The falafel plate was beautifully presented and everything was very tasty. Staff very friendly. I will definitely go there again.

Lamb plate. Very good. The lamb was close to being too hard/dry but was still good. The salad dressing was a bit too umami What tipped the scales for the rating was the bread included. All in all very good and definitely worth a visit again

A little expensive for what it was… I expect a little more from Lebanese food, a bit more flavour, diversity, creativity. Instead of what could be I received a few pickles and old chicken wraped in a bread. If you plan to go there, enter with low expectations!

The food was fine. We ate vegi mezze together with a starter and drank peppermint tea. There was enough of everything and it was tasty. The service was pleasant and the price-performance ratio was very good. I will recommend the Orient World.

If you are in Zürich and want to eat out on a budget this is place is awesome. The staff is really nice, the Lebanese food was really good and the portions plentiful. In a city where dining out is so expensive finding a place with fair prices and great food was a true godsend.

Dining at Orient World was a good way to end the day thanks to the wholesome and delicious food they served. Our wonderful hostess Sara was very helpful in recommending the right types as well as quantity of food. Her colleague (Mr Tatoo guy) was very friendly and entertaining.

Cheap, oriental food. In terms of price you really can't say, 10-20chf maximum per person. The food was great for me. I've had better shawarmas. Tea was great and the service was friendly. There was a large fan running which made noise for indoor consumption. But it wasn't particularly disturbing.

An optimal alternative for mensa food.

Very rude employee who blocks a public passageway and insults passers-by who use it in a way that could be construed as a threat. This is unacceptable. In addition, the quality of the food is average to poor. I had a salad with an inedible dressing. Orient Catering is around the corner and much tastier, as well as much friendlier. I think the neighborhood should support Orient Catering and avoid Orient World. Our neighborhood doesn't need a store that threatens passers-by.

Hummus is VERY good! I still have to try the rest.

By far the best mezze plate in the whole wide world. We've been eating here for years (before called orient catering) and have experienced non-comparable quality. Even in middle east, where we spent quite a long time, we couldn't find such a great food. So whenever you plan to go for orient food, this is the place to go. And by the way forget about cedre and similar competitors. They just can't keep up

A delicious Palestinian/Syrian restaurant, and the food, God willing, is abundant and fresh The people who worked there were nice once and gave us Palestinian falafel as a gift for us to taste. It was delicious and we asked for more of its deliciousness. We came before the Swiss National Day holiday. The weather was hot, but the sessions outside were shady and nice, so we sat there and ordered two chicken shawarma plates, a falafel and hummus plate, and two grill plates. We were 5 people, but the food was too much for us because the plates were large and full, so we had to leave the rest of the food because we had no place to put the food. The prices were okay compared to other restaurants in Switzerland I recommend it

You should review the taste of shawarma and falafel. In fact, there is much better taste than the shawarma served in your restaurant, and falafel is not eaten at all. Advice for you to improve your kitchen..

The food was cold, stale and sour, and the shawarma was too oily. I paid the money, but I didn't like the food.

Unfortunately the dishes are not as described on the menu. The taste is okay - but nothing more. However, the falafel plate is really very good.

Today we went to eat at Orient Word for the first time. The food was inedible and had a very strange taste, like it was spoiled, and it was also way too expensive.

I have tried several of their sandwiches for takeaway and they are so so so good! The pita bread is fantastic, the meat tender and the sauces (yogurt?) together with the salad ingredients give the sandwiches such freshness. The guys that work there are friendly and professional.

The food is better in the original restaurant (orient catering), which is only 50m away

Shawarma only comes with meat, small portion, expensive, very greasy, very unfriendly! Added: In other restaurants, a shawarma comes with many different ingredients as standard, but here unfortunately only meat is possible.

Most authentic mediterranean dishes I've tried in Zurich! Their meat dish is fresh and full of flavor (and not burnt), their shawarma is crispy and delicious, their mezza dishes are amazing, you can't go wrong with any (i order extra to take home for the next day), you feel their middle eastern hospitality and it's obvious they love what they do. I eat there twice a week... love it! Even my doggy went back (unfortunately they were closed haha) A big THANK YOU to the team for the effort and love you put into the food for us!

There are many different reviews here on google maps about this place. In our opinion: it is great! It is a small simple restaurant with delicious food. Especially the Schawarma! The menu is small but with everything you „need“ :) The staff is kind and we felt welcome. We will definitely come back.

I had the Falafel and it was one with just a tomato onion salsa and no sauce.. Moreover the staff didn't looked motivated, what I somehow beliefe to be able to taste =(

Takeaway very bad. Flatbread carelessly rolled up, everything fell out at the bottom. I read through reviews. Owner not open to criticism, comments disrespectful and unprofessional. It's a shame when you can't admit your own mistakes and weaknesses. So it becomes difficult to improve.

You’re above average orient food place with a great selection and friendly waiter. If your only visiting for the day I would recommend you try Raclette instead.

We are from the US but travel in the Middle East frequently. My wife had the falafel platter and I the chicken shawarma platter. The falafel balls were excellent. The showarma is slow cooked meat on a vertical spit. The chicken is all dark meat and really good. I loved it. The sides of baba ganush, humus , French fries and salad all good. The pitas were the thin kind (were good though I prefer the thick kind. The interior was pleasant, clean and nicely decorated. We’ll be back.

I was looking for a place to eat today, saw this was open and walked there for 15min. Google maps said it's open, the writing on the window said it's open, the sign on the door said it's open. It wasn't open...

The guy that served me added pickles on the shawarma with his bare hands which was gross, then he also let it way too long on the stove, resulting in a hot mess and the sauce becoming too liquid. The chicken meat inside was undercooked. Overall a bad experience.
