Dissapointing service and poor quality bubble tea.

As a used customer, I am quite disappointed with the atmosphere and the service, apart from the manager, the two Asian employees are absolutely not nice. He speaks very sharply, asks me to say my order without them even writing on their iPad and then asks me to repeat because they forgot the order. And even they let me put my order in the bag alone, it's not up to me to do it

Late Sunday afternoon, I decide by default to go to Pearl Tea and not Montea which is closed. Each customer always has a 50/50 chance of finding a friendly and qualified employee. This time I ran into an employee who was not friendly or patient and left to the back before we even finished telling him our full order. He then very vaguely transmitted the order to another colleague who was at the back and who did not understand that I wanted my hot drink but according to her it was too late to make another one. Moreover, as is unfortunately too often the case, the tapiocas are just not up to par. As I know that pearl tea is a bad student when it comes to tapiocas, I asked to receive the “Sugar Brown” as an extra and was then told that it was not necessary…. fake! The preparation of tapioca is never successful and is never coated with brown sugar as specified. The drink was absolutely terrible and I had to throw it away after trying as hard as I could to sip it. It is surprising all the same, that the service and quality of the bubble tea is not the same depending on the employee in front of us. There is real progress to be made here on the part of PEARL because in the meantime it only gives one desire… to stay/go to the competition! Beautiful evening

We were excited to try a boba place in Geneva as we hadn't found any as good as the ones in California. The boba bubbles were good but the tea was not. The milk tea was watered down with not much flavor.

I loved everything, my nieces who are specialists in bubble tea really appreciated it. The person who served us was very friendly, the bubble tea and tapioca pearls were delicious, quality ingredients, I highly recommend. Very nice stop to quench your thirst while visiting the old town of Geneva.

My husband and I were just taking a stroll in Geneva when we noticed this beautiful pink bubble tea store and thought we had to give it a try. And I’m so glad we did! We ordered their matcha latte with tapioca pearls. The pearls were sweet and chewy, not bland and soggy like the ones we had from a local stall (we’re from Scotland by the way). We were served by a pretty young lady called Emina. She was so friendly and genuinely nice to all her customers. 10/10 would recommend this place to bubble tea lovers and even those who’ve never had bubble tea. Visited on: 29 June 2023

Our kids really wanted bubble tea. The small shop was full and yet the friendly lady behind the counter took her time and had patience to explain the system and the combinations to us so that we had a full experience. Excited by the quality and service, we went back the next day. - We will make our next visit to Geneva.

I was craving bubble tea and was not disappointed. It was tasty and the location is cute. Big plus for the possibility to personalise the drink in terms of amount of ice, hot/cold, and sweetness.

Unfortunately I couldn't drink it and had to throw it away, because the person who served me gave me a ton of sugar... 8 and some in the trash... great!!

As someone with moderate lactose intolerance, we offer lactose-free milk, soy milk, and almond milk! Large pearl Q-bomb type, the tea flavor is fragrant but light, and it belongs to the European rather than Asian mixed-race type of milk. The handsome clerk at Xiaoxianrou recommends the original Assam milk. If you like tea with a strong tea flavor, I don’t recommend it. The light-flavored version is the main one. If you like tea with a strong tea flavor, I recommend another lemoncha. It is one of the stores in Geneva that is open on Sundays (because most of them are not open on Sundays)

Disappointed.. only found out after lining up so long that they don’t have tapioca for my milk tea. The oolong teA has no flavour as I could only taste the milk and the colourful fruity popping balls…not a happy customer

I got the chocolate bubble tea, intensity is far less than what bubble tea shops serve in London but this place is not bad and is found in Old Town Edit: the branch near Geneve Train station is much better

There was a queue... which means it is good and we were not disappointed. Clean, airy, smells amazing. The staff were professional... friendly enough though the young lady needs to work on her smile. The flavors and choice were just right. I enjoyed my Chai and I would recommend.

The bubble tea didn’t taste at all like original Asian bubble tea. If you serve some europeanised version, you should say so on your menu! Staff doesn’t really know their art: 1.Tapioca was sweetened with brown sugar instead of authentic 黑糖 and the sweetness was pretty low, mostly distinct brown sugar flavour without the sweetness came through. 2. The teas were supposed to be hot. Both had ice in it. 3. Staff was annoyingly upselling some really awful artificial-tasting syrup for one of our teas. Never seen or tasted anything like that anywhere in Asia.

The service was very nice, however among two Brown Sugar Bubble Teas one was really dense and therefore quite heavy, but gladly try the experience again for a new flavor.

Good stuff, tasty, relatively fast all good enjoy ask for medium size small is too little, sugar is not needed for matcha or taro. Happy to see they have taro matcha like in Taiwan. Basically is the same stuff than taiwan but in old town geneva in a little street. Have it and then you go to scroll around old town or to the lake or university park.. all is good. Enjoy

First time I had bubble tea so I can't compare, but it was good! Actually took the matcha latté with tapioca. Interesting flavors!

Disappointed, two crucial things messed up: 1. They mixed up the sweetness in both our drinks making the wrong one fully sweet and the wrong one without any sugar. 2. The Oolong milk tea I ordered turned out to be only milk. I even asked them before opening if it’s really Oolong because the drink looked so white! Very disappointing when you wait for 20+ minutes in line and pay more than 7CHF per drink. The positive thing I can mention is that the Tapioca pearls are very good. Great chewiness and taste.

Located at the entrance to the old town of Geneva, I received a warm welcome. The service was quality and a taste experience was there, I highly recommend the detour.

Interesting how this place has 50 reviews of which only 1 gives less than 5 stars. The other reviewers only have 1 or 2 reviews each. Draw your own conclusions. Now my review. I had earl gray milk tea. The tea was much too weak so the drink basically tasted like watered down milk. I lived in Asia long enough to know what bubble tea should taste like. Tapoica pearls were good though. Hope they can improve, might try again in a few months.
