Zooburger in Lausanne

Great restaurant, the staff are lovely and the burgers are delicious. Fries a little expensive.

I only had a cheeseburger, because I wasn't very hungry that day. They asked me for doneness, I asked well done. After biting into it, I realized it was bloody, so I turned it over. After a good 10 minutes of waiting, it came back, but still slightly pink......plus the taste had changed, it was rather sweet??? the bread was soft like a sponge...... In addition, if you have good eyesight, you will be able to read the card because it is written smaller than in Le Matin.....too bad. I won't set foot there again.

They are the best burgers but I really miss my mafioso vege. I hope he comes back 🙏

For what used to be a staple in Lausanne must eat burgers, has become a totally disappointing destination. Soggie bloodie buns, slimey cheese, fries so small you feel like you got the bottom of the bag; coupled with filthy toilets and a staff that would rather be doing their university homework than waiting your table. Not going back any time soon! I have edited my review as it seems I cannot add a response to your comment A.Rigaud. If I have taken the time to write a review its not for 'gratuitous aggression' but for complete disappointment. I used to live 10 minutes away and I would come regularly with my wife. I decided to come back as we were in the area, and my experience was nothing short of 'poor'. I always loved the quality of your food, but I would absolutely suggest you visit this establishment and keep an eye on how things are being done there. From what I saw in mine and my wife's plate, this was not AT ALL what we were used to from Zoo Burger. Yes, disappointed and always available to provide constructive criticism!

Great discovery, restaurant on Avenue de l'Elysée is warm, welcoming staff, the hamburgers are delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. JJV

Amazing burger place. Fresh meat prepared daily for juicy burgers. Generous portions and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Burgers with the malakof are a must try for cheese lovers.

The morel burger is excellent and the fries are perfect. On the other hand, I recommend eating the fries after the burger because the aioli sauce can mask certain flavors of the sandwich. The terrace is pleasant.

Gluten-free bread was ordered, the order was exchanged with that of another customer, after asking the waiter to confirm whether it was actually my sandwich (since I am gluten intolerant, an important detail) the waiter firmly replied yes. Unfortunately, only after finishing did I unfortunately realize that that sandwich wasn't gluten-free... Why lie to the customer? In these cases, health is involved

Came for dinner on a Saturday evening, more than 30 minutes of waiting for a burger and the fries were cold... It's still a very good burger and the atmosphere is nice

Slow and lousy service. The hamburger was bland and the bun too soft. Old recooked fries. We will never go back there. Dirty place! The price is too much! Ounce francs of judge apple, they brought us the larger glass without asking us what we wanted. We do not recommend this restaurant at all!

The burgers, fries and vegetarian nuggets at Zooburger are more than delicious. The same goes for homemade desserts. Very good coffee from Pappy John in Renens. A wide choice of craft beers. We are very satisfied. The servers are professional and kind. I can only recommend this restaurant. We come back with great pleasure!

I was expecting an ordinary fast burger restaurant, and then I was pleasantly surprised first of all by the setting which is very bucolic because it is under the trees, well shaded and full of small birds. Then by the service which is worthy of a restaurant. And finally by the cuisine which offers real artisanal products and original recipes. It's worth the detour !

So so, nice terrace but the food that I had been praised for so much was quite disappointing. Hamburger without sauce and "fries" the longest of which had to be around ~ 1.5cm and counting. Fairly small portion and expensive drinks for what they are (11.- per liter of syrups 😳) I would still go to Holy Cow.

The burger steak has not been completely defrosted, and the service was so rude, I paid to abuse myself, try to avoid here.

Between the time we were seated and the time our order was taken it took 30 minutes (watch in hand), and 60 minutes (watch in hand) for us to be served. However, we arrived first, at the opening. At no time did the staff apologize (they were mainly concerned with cashing out on us). Moreover, one of the waiters even told us that it was “always like that”. At least I am reassured, my opinion is therefore representative of the experience in this restaurant.

Traveled from morges and visited this place with my colleagues. Amazing place and wide variety of burgers. I don't usually eat burgers but wanted to try this place as my friends were saying it's the best. It was completely true, great food. High quality and delicious. Got their biggest double burger with chips, it was fantastic. It had great cheese, and nicely cooked meat. Chips were the best and with the beer it was great. Loved their coffee after the food, very refreshing. Definitely a great place to visit in Lausanne.

Overall, a subpar experience, I am accustomed to burger places where you can have every Burger as veggie, and with a lot of different options. Here, you only have a few vegetarian options and frankly they were not very appetizing. Although I love Zoo Burger, I am not recommending this if your vegetarian.

