Marzilibrücke in Bern

We had a salad bowl for 2 with buffalo. Was wonderful. And the house dressing is also super delicious. Main course tartar slightly spicy flavored with whiskey. Next time I would order mild because the whiskey was completely drowned in the slight spiciness. All in all, it wasn't exactly cheap, but it was worth every franc. Also super polite dialect-speaking service. I would immediately recommend it to everyone. Thanks.

Pleasant place and service (we were on the 1st floor). The menu is rather small, but the selection is varied. The food is fine, the portions are not too big, the prices are on the higher side.

Cool spot for fondue. They have old ski lifts and sauna huts out front that you can sit in if you just want to have the fondue experience. A nice date option, or if you dont mind sitting knee to knee with your buddy after a day of snowboarding. We had the truffle cheese and it was delicious. They serve potatoes, pickles, and pickled shallots with the fondue. I feel like like there should have been more options of cheese (there were only 2) and more of a selection of things to dip, considering the price (80franc for 2 people) but it was still a cool experience. They had a really nice wine selection.

The Marzilibrücke restaurant is a small gem on the Aare, below the Federal Palace and the city of Bern. The ambience of the restaurant is cozy, warm and lovingly furnished in a bistro style. The entire staff contributes to the hospitable, feel-good atmosphere. Everyone is very courteous and helpful. In winter, in addition to the always delicious seasonal and regional cuisine, it boasts fondue gondolas and fondu barrels set up in the garden. Another highlight of the restaurant is its great, or as they describe it, legendary Sunday brunch. We were there again and enjoyed the brunch. Since it was a birthday, the kitchen surprised us with a phenomenal piece of chocolate cake for the birthday child. ❤️ Thanks for everything!

I used to eat fondue here several times a year and for me it was one of the best in Bern. But unfortunately the fondu hasn't been as good since last year. It has strong alcohol taste. In addition, the prices are very high. Unfortunately the service doesn't speak a word of German and that's in Bern. Unfortunately she doesn't even try to speak German and I don't think that's possible. I will no longer eat fondue here every year.

Great atmosphere, nice staff, gladly again.

The cheese fondue was tasty, but tasted like wine, which was perhaps due to the different types of cheese. We still liked it and the side dish portions such as bread, potatoes, etc. were sufficient. It has to be said that the price was very high, but that seems to be normal in Switzerland in general. However, I would recommend everyone to eat there because it was a very cool experience to eat in a gondola. 👍

Very popular original restaurant

Pleasant atmosphere for this very well located restaurant. Unfortunately by far the least interesting of the three "Mar-" in the neighborhood (Marzer, Marcel's and Marzilibrücke). We sometimes wait a long time for service, and above all the food is ordinary. Alluring dishes on the menu too often turn out to be effortless and tasteless. Overall is acceptable, but this restaurant is never a priority destination.

Fondue in the gondola was super delicious. Nice ambience and service was also attentive. Unfortunately the service only spoke English and that in Bern. It's a real shame...

A fondue in the cabins...wow, nice service! Unfortunately it has become quite (far too) expensive. With 2 bottles of wine there is the expectation of not paying anything for a carafe of tap water. The 4 fondue portions for 2 adults and 2 children were not enough. Of course we paid for the 2 supplements twice as normal fondues...

Highly recommended! We celebrated our civil wedding in the Marzilibrücke restaurant and couldn't have wished for a more beautiful celebration. We were able to choose the menu with several courses, every single course was perfectly prepared and simply delicious including the wine recommendation. The service from Hannah-Lisa was great and made the evening something very special. Even the little guests later called the restaurant their new favorite restaurant. Thank you!

We were looking forward to a great evening for our wedding anniversary and our expectations were largely met. This was our first visit to the Marzilibrücke restaurant. The restaurant is rather small and a reservation is essential or highly recommended! We ordered the Hubertus menu with 5 courses twice. And it was a good choice - from the salad to the sweet ending, simply great and very tasty 😋 The service was discreetly friendly. In terms of price, the restaurant is on the higher end. Price/performance but completely suitable.

Meatloaf and non-alcoholic beer after work. You can eat comfortably outside with attentive service. What I liked was that the kitchen uses local products. Gladly again.

We arrived at 2 in the afternoon and they no longer served dishes from the main menu but they did serve pizzas and salads which were delicious. The service was very good and the terrace was completely covered with trees that softened the temperature of the place.

We went for pizza and they showed us a place in the garden. They took the drinks order, our drinks came first, but during the food order we said that we wanted pizza, you can't eat pizza here, you can eat pizza on the side of our garden, there is no space there, said the waiter. There is no sign informing us about this. The waiter also didn't inform us before ordering drinks. When we tried to ask the person in charge at the door to put up a sign informing customers about this problem, the waiter who was attending to us came and scolded us that there was no room in the pizza section! The woman at the entrance was polite and told us if you want to eat pizza I will arrange a place for you and I was satisfied.

