Good ramen, small place, always very crowded. Better to book in advance. Tantamen it was spicy (to be taken into account if you want to finish all the broth) and tasty. The tempura tofu and Dashi appetizer was very good. Sharing a beer, the total was 70fr for 2. Definitely recommended for quality/price ratio

Never again …. Ramen was so bad, I wanted a vegi soup since I'm Muslim and got a pork broth... was lied to badly. Very disappointed

The Tonkatsu is okayish, the karaage not up to standard, but the tantanmen is really good. Service is great and you really have a nice izakaya style of vibe in the restaurant.

Cosy atmosphere, friendly staff and tasty food, everything that I'm looking for in a restaurant was found here! The ramen are presented in a very beautiful way. The pork in it was very tasty and the corn added a nice crunch and some additional freshness. I personally found it a bit salty, but that's just my opinion. Something unexpected that I really liked, was that they would refill your ordered waterbottles for free once they were empty. You can really tell that they use very fresh ingredients. The fried chicken was super crunchy and tender. The mayo that came with it was also perfectly seasoned. I will definitely come back again! To anyone who wants to visit I recommend making a reservation in advance.

Cute little restaurant with friendly staff. The food pretty good and seemed authentically Japanese. We tried the udon noodle soup and the chicken curry. We enjoyed the crispiness of the chicken and the soup was very flavourful and had a nice mix of textures. We liked the Japanese ambience of the the restaurant and the staff was very kind and friendly.

Our absolute favorite restaurant in Zurich. The Vegi-Tantanmen Ramen in particular is really great (and the spiciness is okay too). However, you should reserve in advance or be there shortly before the store opens

As a man who came from Japan, and knows what real Japanese food is, this is the best Japanese restaurant in Zurich. Luxury Omakase style with 350 bucks at those restaurants are wonderful but the local restaurants in Japan are very inexpensive and that’s best. The food is delicious. We had the Katsudon with Egg. It was super nice. Ginger beer not so much. Ramune and sake is good too. The service was nice but very un-attentive. Other than that, recommended for one time visit until they improve on service.

The Tonkatsu Ramen, Guy Karee Udon and Tori No Karaage were very tasty and authentic. The service was also very friendly. However, if there are two of you, you sit very close to other tables for two, so that your neighbors essentially become part of the conversation. If you just want to eat casually, no problem, if you have more serious conversations you might want to look for a little more privacy. Reservation strongly recommended.

Great experience! With my boyfriend we had lunch at the Ooki restaurant( I recommend to reserve a table before going), we had fried chicken and squid which were delicious. For main course we had the tonkostu ramen and rice with pork, also one of the best ramen I have eaten in Zurich. The desserts are very traditional and good. I highly recommend this place. The atmosphere was like we were in Japan. Thank you for the great service!😇🙏

Delicious gyozas, crispy outside and soft inside. Wonderful ramen, generous, not too salty and very tasty. We can choose different levels of spicy. Staff is nice and profesional. Had a car accident, they changed our table reservation accordingly and asked if we were ok.

Best ramen in Switzerland! The egg, pork, ramen noodles and soup is just so delicious. Always come here whenever I go to Zürich! They reserve some tables for people without reservations but I recommend reserving in advance!

Really nice and cosy inside, and service was good. We had the veggie gyoza and agedashi tofu as starters but weren’t too impressed with either - the flavour of the gyoza wasn’t great, and the agedashi tofu wasn’t as crisp on the outside or soft on the inside as we would have liked, though the broth was nice. However, we really really enjoyed the vegi tantanmen - it was really flavourful, and had a really nice sesame flavour to it. Would definitely come back and maybe try some different starters!

Great service, delicious quality ramen, cosy place

It was my first time in the main restaurant, before that I was in the pavilion. I was there with a group and we were more than happy with everything. My personal highlights were the various starters, all of them delicious. The main course and the dessert were also very convincing, everything was authentically Japanese as you would imagine. Unfortunately the tatami room was already fully booked, maybe it will work next time :)

Nice, very popular Japanese restaurant with many specialties. It has tables and a counter overlooking the kitchen equipped with games for fun while waiting for the dishes. Efficient and friendly service. The way of serving sake is particular.