Dinned on a Saturday afternoon, the food was very well made and tasted fresh and homemade. The service was good when looking at the situation from different angles (very busy). Once I finished my lunch I went and talked a little bit with the chefs they were very friendly, one even gave me different recommendations on where other spot I could visit while here on my holiday. I recommend this restaurant

Discovered by chance. I didn't think I would find a burger restaurant in the neighborhood. We sat in the garden terrace. Very good atmosphere for the sunny midday break. Very good choice of burger recipes. A good vegetarian selection as well. The bread is homemade, and that makes the difference. The menus are served with excellent thyme fries and aioli sauce. A plus for alternative drinks. We didn't have time to try the desserts. It's been postponed.

"the best burgers ever". here is the title that I want to share because I enjoyed it so much. I had a raclette burger, the meat cooked to perfection and the aioli sauce to die for! I really recommend it. The homemade fries are great, small downside I prefer them with paprika and not thyme, nevertheless they are excellent. And then the beer selection is great. The prices are those of a restaurant and not a fast food restaurant, therefore more expensive but the quality of the service is impeccable and so is the burger. A bit of a wait when attendance is high, but that's a sign of quality. I recommend in every way!

I ate the burger of the moment The BACK TO GRREN, INCREDIBLE! It's fresh, I love the grilled peppers just as much as the eggplant caviar and grilled zucchini! The spinach bread is simply exceptional!! I recommend going to eat there and not just once! the service is friendly, young, but professional.

Great welcome! The fries are excellent and the garlic sauce is truly a gem. There is a huge choice of vegetarian burgers for those who are. The service is very fast and the terrace is in the shade, perfect for a summer day when it’s 34 degrees!!! It is easily accessible by public transport. In short, it’s just the best 👌👌👌

The burger and fries were pretty good, but very heavy and oily. The terrace is pleasant and the kitchen is open almost all day. The service leaves something to be desired. We almost have the impression of disturbing. 30 minutes to place our order even though we were alone. If we had been in a better location, we would have gone elsewhere.

Ask for tables in the garden, because the terrace is close to traffic and not great, compared to the little paradise in the garden... very good burger, reasonable price.

Delicious homemade Burger, quick takeaway service (15-20min max), more difficult to eat on site as it quickly fills up. The menu doesn't really change over time but there are classics that are offered. I recommend the wing sauce that comes with the fries, a real killer. Be careful, they do not offer the same burgers in the city center and in Ouchy, take a look at the corresponding menu. Enjoy

Average burger, bad service. I found a piece of a metal kitchen scrubber in my fries, told it to a waiter, never got anything back. Not an apology, an attempt at fixing things. He just took the piece, left my fries and burger and when he came back he asked if we wanted dessert. Honestly inexcusable.

The place is nice, original decor, the service and food nothing to say, very good (except that there is no solution for me to change my baby). My negative remark is that there was no suitable place to change a baby. Proposal: it is possible to install a wall-mounted changing table in the toilets. I'm giving it 3 stars, I could have given it more if I hadn't had this drawback.

Every time I eat here it's always perfect, the burgers are super good, I also love the fries that go with them. The welcome is warm, kind and very attentive. I want to mention the good placement of the terrace, which is located in a quiet area, sheltered from the wind and noise from the street, and is lit so as to create a relaxing atmosphere in the evening.

Big disappointment. I have known Zoo burger for over 10 years. It's been a while since I went back because I no longer live in Lausanne. The cheeseburger bun was limp and tasteless, the meat tasteless, the toppings boring and the fries limp. These were the best burgers in Lausanne but this is clearly no longer the case unfortunately.

The burgers are quite creative but I feel like the quality of the ingredients has gotten worse over the years. Therefore, I feel like the value for money isn't as good as it once was. I was disappointed especially with the Kalahari special; dry, lacking in sauce and felt like it was just thrown together with whatever they had in the kitchen. Bun could have been toasted, instead it felt like it was just out of the packet. Feta cubes in a burger just don't work. Make more effort pls, especially for a combo worth 25 CHF. Beer was great however, locally produced and of a very high quality. If it hadn't been for the awesome beer, I would have complained and probably left without paying - the fries were on average about 3cm in length. I'm all for homemade but this was just taking the Mickey. I recently have eaten at both of their outlets in Lausanne. The outdoor space is much appreciated.

The tiptop staff: professional, helpful and friendly. On the other hand, the hamburger was very average, the bread was small and the steak was well overcooked. The worst was the fries, a real disaster: cooked, recooked, overcooked... Chips? ;-) Well, I certainly had a bad time because two friends told me good things about the restaurant, I will be back! to get another idea :-D
