Very warm welcome, the tacos are excellent 👌🏾.

There were few staff, so we had to wait a long time (for table placement but also for ordering, etc.). The furnishings and design were actually cool and harmonious. It's more of a bar kitchen than a real kitchen. The sauces and limes etc. that accompany the meal are already there on all the tables and do not seem fresh and a bit stale. The taste of the food was actually quite ok.

Very good quesadillas and very good tacos, a small downside for the presentation I would say. Dessert not very good unfortunately the coconut flan was very compact. Nice atmosphere with Mexican music and pretty decoration which I loved. And special mention to the passion mojito, the best I've ever drunk! He was incredible!

The only thing good here will be the decor and the atmosphere, a trompe l'oeil, don't expect a Mexican restaurant, if you have had the opportunity to do it elsewhere or in another country, with the corresponding dishes. Come only for an appetizer, 10cm tacos with a few scattered toppings, without extravagance, without extraordinary taste. If you are very hungry, I advise against it, your wallet will be affected. Here we are more in the spirit of taco platters, small portions, quick preparation in the corner of the bar. But the price is still there, it is clearly not worth an expenditure of 50.- on average per person. You will leave this place generally disappointed in relation to what you have eaten / spent, you will be left hungry, it's guaranteed, no pleasure! We stayed for a maximum of 1 hour, lost 100.-, to finally go and eat in another restaurant, the Flon District really has other good places, make the right choice. The real comments will now pour in! The rating of 4.7 does not make sense here, some opinions remain to be confirmed, or some people are satisfied with little, this remains personal. The atmosphere is good, the staff is kind. And the service quite good. Regarding the food I am very sorry but anyone who knows mexican food is below average at this restaurant...the prices and quality do not match the prices. Small tortillas with a little meat and a little topping...not recommended if you are very hungry. It's for aperitifs only. The bill we paid is for the two plates with the 3 small tortillas (see photo) and an additional plate of stuffed cheese tortillas...plus a cocktail and a beer. There is no way I will come to this store again.

Always a great experience, the staff are amazing and the food too. We called last minute and they accommodated us even though the system said there were no more reservations available. The food is authentic and served really fast and the staff speak Spanish. 10/10 would recommend.

Really disappointed with the dishes, expensive for the quantity, served one after the other instead of all together, and I would serve this just for an aperitif before a main course, came out hungry, tacos, 2 pieces tortilla and finished , I'm not saying it's bad, just that it's not to nourish, just for the aperitif, portion too small for the price

I recently had dinner at the Mexican grill restaurant at Flon, in the heart of Lausanne, and I was satisfied with my overall experience. The dishes were good, but I think they could add a little more spice to some dishes. However, I appreciated the variety of the menu which is suitable for both vegetarians and people with gluten intolerance. Additionally, Tuesdays offer a good opportunity to take advantage of discounted taxi fares, and Wednesdays are hosted by a mariachi. The atmosphere was warm and the waitresses were pleasant and friendly. I highly recommend this place for a pleasant evening with friends or family.

I had such a great time the first time that I went back. The cuisine is excellent, the flavors are explosive, there is something for everyone. I really like the possibility of composing your plate by ticking off your desires. I just took 1 star off the service because it was a little tense and not very cheerful.

The place and the atmosphere are great! On the other hand, I don't recommend taking several small dishes when you are a large group because we couldn't find any more, some had too much, others not enough and it is true that the dishes lacked sauce, it was a bit dry... We had an EXCELLENT evening - a big THANK YOU to the Bowling Land and Mexicana Grill team, particularly to Mr. Torres, who prepared a magnificent Taco menu for us to share. It was delicious and I received only positive feedback from those present.

