Mikado in Genève

Fresh and well-prepared Japanese food, just a few standard cuts, but the flavor is good. There are ready-made portions of hot dishes too (breaded shrimp, croquettes and others). We got two bentos (about 10-15 CHF each), sake and coke and ate at the place, there are several tables. There is also free water in glasses to serve at the table.

Very good quality … would have been a 5 stars if I didn’t have to buy the wasabi, ginger and soy sauce … not offered for free (a tiny little amount for soy comes with your dish but no wasabi or ginger )

Rice is of poor quality and undercooked. They forgot to add the wasabi I included in my home delivery order. How to eat sushi without wasabi?! I would strongly recommend chosing a different place.

Having visited this establishment many times, it has always been excellent. Today we visited on the first day of opening. Unfortunately we had to wait for the chicken and when it arrived it was raw inside. So please take these comments in context.

Nothing special to say. Normal Mikado. Just don't come too late otherwise the choice is very limited. Nor too early anyway

The horsene salad had not been seasoned. I ordered sushi there and it came apart. Too bad the quality has dropped enormously. Nothing to do with the beginnings of the Mikado store in Paquis.

Japanese food, it is good for Geneva. Reasonable price. But normal for people who has been in Japan.

Quaint Japanese restaurant that functions like a fast food food court type of eatery. Pre-made food items are on display and you choose what you want, take it to the cashier to pay and either take out or sit to enjoy. Various types of food including sushi, sashimi, wakame with other appetizers, and cooked options. Sashimi was fresh and facilities clean and well maintained.

Salmon was fresh and tasty! Good quality sushi and sashimi , with good price. They have some salad and small warm food as well.

Very calm, clean and friendly place. Located just right across Manor beside the pharmacy. I love their warm Salmon with Teriyaki sauce.. Its the best!

So much PLASTIC! It is incredible that in 2019 we still have such a lack of environmental consciousness. Every food item is sold in plastic containers either for take away or consuming in the restaurant (!). The restaurant could keep its convenient model by replacing the plastic containers with reusable and changing to plastic only for takeaway. Or at least have some special bins to recycle the containers!

I dont put 5 stars but only 4 because of too much plastic used and wasted for serving my lunch. Meal is delicious but they way you serve it should be reconsidered (at least for walk-in clients).

In fact, there are some takeout sushi restaurants, but there are larger places where you can dine in. The environment is pretty good. The appearance, color and combination of the sushi are great. The price is definitely economical in terms of Geneva, Switzerland. There is nothing wrong with the rice (not too hard or too scattered), but the overall taste can only be said to be OK. . 🔸 The Chinese salad has a slightly sour taste.

Nice, although you don't get the most refined Japanese gastronomy experience in the city. The cooks are not Japanese... and the dishes are not very sophisticated. On the other hand, everything is very fresh there.

Sooo much plastic and there isn't soy sauce on the tables. There has to be soy sauce on the tables and waiters serving green tea. Much better to go to Vancouver for sushi.

Good food but order wasn't ready at expected time

Excellent food, good value for money, friendly staff. BUT: The amount of plastic in which the food is served is outrageous! Even dine-in guests have no choice but to leave mountains of trash. Even soy sauce and wasabi come in single doses. A real shame with regards to today's environmental awareness!

An establishment without soul but fulfilling the function of feeding you correctly.

Very friendly place with good quality Japanese food at the center of Geneva. I was at the not lunch time, alone with my 4 month baby. The staff was very friendly and helpful, so I could not only eat by myself but also nurse my baby!
