NORDSEE in Zürich

Went to the take away at around 1:44 p.m., the staff is very unfriendly, so many customers mention this in the comments and it's not the first time! You should urgently change something. Otherwise all your customers will soon run away from you. The small North Sea without a restaurant always has friendly staff.

We ate here today and the portions were at the bottom of the drawer. I ordered shrimp and chips in the big box and there were no less than 4 shrimp in it. For the price of 13.90 it should be more. If that was a big portion for you, what about the small one? You only get 2? If I just want to eat fries, I go to Fries Brothers and not to Nordsee. Pure disappointment!

Cold calamari wet cold fish nuggets just disappointing so much sauce that everything is full of it is a real disaster

Quality of the food is great. Staff could be friendlier.

I received very warm advice. Very friendly and attentive staff. I was positively surprised. Food was ready quickly. Pleasant and uncomplicated atmosphere in the restaurant.

Unfortunately the soup always is so hot, I have to eat it after all.

The roll was drier than the Sahara and the fish tasted like it was seasoned with water. Not worth the 7 francs.

We were at the main train station with the family and wanted to eat together at Nordsee. The food was good. The operation was an absolute disaster! - Unfriendly - She didn't listen - The order was taken incorrectly - couldn't give an answer to any question - Was so annoyed that we as customers felt it extremely. Unfortunately, she didn't type any combos with drinks and menus because she just didn't want to listen. A pity. We like to eat at North Sea. But the staff leaves a lot to be desired.

Swiss down to earth fast food. Basically a McDonald’s of seafood. It’s a bit pricey for fast food but expected because seafood is expensive. Located in the train station.

Quite good. It used to be better. But still significantly fresher and better than the North Sea from the motorway operator. They're also scary. Here you have nice rolls and the usual. Just average North Sea. OK for a snack at the train station.

My sandwich was frozen, you couldn't even taste the sauce... On the other hand, very clean toilets...

Today I enjoyed a little oyster chat with a fine glass of white wine. The oysters were good, but what was missing was salt and pepper!

The food was good but pricy for the type and quantity. Ok atmosphere being in a grand station with lots of noise. Service is acceptable though rushed

I strongly believe they are forcing their employees to not speak English at all.

The best SeafoodbRestaurant near Train station Banhof Zurich I come here every time when I am in Zurich. 1. Fresh food 2. Reasonable prices 3. Excellent staffs Specially the manager Mr. Mozaffari and others Mr. Karimi and Mr. Morteza ecc They are so kind, smily and professional in hospitality. Try Salmon with roasted potatoes and Prawn and you will love them They have a seating area. Just sometimes the toilet not works well. Thanks Iman

The fish and shrimp baguettes are highly recommended. They are delicious. And unique with fish or shrimp as the main ingredient. However, I would advise against fish & chips. I wanted to try them, expecting they would actually taste like those in a chip shop in the UK. But that was a disappointment. The chips still had the shell on them and were limp. The lumps of fish tasted like fish sticks. Crispy on the outside and meaty and a bit dry on the inside. No comparison to a real fish fillet in batter. The price for a large portion, which includes six fish nuggets and a reasonable portion of chips, costs CHF13.50. A 0.5l can of beer cost CHF6.50. That's too much for the quality offered. The extremely friendly lady who served me probably saw very little of it.

The prawns were huge and tasty, as was the grilled salmon. The meal was quite satisfying, even though the price was very expensive!

The fish wasn’t fresh, even the tartar sauce could not make it more palatable. So definitely not worth the price we paid. The baby potatoes were decent. The salad with seafood was the only thing that was delicious. Iced tea was overpriced and over diluted. Tried it for the experience, would not come back and wouldn’t recommend.

It's ok for the bhf but for 10.- you get 4 pieces of fish with the fish & chips, that's lousy!

got the Shrimp Box, the breading was so hard I was afraid to chip my front teeth, so I took bites with my molar teeth. Greasy but yet Dry AF, I don't know what kind of shrimp that was but ratio to the breading was 20 to 80. I like Nordsee, always great food but apparently not this place in Zürich

Fantastic option for Seafood Lovers at Main Station Zurich ( HB). This restaurant is located in the subway of Zurich HB . Freshest seafood including wide variety like arctic Salmon , Tiger prawns , Tuna , Squids, local fish . Must visit . Prices at par with regular restaurants in Zurich . One can choose a main fish ...then add ons like rice , potatoes etc are additional . They have burgers ,wraps ,fries too . Highly recommended!!

The place looked cosy, but the food was totally unedible, greasy, tasteless or over salted.

Normally shrimps in a Krevetten baguette were just fresh and rose, today they decided to make all baguettes with yellow shrimps. Nordsee has a Krevettensalat with some yellow sauce, maybe they used shrimps from it instead of fresh shrimps today? Also the sandwich looks just horrible, not a surprise they decided to put it in a box, although normally just a paper bag was enough.