So sincerely, completely disappointed... and despite all the opinions on the site I still wanted to make my own opinion... and sincerely... the positive opinions I doubt that they come from real customers and not rather those from acquaintances of the establishment.🙄🙄🙄 Because the only positive point was perhaps the decor.. But level of service... it's 2 out of 10... When you arrive there is no explanation regarding taking your order... and so you end up with starters and main course at the same time.... And all this before the drinks and therefore the fact that the hot dishes come out before the drinks I doubt the freshness of the dishes as mentioned on the site and that of the “customer” reviews. Cuisine speaks of authenticity but nothing to do with Mexican cuisine. It's bland, no flavor.. the pancakes are supposed to be made from corn.. but it doesn't look like it at all... so for those who are gluten intolerant,,,, be careful... check the photos And regarding the service, don't forget to check your bill and what is marked on the menu.. ... because during the evening.. we had a lot of fun among ourselves... and not thanks to the establishment... we ordered some tequila shooter… and on the menu the price was for 4cl but we only received 2 cl… And following that.. we also noticed that the price of the tequila that we ordered was not the same.. because they charged us another one more expensive😡😡😡 And following the complaint... 1st response: oh we're sorry because we no longer have the one you ordered... lol... and so that means you don't have the goods, are you forcing me to take the most expensive one?? Without my consent??? LOL Following that the “manager” lol arrived and told us: oh I’m sorry for the error on the menu.. and that I myself would have liked to drink the 2 cl that remained!!????? lol that doesn’t mean anything… so you see the level of management of the establishment… And finally during the bill... on the receipt they charged us for 12 shots and let's say they "offered" us 6 shots.. and in reality we consumed 12 shots.. And so when he gives you free items, check even though they haven't put them a little higher in the invoice... Overall we had a very, very bad evening... and it's a shame because the concept was great... and when a restaurant is half empty on a Saturday evening in the city center that means everything... regardless we leave with an empty stomach for a bill of 297,30 francs so is this normal?????? … And for those who have money and time to waste don't hesitate to make your own experience... and those who want to have a great evening with friends or family go your way... go to MC donal at least you will get what you pay for.. Having known the Mexicana concept for several years already, we discovered Mexicana Grill and we were delighted! The atmosphere was great, the service was also great: we were able to order the tacos two by two and never waited too long between each order. I highly recommend, we will definitely come back! * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * We've been back several times since our first visit and while the food is still good, I recommend ordering two tacos per person at a time as it can take quite a while to get an order. We have also noted a lot of small changes since August (implemented over several months, so every other time something had changed), e.g.: you can no longer add your onions/cilantro, the entrecôte taco can only be ordered in threes, additional sauces must be paid extra (even if not indicated on the menu…) as well as pico de gallo. It remains a good place where you eat well, but the successive changes and price increases which are not very transparent spoil the party a little.

A great experience with delightful and excellent taste discoveries! House specialty tacos (red tuna, cod (you had to dare!) and shredded beef simmered with spices 🤤). A guacamole very precisely dosed with coriander 🎉 The setting is magnificent, the atmosphere cozy and the staff takes great care. All with a pleasant surprise at the time of the bill which turned out to be very reasonable (5 people at 52.50/person with aperitif and wine included)! We will come back, for sure 😃 Viva Mexico 😃

As a Mexican you have a pleasant experience visiting this restaurant, you can experience the atmosphere and hospitality like at home being away from it. The tres leches cake is a delight so you should not miss trying it.

You will not be disappointed; the tacos, corn tortillas are really excellent! I find the Barbacoa de Res (pulled beef, juicy and delicious), the Pollo Assado, and the Aguacate con Cipolte especially good! The non-alcoholic Tamarindo drink is very good! The noise is sometimes a little too muffled, depending on our desire to celebrate or chat, but the service is great and the staff are very friendly! I often come here for the taste pleasure!

Went tonight looking for an alternative to Swiss food during our trip. Loved it! We had margaritas and tacos. Also guac. All tasty and fresh. We tried the shrimp, chicken, cochinita pibil, tbone, and fish. All great, our favorite was chicken, which was a surprise. For me, the close second was shrimp. Service was excellent too. I would go back in a heartbeat! For your reference on our taste buds, we Puerto Rican living in the States. 100% recommended.

Everything was very good, but we had to call the waiter twice for the dish of one of the guests who did not arrive, it was served even though we had almost finished our dishes. Sound level of music a little high for a restaurant.

