Small Restaurant with decent food. The position of the restaurant is good, but not the parking lots - there are only a few around. We had to park 5 blocks next to the restaurant. The food was very delicious! The Staff was kind but one of the waitresses did not understand me, because she is not the best in talking german. The overall ambiente was appropriate.

A pub for a village feeling. The Cordon Bleu was legendary (in size as well as in taste). You will be served charmingly and elegantly at the same time ;) The whole thing is an insider tip in Lucerne. But due to its popularity and size, a reservation is always recommended.

The moment we walked in, there was such a cozy atmosphere present. The staff is kind and friendly and the food.. THE FOOD is absolutely incredible. I wholeheartedly recommend this place. ^_^

The schnitzel tastes great... Maybe it's a local restaurant, but it fills up quickly. Maybe I had low expectations because it was Swiss food, but it was so delicious!! It tastes like thinly pounded chidon.

Great place to eat. CASH ONLY! You might need to make reservations, very popular with locals. I had the fried fish, and my wife had the cordon blueu. Both were great. I had a salad with my fish, my wife had fries. I would say her cordon blueu looked like a schnitzel, but with chicken, ham and cheese. I would recommend!

Combined dishes restaurant. They have the option to make a menu for about 18-20 euros, which includes a first cream and the combination dish (which includes salad, rice and a meat/fish/vegetarian option) stew. It is a very good alternative to downtown restaurants, as the price is more affordable than nearby restaurants. The food is very good and the attention of the staff as well.

Gemütliches, einfaches Lokal mit Aussenbereich an Durchgangsstrasse, daher weniger gemütlich.Die Speisen sind von gute Qualität. Recht einfach, wie selbstgestrickt gekocht, was eigentlich auch gut ist. Der Preis ist aber für den Level der dort geboten wird zu hoch.Im Neustadt treffen sich die politisch Linken und sehr Linken. Es gilt auszupassen mit wem man diskutiert. Bürgerliche oder gar rechte Meinungen werden nicht toleriert. Ist aber nichts Neues in der linken Liga. Also besser schweigen Essen als sich anschnauzen lassen wenn man eine eigene Meinung hat.

After a strenuous hike in Grindelwald, we drove to our next destination, Lucerne. Since we were really hungry, we went out for a hearty meal. The Cordon Bleu is filled with a very tasty cheese and the side dish, half fries, half vegetables, rounded it off. The service is very friendly. We were really full and delicious!

A must try..cordonbleu swiss version, enjoyed every bite of it. We stayed at a nearby hotel and its worth the walk even if it was raining that time. 😉

Good mix between rustic and modern. A pub with tradition, which is reflected in its charm, but without appearing somehow dusty. The food is simply world class, but without seeming too classy. You get enough. It has a source.

Fine cordon bleu's and minced meat patties

Derb und rustikal aber auch das macht ja Spass. Eine urige Gaststätte mit charaktervollem Wirt und Personal. Zuerst hat es eine Weile gedauert aber nachher waren sie auf Zack.Wir hatten das Cordon Bleu, welches lecker in Butter gebraten war mit einem Berg Pommes Frites. Durchaus gut gemacht und lecker. Die anderen Gerichte ähnlich vom Aufwand und Ausführung.Für ein ordentliches Essen und ein paar Bier eine gute Alternative zu den teuren und oft chicen Restaurants im Zentrum.

What can I say? I had 2 dinners there in 3 nights stay in Luzern.This place serve a really good Cordon-Bleu with a really crispy and flavourfull fries.Price are reasonable and the servant are very nice and polite.

The food is delicious and they prepare one of the best Cordon Bleu's in the city. The map is small, but it's more than enough. The prices are comparatively low. The decor is simple but beautiful and also offers outdoor seating on a lively street. I've been there several times and the service is the biggest weak point. On the one hand it is familiar (sometimes friendly), but on the other hand the staff is sometimes unfriendly, very stressed and even reacts irritably when you order something (this happened several times). Then you don't really feel comfortable. Sometimes you wait a long time before you can order. Additionally, you cannot pay by card either.