Top!!! 👍😃 I discovered it again after a year-long break. Clear menu, super tasty pizzas and sustainable, as the bread that is served with the salad is served in paper bags instead of in a bread basket as usual. So you can easily take the rest home with you. I also praise the salad bowls, which are intended for sharing.

Ordered pizza there.... the most awful pizza I have ever tried. Not recommend at all. 100% tourist place. Better find something else. Doesn't worth money you pay.

The garden was fully booked and we didn't have a reservation. Nevertheless, a solution was suggested to us (inside). We were served very nicely. The food was very tasty and was served without long waiting times despite the full garden. Lovely again

Wonderful garden terrace in the shade of the trees. The quality of the food and the service are top, there is nothing to complain about at all. The prices are rather in the upper segment, but there are 2 lunch menus for under 25 Fr each. Always a pleasure.

Reservation went smoothly, service was very friendly, food was also very good. But according to your "gastro concept" (original sound), you can't get pizza on the front terrace even though the oven is full around the corner, so I don't know...

Had lunch here with a group of friends. The meatloaf was excellent, as well as the risotto. Staff helped us translate the menu and were very helpful. Beautiful outdoor garden area to eat in.

A liter of mineral water costs an impressive CHF 10.00. Since we are neither in the Dolder Grand nor on the Schilthorn, this is difficult to understand. The main problem, however, was the gluten-free pizza, which was specifically recommended to us at the entrance. The pizza was offered at a hefty price of CHF 25.00, so you can expect a high-quality, gluten-free alternative. But what I was served was anything but that. The pizza consisted of a white frozen dough that had obviously been made from a mixture of low-quality flour and had been briefly warmed up in the pizza oven. The taste was bland and the consistency was rubbery. It was clear that no care was taken to prepare a high quality gluten free pizza. The high price paid for this culinary misunderstanding was nothing short of outrageous. Therefore, my recommendation to the restaurant: either do not offer a gluten-free alternative or set a reasonable price: CHF 4.50. When I expressed my discomfort to the restaurant, I hoped that the staff would be responsive and customer-oriented. Unfortunately, it seemed as if the restaurant did not want to take any responsibility for the quality of its food. I would have known the prices when I ordered, unfortunately they couldn't accommodate you accordingly. There are many other dining options in the area that offer better value and higher quality.

We reserved a table at the restaurant to try the famous Swiss cheese fondue. We chose to sit outside, in beautiful cable car gondolas. The fondue experience is very different from the Brazilian one. The cheese mix is ​​more intense and the accompaniments are potatoes, small onions, penino pickles and bread. It was very good! Swiss fondue is worth trying.

I ate with a group of 12 yesterday at the pizzeria. Food was amongst the best I've eaten in Switzerland. Definitely the best service in friendliness and attentiveness. Pricing is value for money for the location and food quality. I took the Funicular down to the Marzili. I'm glad this is the restaurant I picked for this area. Highly recommended.

Good restaurant with a really great terrace that I discovered a few years ago. Especially great for having dinner outside in summer. They also have vegan dishes on offer which I can highly recommend. So far these have always been the same, I hope that they will occasionally renew the vegan offering.

Great lunch at Marzilibrücke! Amazing (and several) vegetarian options, not so common to find in Switzerland. The flavours are refined and interesting. Definitely not the classical salad!

We were there for the first time and ate fondue in a fondue barrel. The atmosphere was really great, the barrel was heated and also very comfortably furnished. The mountain fondue was very tasty and the service was also very friendly. We'd love to come back.

What still bothers me to this day is the 30 franc pizza. If you have to pay an extra 50 cents it's ridiculous and then you find out it doesn't have any on it! From 10x there is 5x on it. Apart from the general food is great.

Deeply disappointed with this restaurant, especially as the biggest cheese lover in the world. Their fondue tasted terrible, and I wasn't the only one. When I told them, they pushed me to buy another plate even though I said no thanks. They pushed me to buy the meat loaf, it was also garbage. Normally, in this situation, they will not charge me for the food I didn't eat. Anyways, they did. So I think it's important to share that I think Marzilibrucke was absolute garbage, and I can't recommend anyone looking for high quality fondue to eat here.

Very tasty but also very expensive…

That was a very unusual experience, because we ate fondue in a small cabin outside for the first time. Prices were normal for restaurants, not very high. The waitress was a bit tired and irritable, maybe because of the rain and lots of people, but we can't say she did not help us in anything we asked. The fondue was tasty, but a little tip: if you eat with children, don't order a normal portion for them, as it's too much, and there is some vodka inside) Their mull wine was tasty and great for the rainy weather. Disadvantages: if you eat outside on the cabin and sit near the cabin's door you the water can leak on your head. Please use silicone to fix this problem. Also a toilet was dirty, and it was only 4-5 pm. But we liked our experience anyway)

Went for fondue, which can only happen in the outside blocks. We stayed inside and the cod was just amazing. Less expensive than most decent restaurants. Totally Recommend
