Everything fantastic!! Breakfast included in the price, plentiful international. It is located in an ideal position (near the woods) for very long walks. It deserves all 5🌟❤🇨🇭

Perfect for families with children. The beautiful (and secured) playground right in front of the house invites you to play and run around. The restaurant also has books and toys. The food is very tasty and there is also a good selection for children. The rooms are beautifully furnished and offer enough space for a family with 2-3 children. (We were 3 adults and 2 children and still had a very comfortable space) The location is great! From the room we had a wonderful view of Lake Lucerne and the mountains. The only negative point is the shared bathroom. But here too there is nothing else to complain about. It is nicely decorated and clean. The service was courteous and also responded to special requests. All in all, we had a very nice time and the children also felt very comfortable. We'd love to come back!

This was a superb experience. I hiked to the hotel and was well received. I just wanted to leave my backpack at the reception, but in the end I was allowed an early check in, which was great. The facilities are simple but clean, the view is breathtaking. They had an extra attention with the fact I'm vegetarian, I felt really welcome. I will definitely come back, wish I had stayed longer.

Hello my dear readers 🤗 went on a little trip with the Beetle convertible today 😊 the Schwendelberg was ideal 👍 great drive through the forest and when you get to the top there is a really beautiful view 👍 simply fantastic 👍 the restaurant is beautiful and the terrace invites you to linger 👍 it has a nice playground and clean toilets ☀️ the service was OK. the prices for drinks and food are very high. A nice little evening excursion.👍

Restaurant Schwendelberg and stay inn, Never stay here, bad service & amenities. Locations is too far, not friendly staff/workers, cheap labours, not educated with good ethics. Breakfast is poor & bad quality. My rating is zero but i have no option but to choose 1 star. Waste of time & money. You can’t even locate this place properly using UBER, twice the driver got it wrong. Their customer service number on their website & google information will never work, you can’t call them. Its a kind of a scam place to stay & creepy. My honest review. Avoid this place at all cost. Tq. See the type of comments form the property owner below, so uneducated & typically racist, which i can only feel pity for people who goes there. For your info mr.well trained, i have visited many countries not only Switzerland, i know what basic manners are, maybe be u have not traveled, always living in the forest, which u lack behavioural knowledge. Kindly take some holiday. Visit some countries if you can to learn & educate you & your staff. Poor fella.

Very expensive for what it is. It is a very average bar-restaurant, nothing special. The only thing it has are beautiful views like so many places in Switzerland.

We do not recommend anyone to consume there. We give 1 star for the delicious cake and 1 star for the view. If you get the boss himself to serve you, then goodnight! We consumed coffee/cake/beer on Sunday afternoon and he let us know when we ordered that it wasn't that much. When it came time to pay, we took out a normal credit card. We could also pay in cash, he said. Unfortunately we didn't have anything else with us and yet he didn't let up. He would only accept credit cards from CHF 50 (which is not written anywhere, only on the entrance door “We also like to take cash...”) and we would just support the banking system. He was very arrogant and made us feel like frauds when we simply wanted to pay for our consumption. There was no bill, he just said the amount. At home we looked and noticed that he had charged for cream without us ordering it! That's not possible - we will advise all our friends not to go there.

Very bad experience with this Hotel! Firstly I couldn't locate the Hotel nor could the Taxi driver. Their website states customer service round the clock but they never answered my calls. Finally I ended up booking another Hotel in addition to the Taxi, plus my half a day of my holiday already gone. I still keep trying to call this Hotel to see if I can get any refund, but absolutely no response at all. Please BEWARE and DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.

This is a fantastic place to stay and to dine We had stayed one night and everything was perfect. Big and spacious room with a small balcony with view of Pilatus. Bathroom was shared with two more rooms, but we never see other people around. Dinner was amazing. Breakfast was simple with fresh baled croissant. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We walked along the cycling path and it is possible to continue towards Pilatus (based on signs). I would definitely recommend this lovely place.

We were there with our camper bus. We had a spectacular view from our “parking spot”. We were warmly welcomed. The dinner was very tasty and the whole team was extremely attentive and accommodating. Since I was looking for accommodation near Lucerne for just one night, I quickly came across the Gasthaus Schwendelberg. Price-performance ratio is definitely right here if you can live with a shared bathroom. For me it was ideal. The location is simply fantastic! The breakfast was very tasty and included in the price. In the evening you can also have a really tasty meal. It's a shame I was only there one night. Highly recommended!
