Pâtisserie Ducret SA in Genève

The pastries are excellent, it's hard to find a good pastry in Geneva and here it's all there. Too bad there is no terrace.

I posted an excellent review 12 months ago. But I had a very bad experience in December. I ordered a surprise bread (85F) which was unfortunately largely inedible, because it was made with a sweet preparation, which went very poorly with the salmon, cheese etc. I wrote to Ducret, and never received a response. It's very disappointing. I give 3 stars for the very nice salespeople, but 0 stars for the lack of response to the email....

I buy the birthday chocolate cake yesterday, and it was delicious! (August 2023) Update (31 December 2023): We are the loyal customer now! They have the best black forest cake according to us! (gateau foret noir in French) Luar biasa enaknya! 😍 the black forest cake for 4 persons will cost you around 34 CHF, but it’s worth the money. If you’re in Geneva, buy the chocolate and cake here, it’s better than laderach, cailler, sprungli etc

Unreliable organization. Birthday cake ordered Wednesday by phone in Rive, for this Saturday afternoon at the Hoffmann store, ask me for my phone just in case And this Saturday no cake in my name at the said complete zapage store! Only one similar cake remained Russian roulette is not my type Plus the type of iced pink red cake ordered which is on their website they haven't done it for more than 5 years, not very honest all that! There had already been a precedent for an organizational blunder Took a croissant, presented well, but not good at all, bland, mushy Don't know how to make sweet pastries In small catered sandwiches better You should have the honesty to compare your pastries with what can be done well in France Completely change the way of managing and producing pastries

Extremely impolite saleswoman ....so rude and condescending in helping me to identify the cakes I wanted to order . No clue what they tasted like since I offered them as a gift , but just just for the service alone (or lack thereof) I would hesitate about returning.

And your shortbread is perfect, crunchy on the palate! We knew you - my wife and I working in the neighborhood - already when you started in 2004 and we witnessed your accomplishment! We've been getting cocktails and desserts from Ducret for several years, always excellent. We highly recommend.

I bought 1 slice of pistachio pâté with foie gras in the middle. Good but part foie gras with good texture but little taste. I really regret that the saleswoman packed the slice in a simple paper bag, so that when we got home the bag was soggy because of the jelly and the slice was in several pieces. It would be the least to provide adequate packaging with a glossy paper separation sheet.

Selling thousand leaves from the day before on Sunday morning is not worthy of a self-respecting pastry shop.

Lots of choice and everything I tasted was very good. Many people recommend this place and so do I. Excellent fruity and chocolate desserts! They also have a dessert with double Gruyère cream for those with a sweet tooth.

The best Saint Honoré, a dark chocolate cake filled with lightly salted ground pistachios, one with mascarpone and caramelized hazelnut... divine! And it offers unique savory items: crayfish croissant, at the time there were even small baskets of puff pastry with perch fillet. And its croissants that melt in your mouth (there are also raspberry croissants). Thank you Mr. Ducret for exalting our palate for years :-)

Brilliant craftsmanship, pick anything, it will be nice. NB pastries and bread in particular are best when fresh. My Favorite is the cereal baguette and chocolate croissants. Deserts and sandwiches are awesome too.
