Syrtaki in Luzern

Place is criminally underrated. I've been there many times now, and I never see more than a table or two full. Service is great, fluency in many languages to accommodate you. It's incredible, definitely try this place out.

Very small portions, no bread or anything, food was ok, but nothing more

I've been coming here for years and am always impressed. The restaurant is cozy and inviting. The service is friendly and attentive, and the portions are generous. The restaurant offers a diverse selection of Greek specialties. I especially recommend the moussaka. Everything is freshly prepared and tastes authentic.

Good Greek restaurant. The price-performance ratio is very good, especially at lunchtime. The landlord serves himself. Sometimes with more enthusiasm, sometimes with a little less. The ambience could be a little more loving. There is also no nice outside space. This means that the Greek feeling comes more when you eat than when you sit down.

Please read before coming. Very cold attitude and rude. We are English speakers. Four people in a table, we ordered four portions of food. But waiter came to us and question with the issue saying we ordered one. So funny. If you want to feel ridiculous service it’s a good choice. Btw, we are not speaking Madarin. You should be educated :-)

Pleasant discovery a few years ago. Homemade cooking by a Greek giagiá a few steps from the CFF station. Perfect for changing your cooking style when you return from Ticino or Italy with the Giruno or Astoro.

Food ok. The service at the end was incredibly unfriendly just because everyone wanted to pay separately (and perhaps we didn't order enough?). The restaurant was empty except for two guests. As a Lucerne resident, I am ashamed that something like this exists in my homeland.

Ate delicious tzatziki, gyros and baklava. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and there is a family atmosphere. We'd love to come back.

What unfriendly service - never again!

The restaurant is well located, clean, tastefully decorated, fair prices and the food was very good. The only reason why we won't come back is the landlord. The music constantly turning on and off was irritating. The waiting times for service were a bit too long for us as the only guests. The host's frustrated and aggressive mood didn't make us feel welcome. But he crossed the border after he intimidated a group of American guests when he greeted them and made them wait until they left. He then came to our table to gossip wildly about the group. After a clear reprimand, he apologized. He only respects "guests" who tell him their opinion bluntly and directly. But that's not why I eat out.

Delicious authentic Greek food served here. Not crowded and it should be for the quality of food served.

Friendly staff, taste okay, but still disappointing. Bifteki without feta filling (was more like a simple meatball/bulette) not from the grill, gyros not from the skewer (was more like shredded pork from the pan). A pity. I was looking forward to Greek food again after such a long time.

When I am in Luzern I make sure to come here. The Moussaka is great as is the Haulomi cheese. I had both as appetizers as together made a great meal. They have the Moussaka as an entre as well. The mixed appetizer was great on my second visit and now want the calamari as my meal next time.

Great restaurant and the food was very good. Very friendly service. Real Greek restaurant in Lucerne. Had very fine gyros with ouzo. Greek. Kafi was like in Athens the week before last. Real Greek food. For dessert I had Greek yogurt with honey and nuts. Extra order requests were even fulfilled. Definitely coming back. Thanks to the restaurant.

Hellas, good Greek food and, if it fits, a glass of Rezina or another fine wine. Rita and Stelios with their warm hospitality give the touch of carefree existence, and if you are lucky you will hear one or two anecdotes that will make you smile. Just a piece of Hellas - unique in Lucerne.

SECRET TIP!! Mrs. and Mr. Glaroudis are very good and warm hosts. Whether it's a business lunch or dinner with the family - we feel warmly welcome at any time. The prices are fair and the menus are a delight.

We wanted to come for dinner yesterday (Thursday) evening around 8 p.m. and found ourselves in front of the closed doors...what a shame

Last Saturday we ordered a mixed plate together with various specialties for dipping. The large portion of the mezze plate was served to us with 5 small pita triangles, for which we had to pay extra. The hot dishes on the plate (meatballs and the fried dumplings) were cold. Unfortunately, the Aperol Spritz was also an older version, as the carbon dioxide could no longer be felt like with a bottled cola. When collecting the money, the gentleman charged us more for a tip than we actually clearly told him. This restaurant seemed to me as if they had finally lost motivation after a lockdown and the Federal Council's intervention due to the closures. It's a shame considering how nice the interior looks. The service and the food would be just as promising.

This restaurant is uncomplicated and pleasant. The food is fine and the ingredients are fresh. The food for children is not too spicy or salty, but suitable for children's tastes.

I've been eating there a little less for years now! Because it is very tasty and the hospitality is friendly and accommodating. Hopefully again soon

Wir waren drei Erwachsene und vier Kinder und fühlten uns von Anfang an nicht willkommen geheissen, obwohl unsere Kinder sich im Restaurant sehr angepasst verhielten. Der Wirt war sehr unfreundlich und das Essen, ausser dem Moussaka, liess zu wünschen übrig.

Griechische Spezialitäten im Zentrum von Luzern. Der Service war gut und die angebotenen Gerichte entsprachen der griechischen Tradition. Ich habe auch Griechenland besucht und ich kann sagen, dass die Lebensmittel im Stil der griechischen Tradition gut präsentiert werden.