If I could give 10 stars. We ordered The famous cordon bleu. Very Crispy on the outside, the cheese and ham is soft and perfect combi with the crispy outside. Sides can be chosen between fries, half fries&salad (i suggest go with the half). The service was excellent, the staffs were super friendly. So good that We came there twice in a row. Wish to come again on our next visit to Lucerne 👌👌👌

El restaurante en sí era bastante básico, pero ¡guau, fue la comida siempre buena!Estaba muy ocupado con los lugareños, lo que es una buena señal.Hay un menú a la carta, pero también había 4 opciones especiales diarias para la cena, todas incluidas una sopa y un plato principal con guarniciones. Los especiales diarios no estaban en inglés, pero el personal fue servicial con las traducciones.La sopa de calabaza estaba muy deliciosa. Todo era fresco y sabía como una buena comida casera. No es lujoso, pero sin duda lo recomendaría si está buscando una buena comida, especialmente en una zona donde los precios de los restaurantes suelen ser bastante altos. (Tome nota - no hay tarjetas de crédito).

Mi esposa y yo estábamos buscando comida cerca de nuestro ser y estar. Era un restaurante Neustadt 30 segundos, cada uno de nosotros tenía una pizza, sabroso con corteza delgada, tanto que terminamos, pero podría haber dividido uno como estaba en el medio. La atmósfera era informal, la gente parecía simpático y lleno de locales. El atento, ocupados, una camarera simpática que hablaba inglés y estaba dispuesto a charlar un poco señaló varios eran turistas. Un menú inglés estaba disponible y tenía varias opciones, la especialidad de acuerdo a nuestro ser y ser anfitrión americano (que visitas) era Cordon Bleu. Sólo una advertencia, vienen armados con dinero en efectivo porque no aceptan tarjetas de crédito. Mi culpa. Nos ofrecieron para ayudar a lavar los platos lavar la ropa. En el sistema de honor, la camarera nos dio un mapa para el cajero automático más próximo, volvimos y pagado. Nos volveríamos de nuevo a la comida, cervezas frías y sabor local.

Es ist eine sehr einfache Beiz an einem jedoch sehr gut erreichbaren Ort Mitten in der Neustadt Luzern. Das Essen ist gut und relativ preiswert. Der Service könnte etwas freundlicher sein. Man merkt, dass das Lokal vor Allem von seinen Stammgästen lebt, was auch völlig ok ist. Im Grossen und Ganzen waren wir zufrieden.

Die Bedienung scheint es nicht nötig zu haben, im Gastraum mal etwas aufmerksam zu schauen, wer gerne noch etwas bestellen möchte. Das Essen war eher schlecht als recht, auch wenn es für schweizer Verhältnisse günstig ist. Das Cordonbleu (leider vom Schwein) war ok, aber nicht mehr (dafür, dass es einen guten Ruf hat...). Der Fisch war ehrlich gesagt beinahe ungeniessbar und sehr fad und die Beilage (Rote Beete) war auch nicht gut. Und Pizze sollte man auch lieber eines der zahlreichen italienischen Restaurants machen lassen... Nur für Leute, die mehr aufs Geld, als den Geschmak schauen (wobei, dann würde ich lieber zuhause essen...)...

Das Restaurant Neustadt ist immer wieder gut. Ein Lokal dass vorallem von Einheimischen besucht wird. Man weiss was man erwarten kann und geniesst die unkomplizierte und offene Art. Das Restaurant ist oft ausgebucht, es lohnt sich also, frühzeitig zu reservieren.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung, neben gutbürgerlicher Küche eine riesen Liste von feinen Pizzas. Einfach und authentisch eingerichtet, lokales Publikum. Hier fühlst Du Dich sofort wohl.

It is hard to find cheap, authentic and delicious food when travelling if you don’t have friends living locally. Neustadt is the place to go if you are in Lucerne, Switzerland. Everything is so expensive in Switzerland which is hard if you are like me who like to try local food. There is no English menu which is not helpful if you don’t know German but the owner was nice and explained us what is in the menu. We ordered pork chop and salmon from the set menu which comes with pumpkin soup and the pumpkin flavour was so rich that it was probably the best soup I have ever had. Pork chop was not bad but for me it was nothing special. The salmon was cooked with some kind of herbs which taste slightly different from the cooked salmon that I usually have elsewhere. It was really good but personally would still prefer salmon without any herbs.

We loved eating here! Our waitress was absolutely wonderful and helped us translate the menu and offered great suggestions. I had the Cordon Blue which was warm and delicious and my husband had a seasonal dish with venison which was lovely. We would definitely come here again!

