter drink without ice cubes and orange in a half-filled 0.1L wine glass. We couldn't explain why a broken wooden stick was floating in the inedible drink. A friend happened to be walking by, saw our glasses and burst out laughing, which infected us. When the bill came (12CHF / drink) we lost our humor. Nevertheless, we didn't want to let our mood be spoiled on this sunny day and decided to walk 50m further. We finally got our money's worth at Krienbrüggli and enjoyed two excellent aperol spritzes there.

Yesterday I went to Mardi Gras with my family & we ordered 3 drinks & 3 paninis. After 40 minutes of waiting, we wanted to pay for our drinks and leave because it took us too long for 3 simple paninis. The waitress didn't want to let us go and started arguing with us that it was normal to wait so long (she could have said at the beginning that you would have to wait longer for the paninis). We then simply put the money on the table and got up. One of their regular customers then insulted us. I have never experienced anything so rude and disrespectful in a café. That's why I won't come back and won't recommend it to others.
