We (my son and I) have had dinner with you 4 times now. I chose a different dish each time. Every time carefully prepared, generous portions, very tasty in a pleasant atmosphere and with friendly service. The bill was also reasonable. We'd love to come back!👋👋🤗😋

A very nice restaurant for foodies

The location, near the city center, was convenient. While the food wasn't very spicy and the taste was just okay, the service was a bit slow. On the upside, the restaurant had a pleasant ambiance.

1 hour 30 min waiting time for starter. We even had this experience twice! A pity. The food is good but with service like that the place might close again soon anyway.

Was OK. Unfortunately there is no longer a large selection (lunchtime). Unfortunately only sauces, dahl with sauce and vegetables with sauce. No more meat for us from the buffet because it's "finished". The service was friendly.

If you're an Indian then just say Namaste! :D Great value for money and the taste is just incredibly good! I ordered butter chicken which was served with rice. The food is presented very nicely and the food is always kept nice and warm. Always my pleasure. :)

Very long waiting time! Waited at least 3/4 to 1 hour for the food. You have to plan enough time. The food was otherwise very good, but unfortunately we couldn't enjoy it because we still had an appointment. A pity.

I visited this Indian restaurant in Bern with colleagues. Nestled in the city's center, the spacious restaurant boasts beautiful Indian-inspired decor. Offering a diverse menu of Indian cuisines, we ordered several items and here are my ratings: 1. Chicken soup: 2/5 2. Paneer Butter Masala: 2/5 3. Chicken Butter Masala: 2/5 4. Chicken Pakoda: 2.5/5 5. Paneer Pakoda: 2.5/5 6. Naan: 1/5 Despite hearing positive reviews beforehand, the taste was disappointing. While the service was commendable, the food didn't meet expectations. I hope they take this feedback constructively to enhance the taste quality.

Excellent ! We went to Namaste India for a birthday and the staff was very friendly and there was even a surprise dessert. The food was great, highly recommended!

The food was fantastic, very warm and cozy atmosphere for a perfect family treat, or a romantic dinner. Owner visited our table few times and made sure everything is good and we enjoying our meal. Went here today for lunch and had the lunch buffet.. the food was really good and we didn't understand why this place had such a low rating. deserves all 5 stars.. had the best quality indian food in switzerland (i am indian and can testify) and the buffet even had a dessert?? wow! I was so impressed with everything. Amazing. and very reasonable rate. hats off

Waiting was so long that we were about to walk out. Service was poor and they could not even serve our order completely. Definitely not recommended.

The food itself wasn't good at all. We ordered Butter chicken. We felt like we were eating pure Tomato sauce!. The service was horrible. We were waiting a long time for the bill. The "boss" wasnt friendly at all. The server (looked nepali) was really nice. If you want to try indian food, don't go here. You'd just waste your money.

The food is delicious, the vegan selection is very good, the atmosphere is OK (often only a few people), the service staff is friendly but everything takes a long time. I've been there twice within 9 months and both times the service was very, very slow (even though only about 1/3 or even 1/4 of the tables were occupied). Unfortunately this is a big deduction, otherwise the restaurant would be good!

Don't understand the bad reviews. The food is excellent. Service is friendly (but sometimes slow). The decor is very Indian and cool.

Excellent authentic food. A great deal is the "all you can eat" lunch buffet for 19 Fr. It's wonderful on the terrace, while inside it's rather depressing and smells strongly of kitchen. So it's better to sit on the terrace when the weather is nice. The staff wasn't really friendly, but it was OK.

Where to start with this one best restaurant Indian food 🍱,They exactly understand your tastebud requirements and they do speak in Hindi if you find any language barriers.we Ordered Jain food which is tough to get thru and same times Mrs singh (Manager) was precise about this. The Indian server is extremely racist towards her own kin. She made us wait one whole hour for 2 items of food while serving the white people and giggling with them the entire time.

I was at Namaste City Restauant today, enjoyed the buffet. It was very tasty, always fresh and really Indian. Highly recommended. 🙏👌

No taste in the food. Daal tadka didn't have any tadka. Garlic naan tasted like naan without any taste of garlic. Kadhai paneer's gravy tomato was not properly cooked. There was no difference between roti and laccha Paratha. Both tasted the same. Better to cook at home than eating from this place.

The lady who runs the restaurant is very very rude. Dont know what she thinks of herself. We just ordered one item. She took all the glass, cutlery everything. Dont visit this place very bad food taste. And irritating rude owner.

Since the delivery no longer comes from the Monbijou branch, the delivery service can no longer be used. I've been ordering the same thing for years: Paneer Makhani with different breads for dipping the delicious sauce. I have ordered twice since Monbijou closed. The first time the food was good, the papadum was missing. I called right away and got a refund on the credit card (within a short time thereafter). The second time the food tasted very bland. The portion was really small (it wouldn't even fill me up and I don't eat a lot), and the papadum was missing again. Both times the delivery person said that the papadum in the restaurant had not been given to him for delivery. So I'm calling right back to get a refund. Nothing. When I asked after 2 weeks, I was promised a refund, which I have not received to date (delivery was on March 19th). It's a great system to make portions smaller and not deliver things in the hope that no one will complain. PRETTY CRAP!!!!