Mehrere Specials täglich plus Menü mit Pizza. Wirkt wie ein lokales Publikum. Nicht viel Englisch, aber gut genug für Erklärung Sonderangebote. Haben auch 2 von den Specials Rind und Lamm. Kam mit ausgezeichnet Suppe. Beide waren frisch zubereitet und lecker. Der Service war schnell und freundlich. akzeptiert Euro in Zahlung. Wir würden wiederkommen, wenn in Luzern länger.

Die täglichen Menus, die Pizzen, das beliebte Cordon-Bleu,aber auch die feinen, vom Chef kreierten Samstags-Menus ziehen Jung und Alt in dieses Lokal. the proprietor at my B&B recommended this place (and he appeared at the bar later in the evening). the place was absolutely packed with locals when I arrived but they found room for me at a table with two other people who were very amenable. Lack of English limited conversation a bit but the atmosphere was friendly and the service was attentive. Superb value for money - large menu on offer and lots of specials. Diner speciality was Chicken Cordon Bleu, which was very good and very generous. Also made some friends at the bar; people just struck up a conversation. would highly recommend for the local experience and because they definitely take pride in their food.

Sehr originelles Lokal mit einem sehr guten Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Neben den täglichen Menus kriegt man hier auch sehr gute (gut bürgerliche) Menus. Das Ambiente ist einfach, originell (früher einmal Quartierbeiz) heute praktisch in unveränderter Form, jedoch sehr gute Küche, sehr freundlicher und speditiver Service. Auch dann, wenn das Lokal voll ausgebucht ist. Und das ist nicht selten, daher empfiehlt sich eine vorgängige Reservation.Weitherum bekannt ist das sehr gute Cordonbleu. Es ist jeweils eine sehr grosse Portion.

Da ich bei TripAdvisor las - dass es hier gute Cordon Bleus geben sollte - habe ich diese Gelegenheit wahrgenommen um mit einem Geschäftspartner ein ungezwungenes Abendessen einzunehmen. Pommes frites, Salate, und Cordon Bleu waren geschmacklich als einzelnes Produkt in Ordnung. Aber ein wirklich feines Cordon Bleu hat eine gewisse Form, das Fleisch eine gewisse Dicke und besteht nicht nur aus zwei panierten Plätzchen - und in der Mitte etwas Käse - der nicht mal gleichmässig verteilt ist. Auch die Kruste sollte nicht einmal hart und einmal OK sein - ist aber natürlich die Folge auslaufender Dicke am Rande des Cordon Bleus. Ebenfalls ist es schade den Salat auf dem gleichen Teller zu erhalten. Genauso wenige passte der Nudelsalat zu Pommes Frites und Cordon Bleu. Deswegen - trotz lockerer, alternativer Atmosphäre - in welcher ich mich zwischendurch durchaus wohl fühle - aus dieser einen Erfahrung heraus - kann ich es leider nicht empfehlen.

Sehr lecker, frisch zubereiteten Gerichten. Gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis im Vergleich zu dem Schweizer Standard: Suppe und eine große Hauptgericht für CHF 18,50 . Wir sind hier für einen weiteren Monat und werden wieder kommen oft.

OMG, it was really good. My wife and Dauthter both enjoyed theirs, and I don't recall any pizza leftovers either. The Food is cooked upstairs and is delivered to the dining room by dumbwaiter. Unique. The English isn't great, but it was good enough to get translations on most of the menu items. I would recommend going out of your way for this place its only a few blocks from the train station, and by all means try the menu of the day, or the Cordon bleu. We came back another night and ordered more pizza's late, for carry-out. Very tasty Italian style pizza. You can tell the owner/family takes pride in the food.

Eigentlich wäre die Aufmachung ja ansprechend, der Sound nicht auf Mainstream gedrillt, die Menüs unkompliziert und schmackhaft, wenn da nur nicht der launische Chef wäre, der unsere Gruppe, die sich für einen Jassabend mit ausreichend Konsumation angemeldet hatte, nicht mit einer Begeisterung empfangen hätte, die mich umgehend in eine schwere Depression zu stürzen drohte. Bei der Koordination der Essensausgabe gab es dann eine Überforderung und als wir trotz besagter Minuspunkte auch dieses Jahr wieder einen solchen Abend durchführen wollten, gab es eine Absage ohne ein einziges "tut mir leid". Ab sofort wieder in den Unterlachenhof zum Jassen!

What a great city, especially the promenad and the old part of the town.What a fantastic city. I highly recommend to just stroll around and enjoy all the architectural masterpieces and historical paintings.