Takes you on a little trip to Japan. Try Daifuku with sesame seeds or the matcha mochi. It's even lovely to visit the restaurant on your own to see how the dishes are prepared and to play with coin-operated machines. Tea with rice?

Very fine food and generous portions, so untypical for Tsüri! Agedashitofu (ouch! You can burn your tongue on fried tofu if you bite into it too greedily. But it was worth it! 😜) and Yuzu Shio Ramen (spicy). Gladly again!

The good was delightful and the atmosphere inside made me feel like I am in Japan. Love the antique interior. Sitting on the bar was a great choice. Seeing the chef’s performance right in-front was another level of experience. Also was pleasure to see the Hong Kong chef again in Ooki. Thank for an amazing evening !

Best ramen in Zurich! Brilliant service!

Not the best ramen, but overall good

Food is good but the wait time was awful. We understand that there is a wait of up to an hour BUT we waited for an hour just for a friend of the server to pass by the restaurant and then the server proceeds to tell them to come in and eat that they DO NOT HAVE TO WAIT AND CAN SKIP THE WAITLIST. And then the friend starts bragging outside to her group of 4 people saying how they don’t need to wait for a table. It is just rude to do that and disrespectful towards all the other people outside.

Great ambience, fast service and lovely staff. Regarding the food, loved their miso soup but the sauces for the main dishes were disappointing (hence 4 stars instead of 5). Overall I would recommend the place and would visit again.

If you're craving Japanese food in Zurich, this might be a place for you to visit. Personally, no place so far will ever match what I've eaten and experienced in Japan, but Ooki is better than your average Japanese place. As usual, expensive for what you get, but that's just Zurich.

My boyfriend and I really missed Japanese food and finally we found some very authentic and delicious Japanese food.. Definitely coming again to eat some Tonkatsu und Gyozas. Reccomending this place for sure

It’s good food, but don’t come as walk in if you value your time. They tell you you’re next in line and it’ll be quick, say they call you, take another group instead and keep you waiting. Reserve or simply go elsewhere.

Ooki is probably one of the best places in Zurich for an authentic (and affordable) Japanese dining experience. The restaurant in Wiedikon has a cool, alternative vibe which is always full every evening with young folks (also contributing to the hipness of this place). The menu is relatively simple but are always done well. We always start with their gyoza that are perfectly pan fried and leaves your mouth watering for more. As a pescatarian, I usually opt between the tofu katsu curry and the veggie tan tan men for my main dish. I recently went and realized the restaurant cut all of their tempura dishes! (I used to alternate also with the shrimp tempura.) Another dish to recommend is their seasonal offer of hiyashi yuzu tan tan men (dry and not soupy!) which my partner found the addition of yuzu an unexpected flavor that combined well with the nutty flavors of the tan tan men! Anyways, love this place and will keep coming back for all occasions.

My first taste of japanese food in zurich and definitely off to a good start. I was recommended the tantam ramen. Whilst the ramen thickness is thinner than what i wouldve liked and ground beef in ramen is certainly interesting, the broth was rich and the perfect level of spice🥰 portion size was good. Also got the sake spritz which was refreshing but okay! Go for this if you dont want to spend $13 on one shot of sake and want more bang for your buck volume wise. Service was fast and great!