If there is an option to rate -100 I would do that to this pathetic restaurant. It is called as indian restaurant---- It nowhere close to an authentic taste rather all the food items were bland and tasteless for such an exorbitant prices Infact, the lady made us to wait for 10 min at the entrance without any reason when the restaurant is almost empty. She neither has the courtesy or decency to greet. We sat and waiting and waiting.... we took buffet but without any cutlery or tissue paper provided. we had to ask for it and for that she would turn up lethargically, unpleasant way to just throw up some spoons. We need to ask for fork:: with a big, bold look, she would do it reluctantly. We asked for water: she has got no courtesy to ask if it is bottled or tap water. ultimately, asusual, brought bottled water against our wishes The owner will reply to this to justify, I know. But he has to concentrate on the lapses first rather than justifying. I will pass it on to my circle about this bad experience. Guys, you have better restaurants - better indian restaurants... Pls avoid this disaster !!

Food is not so good…. Rather below averages…. Atmosphere is good Seats were also good Chapatis were very hard Food was super spicy (without asking) Took super long to serve, and some customers were also left without ordering… Not too bad but not worth also at the cost of food… Chicken soup is not recommended as it tasted like the butter chicken gravy.

The food was very tasty but we were not at all satisfied with the service. We waited 20 minutes until we received the menu. Then I waited another 15 minutes until the order was taken. A total of 50 minutes of waiting time until the food was on the table. Unfortunately the rice was cold but otherwise the food tasted good.

Ordered food by phone. They said the food would be delivered in 45 minutes. After an hour we inquired and were told that the food would be delivered in 15 minutes. After two hours we still haven't received the food. Since I wrote the review while waiting, I can't give a review about the food. But would NEVER order here again!!!

Poor customer service and no regards for customers. No body came to take order even after waiting for 20 minutes we did confirmed that we are ready to order instead staff went to take orders from other guests who had just came to table. We did share concern that nobody has come to take order to one of the staff and still no response. Date : 7th April 2023 Time : 20 :15

Very good taste, slow service (1 hour wait) for lunch, wrong billing -> 2x liter of mineral water instead of 1x... it didn't bother the waitress who told us she could change the amount... what kindness! and billed 2x to the Visa account... -> refund request in progress... Thank you for always having to control and not being able to trust! It's always nice...

We got the lamb vindaloo and chicken biriyani and it was delicious. The mango lassi is also very good. The inside is well decorated and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend!

BEWARE VEGANS! This Indian restaurant in Bern has chosen to label a large selection of their dishes vegan. As vegans, this was appealing and helpful to us searching for dinner so we decided to eat here. We told the server we were vegan and would order options as such. We ordered 4 dishes. Two salads arrived with cream dressing which was clearly not vegan. And then our chapati arrived covered in butter. We had to send it all back and wait while the rest of our food got cold. There was no acknowledgement of these mistakes by the staff. This is not an inexpensive restaurant (even for Switzerland). Definitely would not recommend.

I gave them 2 star just because of the delicious foods . For these price ,I expected more. Although we reserved for 6 person,we had just 5 chair and it take a long to bring us a chair and the menus they were so slow and we had to wait a lot for our orders. We ordered our foods,which are not spicy but one of them was so spicy

We had to wait 3 hours for our food. The specified time was 60 minutes... and then a menu was missing and the rest was cold. The restaurant told us several times over the phone that food was on the way. So you are cheekily lied to because after that it still took 1.5 and we are a maximum of 15 minutes away... the driver has to apologize, you are kept in the queue by phone... I used to eat or order there quite often and it was always good. Sometimes delivery times are a little longer, but never to this extent! Am very disappointed!

It says that deliveries can take up to 70 minutes and the restaurant will inform you if there are any delays. Nothing heard. After 2 hours I asked again. Answer: the driver is on the way. Now we have been waiting another 45 minutes since the call. But the journey would take a maximum of 15 minutes.

Surprising little Indian place in the middle of Bern. Unspectacular from the outside but quite the experience on the inside. Recommended for lunch buffet and Indian food. Usually not too busy around lunch.

The food was pathetic, we ordered paneer masala and roti and both the items were so bad It was too costly 30 CHF for paneer gravy and 1 roti and also the taste was bland as if the curry was not even fried well it tasted like we were eating raw onions and tomato gravy Roti was so thick, it didn’t feel like we were eating Indian food

Delivery: food never came. we won't order from here again. We booked online direct. We called 15mins after the estimated order time and the lady told us it was enroute. That was a lie. Called 30mins later and the gentleman was apologietic, he went to look for our order and called back to tell us the kitchen never processed our order. Somehow their currier took the order without the food. Absolute shambles. Its was a preorder so had even more time to prepare. It was also a Tuesday so would be more understanding if it were at peak time.... unforgivable.

Last night we had a team dinner and the restaurant we have selected for this occasion was Namaste India City. The restaurant is very well maintained, clean and beautifully decorated. You feel like in the palace of a Maharajah. The selection of dishes is enormous. You have all varieties of food, from vegan to meat lover. The restaurant also serves Indian wine and beer. The staff is very friendly and helpful, sometimes a bit overwhelmed when there are many guests ordering in the same moment. The food was outstanding delicious. I have had the okra masala along with a garlic naan. Exactly the way I love it. For dessert I have chosen a chai masala along with a gulab jamun. It was really tasty. All in all it was a great experience and it was worth going to this place. It has definitely not been my last visit to this location.

Lovely terrace on top and excellent lunch options for a very fair price. Staff is very friendly and quick; make sure to check this great place out and don't be fooled: they have outdoor seating on the street but an even more lovely seating arrangement inside!
