The service is perfect: a boy (thirty years old) alone in the room; smiling, friendly and super efficient. Good quality food.

We ate there for the first time a few days ago. I was a little tense given the negative reviews especially about the service. We dealt with a relatively young man who was very pleasant and very knowledgeable about the dishes: we are vegetarians and my son is allergic to cashew nuts. The waiter gave us excellent advice and even made an adaptation for one of the dishes. The flavors are really delicious, each dish has a specific taste = authentic cuisine, the quantities are normal I would say, we didn't finish because we had ordered a lot and we were given the leftovers to take away. For drinks, we took water in a carafe which posed no problem. The only downside is that the naans are a little expensive in my opinion (but delicious, garlic naan). The decor is very ordinary, not fancy but I suppose that's often like this in India (apart from tourism). The other Indian restaurant a little further up the same street is better decorated but less authentic, I clearly preferred the New Delhi cuisine. I am looking forward to inviting my family there.

I ordered the chicken tikka masala, the color has nothing to do with the dish, the almonds are missing, ultra spicy with a weird aftertaste, the pieces of chicken are hard, you can see that they have been pricked as if for the skewers so I imagine they were taken from another dish. I called the restaurant to tell them there was a problem and they shut me up twice I do not recommend this restaurant

Excellent restaurant. The staff is polite and smiling, very friendly. The waiter served us and advised us, both on the wines and the dishes, like a sommelier in a great restaurant. I have read many negative comments about the servers but that's not what I saw at all, I think the staff must have changed. The dishes are excellent and very generous, we left with dogy bags with leftovers for the evening meal. Very fair prices for a large quantity of quality. I had the “Dal Palak” dish whose spices blended beautifully with the lentils and spinach. I recommend 100%.

Never really eat there but take it home. They have a special offer that costs just CHF 20.- for a dish with rice and a naan. It’s really good and tasty food although it could be hotter.

My experience here was very disappointing and we didn't even get a chance to taste the food due to the totally inappropriate behavior of the waiter (boss?) This gentleman was so unpleasant that we decided to eat elsewhere. Situation: I reserved a table for 4 people for 7:30 p.m. for last Thursday. I arrived at 7:15 p.m., two of my friends at 7:30 p.m. and unfortunately the 4th, coming from Morat, had an unexpected event with her young baby and unfortunately arrived almost an hour later. The server: When I arrived, this gentleman, already in a bad mood and not welcoming, showed me the table without saying hello. He then came back and threw 4 menus on the table. When my 2 friends arrived, he asked us what we wanted to order. We took a liter bottle of sparkling water and said we were waiting for the 4th person. Half an hour later he comes back, tells us in a haughty and very unpleasant manner that it is not okay to wait, that we must arrive on time, otherwise the reservation is canceled. We are shocked by the tone and attitude, told him that our friend was on her way from far away and that she had had an unexpected incident with her baby. I would like to point out that the restaurant was not full at all. When our friend arrived, he was once again not happy. This time it was the location of the stroller that didn't suit him, so he bullied my friend into moving it. It was too much, this deplorable sense of service and his unsympathetic and misogynistic attitude got the better of our patience. And I told him that we don't like the way he's talking to us at all and that we're going to leave. I asked him how much I owed him for the bottle of water and so the saga continued. Final episode “water”: He served us a 1 liter bottle of Arkina which is not indicated in their menu and asked us 10.- I asked him to show me on the map where this drink can be found for 10.- he refuses to take me up, talks to me badly and brings me a ticket saying that 5.- is for 1/ 2 liters including 10.- for a liter. Except that on the map he had 1/2 Henniez at 4.- and 1/2 San Pellegrino at 5.-. Sorry but Arkina is not the same as San Pellegrino!! So in addition to being a terrible person, he is a scammer and dishonest. We will never set foot in this place again.