Of all the Mexican places abroad, Mexicana is the one where I have felt most welcome, the food is spectacular, the cocktails exceeded my expectations being innovative and original, Kimy as a leader is constantly attentive to service. Definitely an experience that I recommend and I will repeat.

Damage. We came shortly after the opening of the Mexican Grill and were pleasantly surprised by the good atmosphere and the good typical Mexican dishes. I came back recently and it wasn't the same thing at all... The servers are demoralized, the tacos are bland and dry. Cochinita pibil has almost no achiote, very dry and bland. The same for the others. The price is a little high for the quality and for the "context" (next to the noisy bowling alleys. In the end, the quality at Mexicana fast food on Central Street is much better than in their restaurant. A little surprising.

Good tasty Mexican food and drinks, staff is very friendly. The set back is that they cannot cope when it is busy leaving you waiting a long time for your food and drinks, also the atmosphere take a hit with the constant sound of bowling pins faking over. However, the food is very good and does make up for some of these setbacks.

Great place, great decor, delicious food, impeccable service. Thanks to the whole team! Small downside, music a little too loud. We find it difficult to discuss without having to raise our voices.

The place has a good Mexican vibe, the waiters were friendly and gave good recommendations about the food. Regarding the taste of the food I could recommend the cochinita tacos and the shrimp quesadillas. On the other hand I could say that the tuna tostadas were the worst I’ve tasted, so I wouldn’t recommend them at all (the looks were good but the taste disappointing).

I tried the experiment for the first time a few months ago and a second time a few days ago and unfortunately many things do not suit me at all and have not changed between the 2 visits. Orders are taken via a QR code but there is no internet connection in this basement, so you have to connect to Wi-Fi. It doesn't always work and it's annoying. Then when there are a lot of you, the food arrives all together and it's impossible to know who took what if you don't write it down somewhere! This is really the most negative point, both times we ended up with extra tacos. The food is not exceptional but above all it is extremely expensive! 6 CHF for a piece of dough with 4 pieces of chicken (Without seasoning since it's up to you to do it on the side), it's incomprehensible. In short, if you have the opportunity to test the brand, I strongly advise you to go to the one on rue Centrale which is 100x better and which also makes excellent burritos!

Nice little restaurant attached to the bowling place. We visited during the week so not much of noise as mentioned by others. Portions were little bit smaller as compared to other places/price. You have to choose quantity of per dish per stuck like in Ikea/menge. Bit difficult to make out upfront as to how many portions you will need. Service was good and the staff was friendly. Thanks!

Too bad, it's so good but it doesn't work... already I think that explaining that you have to order the sauces in addition would be a good start otherwise you end up with nothing in your tacos... Then the waitresses are not efficient, we waited 30 minutes before being allowed to receive a card to recommend a second time... and on both orders twice products were missing, including two on the second order... finally we were bring an extra quesadilla to apologize instead of offering a commercial gesture... it's a real shame that the service is not up to the quality of the catering, a disappointment!!! Gladly if you want to show me that you can do better than that I will give you some advice to improve table service and simplify the life of your servers… ABE

Good amount of options, including vegetarian ones. Very good cocktails. Good atmosphere. A smiling & efficient service. We loved the nachos, fresh seasoning herbs & sauces already displayed on the tables when we arrive. The only thing we missed was the cheese to add to the tacos. Ingredients are fresh.

So the cuisine is too based on cheese.. On the other hand, the system is just catastrophic. We had a table of 9 people, we didn't know who the dishes belonged to, and the prices were excessive... I paid 8.50.- for a beer and I got a total of 45.- and I didn't We ate really well and I was still hungry... last time despite the boss offering us 30% for next time (who won't). Fortunately the waitresses were smiling and super nice.

The worst Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. Food without Mexican flavor, they didn't have Jalapeños, a red wine on the menu and they didn't know where, total absence of attention from the staff, 30 minutes for them to bring a simple drink (coca cola) the only good thing about the Singer.
