Absolute leader in the Lucerne/Horw area for Thai food. You get big portions.

stir fried basil, obviously a 10/10. thai basil was a bit crispy/ hard. would be nice if it wasn‘t crispy. nevertheless, exactly like in thailand!!!

Mostly a take-out place, but it's possible to dine in. Typical mixed-Asian fare, maybe half Chinese and Thai. Surprising amount of heat in both the ginger chicken and Tom Kha Gai (made fresh BTW) for local palettes.

Very good food at a very good price-performance ratio. The atmosphere is rather small but nice. The service is first class. It is one of the best Asian restaurants in the canton.

For a quick snack. Cheap. Food is ok. There is no ambience.

The chicken meat comes from Brazil. It's sad that people still make money like this these days... The portions, on the other hand, are far too large - it's better to charge extra for larger portions instead of promoting food waste. And the taste: absolutely not convincing. Unfortunately, the whole thing didn't seem very fresh. Dear Mekong team: we are in 2023 - make something of your business!

Good Thai cuisine. Unfortunately the chicken is imported from Brazil (cruelty animal meat), so 3/4 of the selection is lost if you don't want to consume it, which is a shame. Could easily be sourced regionally. But most people don't seem to care, the main thing is that there's a lot and it's cheap.

Longer waiting times at lunchtime. The food is awesome, this speaks for the waiting times. 🙂

Portions large but too much rice and not enough meat and sauce. Chicken was dry with green curry. Things used to be better and fresher here. Unfortunately, the food here is not freshly cooked as one would expect from Thai kitchens. The service is also rather unfriendly and it's too much to greet customers with a smile. A pity..

The food is really great and not too expensive. It's best to get it on foot if possible, as there aren't many parking spaces in front of the restaurant (which are also occupied non-stop). However, it's worth it :)

As always, very good! But be careful if all the parking spaces in front of the shop are full, I would recommend that you don't park in the visitor parking lot in front of the house on the right. A nice gentleman stands behind the window there all day long and as soon as you get out you are asked if you would like to go to the takeaway. After we answered this question in the affirmative, the hate tirades began and we were insulted as a*ssies. We can feel very sorry for anyone who has nothing else to do on a Sunday afternoon and we hope that they can still find their inner peace. but the food was excellent as always!

I'm glad I discovered this place. I really enjoyed the green curry with tofu, it was very spicy and had a good taste. Service was very friendly and warm. Was in transit, so unfortunately I can't come back.

For a normal portion you pay 15 francs to take away. I got a huge portion (as requested) for an extra 2 francs. Sweet and sour is simply the best sauce I know in central Switzerland🤤🤤

Mekong is one of the best Thai Food Takeaway in the area with a large selection of already prepared food and very friendly service. They serve always fresh food and the prices are very reasonable. ☆☆☆☆☆

Cheap food in mixed rice style. Staff was kind enough to help explain the various dishes in English.

I was there last time and was totally satisfied with the quality; Quantity and price. There was also a very friendly staff there. Today an older lady, very unfriendly and as far as the quality, quantity and price are concerned, I won't eat there again. As others describe it, you smell incredible; and firstly I don't pay anything for that, and such people should do something smarter at home than treating customers badly and ripping them off.

Best Asian takeaway I know, I have never discovered a better one. The food is very tasty, the portions are generous and the prices are consumer-friendly. I can recommend it with a clear conscience.

Unfortunately NOT suitable for VEGETARIANS or VEGANS ☹️ All dishes are cooked with fish sauce! A pity!! Other Thai restaurants manage to cook vegan food. Would be practical for driving to and picking up. Unfortunately, after just a few minutes in the restaurant you smell as if you were busy in the kitchen yourself.

Very, very fine. They are regular guests and eat there once a month. The portions are huge. The only complaint: heating the food in the microwave and ventilation. That's why we usually take it with us. Recommendation: green curry or lamb.

Have very tasty dishes. I recommend red and green curry with chicken here. At lunchtime you have to expect longer waiting times. The only thing I find really unpleasant is the exhaust air. When you eat in a restaurant, you smell very strongly of the food there. There were even moments when I knew where my colleague was eating just by smelling him. It's really harsh on the clothes. I hope something is done there in the future as I'm thinking twice about whether I really want to eat in there or not. That's why I prefer take away.

The food is good, but the selection is very poor. Every time something is missing. Either there are no rice noodles or there are no egg noodles. Has already happened several times.

Best take-away in the area. Food is always very tasty & cheap. The ventilation on site is not that strong and you look like a restaurant - that could be better.

Terrible attendance. I didn't know how the restaurant worked and the waitress didn't make any effort to explain, she just literally threw the food on the plate without bothering to explain. Most expensive rice and chicken I've ever eaten, there should probably be gold hidden in the middle of the food. Furthermore, when I went to pay, the lady swiped my card twice. Luckily I realized.

One of the most frustrating experiences of our trip to Switzerland. Unfortunately, the attendant spoke very quickly and didn't understand practically anything in English, we asked how it worked and she said in a few words that it was to choose the meat, and as soon as I chose the chicken she arrived with a huge plate of rice, and I didn't even have it. order (detail I don't eat rice). So she handed the plate like this with rice and chicken to my husband who was speechless and I sadly decided to gesture to her asking for pasta then in the second dish since I didn't eat rice, and then he put salad on top of everything and again I I hadn't ordered, I left frustrated and she came to the table with the dish anyway and handed it to me. We stayed there for a while in shock, not knowing what to do, looking at the dishes, dissatisfied with what we didn't want. Outraged, I picked up my phone and tried to translate what had happened into German, but the attendant didn't understand either. We were at an impasse and he tried to speak English in a few words and offer another side of chicken. We ate it there, because we couldn't get rid of the plate anymore. And as if the nightmare wasn't over, the food cost 26 euros, which in real costs a fortune. That wasn't enough, the woman also swiped the bill on our card twice, claiming the payment hadn't gone through. Finally, my husband noticed the double payment immediately and returned it in cash in the local currency in Swiss francs.

Food was quite expensive and is heated in the microwave. Exhaust air is a catastrophe after 10 minutes you smell like the kitchen for 3 days. Food itself had a moderate taste. But it doesn't work like that every now and then.

This is one of my favourite places to get curries and other asian dishes. I usually just go for take away as it's a small place and very busy over lunch and not so relaxing. The food is extraordinary tasty and at a very competitive price. The team is very friendly. Thumbs up. 👍

Best Asian food in the Lucerne area. Price/performance ratio unbeatable. Lots of choice and always friendly staff. I always come when I'm in the Horw area. A little tip from me, when the weather is nice it would be great if you could sit outside and eat. There used to be tables and chairs outside.

The food here is a great price, a convenient location, and you can dine in or take out. One of the best meals I've had in a long time! You definitely have to try the food in the Mekong!

This place offers a lot of choices and quick! You can choose the very spicy dish usually minced chicken and also non spicy dishes! There are also parking available right in front of the store. Very easy to park when it’s not too busy! Perfect for casual weekday night!

Since everyone is raving about this restaurant, I thought, Thai food for lunch today, YES👍🤘. I wasn't disappointed. There was a huge queue of hungry workers in front of the entrance (good sign🤗). When it was my turn I was slightly overwhelmed. A fairly large selection of food. If you wanted, you could mix this with that, etc. When I decided, the lady didn't stop scooping. That was a huge portion. I think I paid CHF 13 for pasta with vegetables and a drink. Craziness!!!!!! So food: TOP! Price: TOP! Selection: TOP! I can only recommend it. But important: Over lunch, plan more time!!!