The take away service was ok, the seafood and fish sandwich, salad and raw prawn was quite good. A bit pricey but quite good

Found the North Sea after a long discussion☑️ The fish nuggets could be crispier and you can tell that they didn't get real salt water during their lifetime. Tartar sauce is very tasty but probably because of a ton of flavor enhancers. the wedges are slippery. The food still satisfies our hangover needs! It would probably be better if not, but I think we'll be back...#SeefeldVibes<3

A place for easy seafood with quality and reasonable price. Fries are specially yummy.

Had fish and chips and it was delicious. I thought it was great that the sauce was served in a biscuit. Staff was ok. Price/performance was good. I would love to come again.

We ordered fish soup to take away with bread and prawns and we were really taken for a ride, only two prawns, bread wasn't even included although 2 loaves were 4fr. cost. Then we waited another 10 minutes and simply couldn't believe the unpleasant atmosphere from the staff towards us. I wouldn't recommend anyone to eat there.

It's located underground at the station, so I went there for a quick lunch. It's good to see and choose, but the fish and chips (9.5CHF) and salad (4.9CHF) were not particularly delicious. It feels like a fast food restaurant. Karanda beer is 30dl=5.2CHF.

The fish fillet - "completely freshly made" according to the server - was cold, the mushroom sauce plastered on it was disgusting and inedible. I preferred to forego a replacement that was offered.

We were looking for a place to eat. We were just walking around as it was raining. We went down a subway and saw many shops and restaurants. We saw Nordsee as me and my friend are both fans of seafood. They had a large variety in different kind of seafood sandwiches or an assorted seafood box. It was on the expensive side but still cheaper then where we have been eating in Zurich. Food was worth the taste. When I do go back to Zurich I will be eating there again.

A seafood restaurant, with a varied and delicious menu of foods. Its price is a little high but worth a try. It is located in the train station.

Fish fillet and sauce no taste. Like it had been in the fridge for days. Fries cold, sticky. Quality zero. No solution was received when complaining. "It's just like that" was the answer I got. In the complaint letter you are informed by the area manager, Mr. Karsten Thormann, that the Country Fries mentioned are not Country Fries but are called French Fries. Then the daily statistics of the menus sold that day are mentioned, but nothing concrete is done. My money was collected, but I didn't receive the service. I myself am also a restaurateur and do not recommend eating fish in the North Sea Restaurant. Never again North Sea.

Actually I find this one of the most comfortable places at Zürich Hbf if you have to spend a few hours or so waiting for your train connection. The food is nice and fresh, the assortment is varied, the place is spacious, staff is friendly, you can have a beer or a wine with your meal and, not unimportant during your stopover, the restaurant has its own indoor free toilets. Prices are very reasonable for Swiss standards.

The man behind the counter was very rude. The bread from the sandwich and fish fillet were dry and cold. No sauce, light salad, cheese and tomatoes from yesterday... yuck! 7.90 CHF for something like that is a disgrace :-(

First time ever in Zurich. Came from a train ride. Starving. Wanted to eat something quick before walking to the hotel. Had fish and chips for about 10 CHF. Fish and fries were very good. The lady at the counter was friendly. Sat on one of the tables opp to the counter. Good quantity of fries..will try again for sure.

It's been a long time since I've had such a bad meal as in this North Sea. Every kiosk offers tastier sandwiches. Shrimp roll costs like a shrimp roll but would have no taste at all without the cucumbers. The smoked salmon tastes just like it has been thawed and refrozen countless times. Almost all of the flavors have escaped here, so it's better to buy 2L of water, it costs 1/10 and offers the same taste. I used to like to consult North Sea. Now they seem to buy even cheaper and place even less value on quality, perhaps other North Seas are a little tastier, this one is a shame

There's no variety in seat choices, but the interior is spacious and bright, and everything else is the same as other NORDSEEs.

We ordered the salmon + the fish with mushroom and cheese + fish and chips + fried shrimp + cold shrimp All of them were good except the cold shrimp which is tasteless. Don’t miss the tarte and the chili sauce, very delicious Even though I’m not a fan of sea food i really enjoyed it👍

Had dinner in the evening. It wasn't a luxury, just a quick meal. I was asked what side dishes and drink I wanted with it. It was ok.

Friendly staff, fast service, fine fish menus, relatively large portions and yet cheap. These North Sea restaurants are great.

Very good service and tasty seafood. The grilled tiger shrimps were really good as was the fried fish nuggets and shrimps. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Restaurant is clean and inviting.

Cheap food at hb. Good sandwiches and fish and chips.

Price increases every 2 months right now. From Fishbox for 7.80chf they raised within 6 months to 9.60chf. kinda insane. Food really depends on the time and person who serves it, but in general ok.

Rubbery calamari rings, mini prawns, pieces of fish in a huge layer of batter... Of course I complained and got an answer: next time go where there are good calamari rings. Clear,! I'll do it. I have to honestly say, compared to before, North Sea quality is low... By by... Unfortunately!