Had the tonkotsu ramen Soup tasted on point, had right amount of richness and saltiness and a nice flavor. Noodles were fitting and were great. On the other hand the ratio of noodle to soup seemed completely off. Compared to ramen shops in japan they serve about double the amount of noodles with a lot less soup. Once you get further down the bowl there are still lots of noodles left which all get soggy and the soup gets starchy. Adding to the small pieces (sesame probably) at the bottom the soup becomes barely edible. Also it is a shame that it’s served warm instead of hot. Could have been super solid ramen

This is an amazing Japanese place close to the city centre. The atmosphere is great and service is timely and friendly. The ramen tasted amazing. Will for sure come again

Very good experience in this ramen restaurant in Zurich. Extensive choice of dishes, the gyozas were good and crunchy. Ramen excels with a rich, flavorful broth, the perfect half-cooked egg, and firm noodles that retain all their flavors. The dessert was also very good, good portion and well presented. Just a small negative note on the cocktail which I found too sweet and not very original in taste despite an attractive presentation on the menu. The interior decor is very pretty with a tatami room, the toilets are clean and well maintained. The service is smiling and polite. Overall, very good experience at this ramen, I will probably go back!

Good Japanese comfort food at fair prices.

After we never made it to the Ooki Pavilion in the summer, we went to Ooki in Wiedikon as a group of 6 in the winter. We had a great evening. The service was very attentive and organized. The food was excellent and was served to all of us at the same time. We recommend that instead of the traditional tables, you eat at the table in the traditionally decorated room with the paper walls on the table on the floor so that you have the full package. Attention - your shoes have to be taken off in this room 😊

Love it! In the summer they have nice cold noodle dishes. I also particularly like their desserts and drinks menu! Only negative point is that you usually can only go from 6 to 8pm or 8pm to 10pm, meaning that a reservation at 7pm or 7.30pm is usually not possible. I know that some people like to eat early here but 6pm is just too early...

Top quality and great atmosphere inside the restaurant

The climate makes this place worth visiting. There is a relaxed atmosphere. The waiters are very polite and stress-free. The food is delicious. The only thing I was missing was more meat and more spices ;-)

We ordered karage, gyudon and katsu. Those were all good also for me as Japanese. Even the rice of donburi was good. I ordered fried chicken, gyudon, and tonkatsu, and they were all Japanese-style and delicious! I haven't eaten ramen or gyoza, but I recommend it if you're craving Japanese food.

As a Naruto fan you have to order ramen in the tatami room. Previously you had to spend CHF 400, which was really a lot. Today I don't think that's the case anymore. And recently there is also fish. They wanted to do without it from the start. Great place in Zurich and has almost become a cult.

I ordered a chickenkatsukaree. The chicken was of very poor quality. Nerves, fat and strange color. I almost didn't touch my plate and I told the waitress when she came. She asked me if we wanted coffee and we had espressos and in the end we had to pay for them. I complained but to no avail. Bad service and bad food. It is clear that I will not return there and not only can I absolutely not recommend it.

One of the best Restaurants in Zürich to eat an incredible Ramen! Tantamem either veggie or with meat is absolutely amazing! If you really like spicy food, I would recommend the 2 level of it, other wise the 1 level is spicy enough! You have “a discretion” water, you pay one time and get free refill, so pretty awesome too! The attention and service are friendly and helpful.

Tiptop no bauralac, rather expensive

Service and ambiance was nice. The ramen was not bad, but nothing to write home about. Only ramen I’ve had in Zurich so far, but out of all the places I’ve been throughout Europe, this one would be closer to being average than exceptional. Enjoyed it, but not sure if I’d come back. Still a decent place.

I think this is one of the most delicious ramen I've eaten overseas. The staff's response was also wonderful.

The ramen with sliced pork and fried squid were delicious. But my friend's vegetarian option with rice and gooey sauce doesn't look and taste great. In wiedikon was to cramp and to chairs at the bar were uneven height.

The joint is very busy on a Friday night - book in advance if you decide to eat here. We were initially served a pork dish instead of the chicken katsu we had clearly ordered on the menu. The staff quickly apologised and rectified the situation. We ordered a side of rice (which was unflavoured and unsalted), agadashi tofu (I have certainly had better), chicken karaage which was more like battered chicken then crunchy/spicy. When we received the chicken katsu, it was crispy and hot. Chicken was flavourful.