I came often and well now I'm not going to come back You need to review the way you talk to people, dear sir! You lose customers like that! Unpleasant gentleman, we called him 20 minutes before our appointment to report our 10 minute delay, subsequently he called my brother insulting him because he made a bad comment regarding his aggressive behavior.

Booked with TheFork and during the bill I pointed out to him that the discount was not there and he replied that it was done even though it was not. The waiter was not at all pleasant or professional and we're not even talking about the decoration... Scotch tape keeps the paint on the wall from falling off... Compared to other Indian restaurants, the menu is certainly cheaper but the portions are also smaller. Oddly, after ordering, the dishes were brought to us in 5 minutes, so 3 nans, 2 tiki masalas and rice. I won't come back again

I ordered food through delivery in the evening at 7, and I am wiring this worst review of my life at 8:30pm. THE FOOD IS SPOILED. If you don’t want to serve fresh food, close up your restaurant or fire the chef.

My family and I were at New Delhi - Indian Restaurant today 20 Aug 2023 evening, as we entered in and asked the person (the owner) to have us seated, we immediately realized the guy was not only unfriendly, but ill-mannered too. It became clear to us as he came by later to take our orders, he was disrespectful. 5 minutes later after we placed our order, we approached the same guy (as he is the only person there to take orders and serve) with a simple question and the guy responded with rage (we were shocked) and highly inconsiderate, behaving absolute in an uncivilized manner. He was terribly rude, no customer would like to be treated in that way. You will never ever meet such an arrogant person in a business treating you in this manner ever, I guarantee that. There just cannot be a positive review about New Delhi - Indian Restaurant, Lausanne, Switzerland. I would not recommend this place to anyone. It would be an absolute waste of your time and money, all you will encounter is a guy with a bad temperament that’s very hard to counter and you will be in no mood to eat after that experience. So just avoid this restaurant at any cost, it is not worth it.

Have been to this restaurant several times, the food isn't bad but the waiter this time was really really rude and went beyond all limits! We were truly shocked by his rudeness and arrogance... after pointing out some things that were wrong he replied "it's not my problem", his rudeness really ruined our dinner! Furthermore, one of us was ill during the night, so we began to wonder whether the food was of good quality or not... I'm very sorry because until recently we came every now and then but I will never return to this place again, you can't treat customers like this!

Location: around 150m from Lausane station and with bus stop right in the front. Food: they have various type of protein and vegeterian as well. The food was amazing to us. The portion is ok, rice and bread is not included in some dishes. Service: the waiter was super nice and helpful, he was fast, efficient and nice enough to warn us about some dishes which maybe too spicy or strange to us. Price: a bit high but with the service and location would he ok. We have reservation via The Fork so we have 50% off on main dishes but we need to call drinks from the menu.

DISGUSTING! Being big fans of Indian cuisine, we thought we'd try this restaurant thanks to the ratings on Uber. It's frankly a shame for India to serve this! Instead of a butter chicken we would have said we were eating an expired Thai curry, the cheese naans are thin as paper, taste like cardboard, and the cheese is certainly pizza/gratin cheese (from the smell and taste). visual aspect without a doubt!). Horrible, don't be fooled! Besides, the portions are ridiculous for the price! I don't understand the ratings they have! GO ELSEWHERE RUN AWAY!

The restaurant needs to update their timing. I had called the restaurant to ask if I can get a table at 1.30pm but Zahir, the person who answered the call told me that the kitchen is only on till 1pm. When I asked whether a take-away will be possible,he said that they do not want us coming in at 1.30pm for that as well. Doesn’t seem like an authentic Indian restaurant as well with the way the person behaved which is very much unlike Indian hospitality. I would definitely avoid and go to someplace else for Indian food

Terrible customer contact. Order made remotely and after 1 hour 15 minutes of waiting, no information. We called and the person hung up on us. The food is good but the service is dismal both on site and remotely.