Meine Freunde und ich wollten einmal griechisch essen gehen und stiessen schnell auf das Syrtaki. Leider war es aber alles in allem eine riesen Enttäuschung.Grundsätzlich ist die Einrichtung und die Stimmung im lokal ganz oke und man könnte sich wohlfühlen. Jedoch war es mit dem Wirt und seinen Umgangsformen eine echte Herausforderung hier eine gute Zeit zu haben. Beim Eintreten wurden wir nicht einmal begrüsst. Beim Bestellen war er enorm ungeduldig und genervt. Unsere Fragen zum Essen beantwortete er augenverdrehend und kopfschüttelnd. Immer wieder liess er in der Küche/hinter der Theke einen dummen Spruch über uns fallen oder lästerte über uns. Fairerweise muss man sagen, dass wir vor dem Bestellen noch auf einen Freund warten wollten und einige Minuten spät dran waren, das mag natürlich frustierend sein und tut uns wirklich leid. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt waren wir aber beinahe die einzigen im Lokal, nahmen also ganz sicher niemandem den Platz weg. Daher finde ich es sehr daneben und extrem unprofessionell von dem Wirten uns so unfreundlich, ungeduldig und gehässig zu behandeln. Das Essen war ganz gut, jedoch aus eben diesen Gründen ungeniessbar und für den misserablen Service zu teuer. Alles in allem also nicht empfehlenswert.

Ergänzung / Replik an den Inhaber: Aus meinem Namen politische Motive und kulturelle Routinen abzuleiten befremdet mich. Mein Tipp: Wenn der Gast fragen stellt, z.B. ob es zum Hauptgericht einen Beilagensalat gäbe, einfach mal den Kommentar verkneifen, ob man sich in der Schweiz, Deutschland oder sonst wo auf diesem Planeten befindet... Viel Glück, ich wünsche Ihnen eine schnelle Wiederkehr des Massentourismus in Luzern. Sie sind hierauf wohl angewiesen!

Sehr geehrter Herr Inhaber Da es leider nicht möglich ist auf die Antwort einer Rezession zu antworten, muss ich Sie durch eine neue 1-Sterne-Bewertung erreichen. Ich selbst arbeite nicht im Gastgewerbe, dennoch bin ich der Meinung, dass es sich als Gastgeber nicht gehört den Gästen "den Spiegel vorzuhalten" und dass man sich als Gast so etwas nicht gefallen lassen muss.

Wir haben dieses Restaurant zufällig gefunden und haben dort ein feines Mittagessen für Fr. 20.-- gegessen. Das Restaurant liegt an einer Nebenstrasse nahe des Bahnhofs Luzern. Bedienung sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Für uns ist das ein Geheimtip.

Essen und Service sind immer perfekt !

Sehr schönes griechisches Restaurant. Speisen super authentisch und unvergessen lecker. Inhaber (Griechen) sehr freundlich, typisch griechisch gastfreundlich. Sehr zu empfehlen von der Vorspeise (griechischer Bauernsalat, Calamares), über Hauptgang (Gyros, ein Traum) bis zum Dessert (Grapfruitsorbet mit Ouzo) einfach wunderbar! Entgegen dem Google Eintrag auch in Covid 19 Zeiten geöffnet.

Die Sachen was ich auf der Karte bestellt habe waren ansprechend angerichtet und werden immerzu warm serviert. Die Sesseln sind äußerst angenehm und den Abstand zwischen den Tischen finde ich sehr adäquat. Dort bekommt man kein Stück das Gefühl, wie Sardinen in der Dose Abend zu speisen.Hier erhält man sowohl als auch: Sympatische und flotte Ober.Wir waren völlig positiv überrascht. Wir beide werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

War dort am Faschingsdienstag essen. Freundliche Bedienung durch den Inhaber selbst. Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Bifteki kenne ich eigentlich mit Schafskäse, hat auch ohne ganz gut geschmeckt

I was looking forward to going here street living in Lucerne for a while with its limited Greek options, but unfortunately the food was disappointing. Atmosphere is nice and wine was good.

Ich kann das Syrtaki sehr empfehlen. Wir werden jedesmal herzlich begrüsst. Auch die Speissen sind immer top. Tolles Moussaka.

Schade, der Service ist leider unfreundlich und vergleichbar mit anderen Städten schmeckt das Essen leider nicht. Das Gyros-Fleisch ist sehr knorpelig und ungeniessbar. Bin sehr enttäuscht und werde dort nicht mehr essen gehen.

Die Bedienung und das ganze Lokal sind allerliebst und sehr authentisch griechisch. Das Moussaka war sehr sehr lecker und wir wurden schnell bedient, was wichtig ist in der Mittagspause.

Mehrmaliger Besuch am Mittag. Mit der Bedienung war ich sehr zufrieden. Leider waren die Mittagsmenüs jeweils zu fettig und etwas lieblos angerichtet. Die Vorspeisen, Salat und Suppe, waren keine Offenbarung.

We happened by Syrtaki's on our way back to our the Continental Hotel. The decor was a typical throw back to Greece. The husband and wife owners though were the real treat, Real Greek, or so I think. The food was great. Four of us each had a different dish and not one was a disappointment. And like all food in Lucerne, this was not a cheap date. But for the price and given all the other meals we had in the city, this was great food at prices comparable to most of the other places we ate in the city.