I can understand that sometimes there are just a lot of people and we are overwhelmed. But this is no excuse for being rude and contemptuous towards customers. I strongly advise you to have a serious discussion with your employees. Very bad service, incredibly bad I would even say. Food ok.

Not even a hello not even the name of the establishment just hello!! like he was angry then after taking the orders he relaxed a little but before the order he was a little pushy. It's small and cozy. The Coconut Naan is killer sooooooo good!! Absolutely a must-try! I've been there a few times now, and the food was always delicious. I prefer vegetarian dishes, but I also tried the lamb which was very good. The plain lassi is very good too. The staff is very pleasant ^^

HORRIBLE AND RACIST RESTAURANT. 1. The server said entry is required, which is not true. 2. He served rice that we didn't order as if it was a freebie. We refused because it was not free. If we didn't ask... We should pay, I think. 3. The total price was different compared to the dishes we ordered. It wasn't a big difference, but still, it increased the price. 4. So I told him about the price problem, he almost started the card machine while whispering "THE CHINESE". And he corrected the price by saying "Are you happy like that?" Worst Indian restaurant in Lausanne. The Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken do not have the Indian taste that it should have.

We reserved a place for lunch for 4 people on July 8th (Friday) using the “TheFork” app. Since the 2 tables were very small and we had appetizers and drinks in addition to the main menu, we politely asked for an additional table (in good conscience, since there was no one in the restaurant anyway and we were the only guests). The answer was no and that the space as it is would be enough for us, which came across as very arrogant. The vegetarian starter (Begoni) tasted good. For the main course we had 2x vegetarian thali, a chicken dish and a beef dish. The meat dishes were good, the vegetarian dish was also good. At the end we had a question about the bill because we were unsure whether the waiter had charged the meal at a 50% discount. As soon as we asked about it, he responded angrily and disrespectfully. He went through 5 dishes in the bill and after the 6th dish he said that he can't explain everything (even though we didn't ask). The communication and the way he dealt with us was not correct and very uncomfortable for us. After paying, my friend asked why he had been so rude to us. He then quickly got offended and talked about his 7 years of experience and that he had never received such a complaint. Instead of listening and receiving constructive criticism, he began to defend himself unprofessionally until we got up and walked away on our own. The food was overall ok. But the old, common saying, "the customer is king", is probably out of place in this restaurant!!!

The service was very bad. The guy was rude and not great food. He was not taking orders properly and was serving food as if it was for free. The ambience was very bad! Overall experience was very very bad!!

Everything was horrible! With a wait at the door because no one was there to welcome customers (even though the restaurant was empty). No form of politeness, the waiter puts us at a table by literally throwing the menu on the table. The food is nothing more and a strange mixture which is neither Indian nor Bengali. We hadn't even had time to finish before the waiter cleared us and gave us the bill (the restaurant was still empty!!). The waiter takes the money and throws the change in our faces. We had booked on fork! AND we see once at home that the waiter indicates that we had canceled dinner. Total lack of respect. Never to return again.

Guy handling customer was behaving very rudely. Speaking style was extremely rude. He came with food and bangged the food on table as if we were beggars n he gave us food for free. We decided to go there because of the reviews but it was totally bad experience.They made everything Daal Makhani,Shahi Paneer even veg raita it was all sweet...Not at all tasty , no Tandoori rotis only Naan... overall not at all good experience.

We did a resevation with the application called Le Fork with 50% discount but when they gave us the bill they didnt apply any discount. I show them the resevation with the discount and the give us the new bill and I said that the discount was not correct in the bill. In this moment they told us that the discount is not updated in the application and they only apply to us a discount by 30% and this discount is not applicable to the riz. At the end they did the 30% discount to the following plates: Lamb Masala, Poulet Korma and Nan Fromage. They didnt apply any discount to the Riz Basmati and in the Fork application this is not indicated. Our recomendation is that you need to confirm before order anything that they are going to apply the expected discount to avoid surprises at the end when you are going to pay. Best regards.
