Great service, fast and a lovely view right next to the lake. Amazing spot to have drinks... didn't try the food though

Simple, cool, perfect location on a sunny day. Food is simple but ok.

Not a huge fan but it might also be an individual preference. Never had a great experience with their service and food. But the location is great.

Everything was fine. Fast service, prices ok and very nice view.

Waited long. Then the food was forgotten and only the drinks were delivered. After asking, they said the pork sausage would come straight away. Waited again. Then a veal sausage was brought. Wait again. They also didn't have time to clear away the previous guests. It probably took 20 minutes

It's always nice on nice evenings, and with a little patience you can find a place. Food fine. Unfortunately, I had to adjust the old rating after the most recent visit (beginning of September 2023). How come? The boss in charge for the evening (the actual deputy manager of the pumping station was just off work) doesn't seem to be dependent on guests here... You simply don't feel welcome with him. No "Grüezi" or "Adieu" (even though he passed us when we arrived and clearly saw us get up from the table). Clearing tables is not his thing (takes about 2 wine glasses from a table full of used dishes and then doesn't come back...). Treats people looking for a table rudely, sometimes reaches over the person's plate while looking for menu cards and seems rather listless for the rest of the evening. The rest of the staff are nice and try hard, but it seems as if they are constantly having to iron out the manager's oversights. Instead of running the store in a supportive manner, helping guests find seats, or clearing away when you see that the staff isn't keeping up, it's better to hang out at a table in the back (see more reviews below!). Unfortunately for the employees. Dear Péclard group, this man does not belong in this great place. After a written exchange with Michel Péclard (many thanks for taking the trouble to answer me in detail!), I “adjusted” the review again.

Close to a very charming promenade. Exclusive, dignified and tasty. A nice place worth visiting.

Wonderful view, but the staff was very unfriendly and literally shouted at me because I closed a parasol. I also had to correct the bill because I was initially charged for too many drinks.

It is ideal to enjoy an aperitif by the lake.

Were there when the weather was nice, there was a lot going on, there was a lot to look at. Food and service simple but very pleasant.

Totally disaster. Officiant was absolutely incompetent. He said that we ordered extra meals, but we didn't.

Terrible Service. Total chaos when ordering. We've been kept hostage for paying stuff we clearly didn't order because their service is confused beyond comprehension.

It's in a good location, on the lake shore. The food is delicious. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. I wanted to pay, I told one of the waiters and he signaled for silence. The other waiter didn't even pay attention to us. In the end, we were able to pay by one of the girls coming to clear the table and me letting her know. In the hospitality industry, such arrogant behavior does not lead to good results.

Was simply ignored at the grill when ordering to take away. People served in front of me and behind me, and when I asked, I was still ignored. No apology or anything like that when I said I would like to order too. After I ordered, the food for the others who ordered after me was delivered again before me. Very unfriendly and derogatory. It doesn't work at all. Middle-class food, loveless, unfriendly service. Better to take something from somewhere else :-(

The cappuccino was tiny and half was just foam, and the whole thing for 6 francs! That was my first and last time here. I advise everyone to avoid this place and the rip-offs.

Really nice atmosphere on a summer night. I was surprised at how tasty the salad (and sauce) was! So good!

I was there last Saturday with a friend for a bite to eat and a drink. When no fork was served with the portion of fries, I went to the grill and asked for a fork. Communication with the service staff was difficult because she did not speak German or English. I had the feeling that people didn't want to understand me. After a short while, another service worker (as it later turned out he was the deputy manager), who was taking a break near the grill, started laughing loudly about the situation. When I explained the situation to our waiter, he said that he received frequent complaints about these two people and that he himself had difficulties with them. So I can only confirm the arrogance that was already perceived here. I will never visit the store again.

Service employees receive 16,500 CHF per month, never tip in Zurich again, thanks NZZaS. Avoid all Peclard businesses!

Bar on the lakeside promenade in Zurich. Very pleasant view of the lake. I can't comment on the food because we only had drinks. I recommend this place, you can relax for a while and watch people walking. I also managed to listen to street musicians.

Getting a free table on a beautiful summer evening is just a matter of luck and we were lucky to get a free table for two. Service arrived quickly to take the drink order. The sausage and cheese salad (WKS) was tasty and the evening flew by with the cheesy sunset.

Prices incorrectly declared on the website

The food was very good but VERY EXPENSIVE 37.50 FOR A FAKELSPIESSS OMG!!!! 4 drinks and 2 times these torches 113fr and although the restaurant was open until 11 p.m. and the weather was perfect, they opened at 10 p.m. :) but otherwise it was great :) Conclusion: “Flop for food and great for drinking “. And we were banished after half an hour even though our drinks weren't ready yet. Hopefully you don't plan on drinking a glass of wine with pleasure - you don't have time.

There was only a grill. The large skewer, which won't fill you up, with a roll costs CHF 37.50. Certainly enjoyable but really nothing special. At Chilbi you can get the same thing for a maximum of CHF 20. The staff is unfriendly and sends you away 45 minutes before closing time because there isn't much going on. Completely unacceptable for a consumption of CHF 113 at a better snack stand. Never again! German is only spoken in broken form.

The service and ambience were good, but the food was subpar, the veal sausage was dry and the skin was inedible. The Bürli was also tough, dry and obviously thawed. The potato salad was ok, but the taste was average.

Male waiters were extremely rude, they forgot our order 2 times even though there were only 7 tables filled, very unaccomodating. If you can, try to take order from women weitres. Also Food is so so. Too salty and too oily

Laid-back pub with typical small dishes (burgers, sausages, fries, etc) and a big choice of drinks. Price-wise it's typical Zürich... It can get very full on some afternoons, but that's the appeal - it's exactly on the most popular lakeside quai, but if you go around 4-5pm there's usually a place to sit. So keep it spontaneous...

The view is of course amazing, but that is all you have here. Food is just fine and the service is slow. I have been here many times and will surely return, but only because it is handy.

Service is (mostly) friendly and personable. unfortunately very unprofessional, slow and inattentive. I asked for a little more sour cream three times for the baked potatoe, but when it finally came, the potatoe was already cold. I find chf 7.50 for a fart dry potatoe totally unsexy 🤷🏻‍♂️ unfortunately this increases in frequency at the péclard locals…

Location unbeatable. The grilled vegetables would be great, but there was too much (hot) spice for me. I like the vegetables the way they originally taste, which is a shame.

The location is top. The service itself is not that good. Fries were served separately and without a main course. Unfocused and inattentive. Meat skewers, a little potato salad (floating in the sauce), a roll, 2x beer in the total of CHF 70.- Not possible. Won't go there again.

catastrophe We had a drink today at around 2 p.m. A young, “very” arrogant young lady served us. I politely asked if I could have two sugars with my coffee. She simply ignored me and ran away even though I called after her: Helloooooo I then went to the front and asked what that was about????!!! She just continued to ignore me and acted as if nothing was happening. Later another waiter brought me the sugar. She continued to serve the others and acted very arrogantly! I will never drink anything there again!!!!!

Price-performance ratio is a rip-off. The service was terrible for us. People stood so they could finally pay.

Brilliant place but a lot of people

The worst service ever. The waiter sent us away without even talking to us. We had a table and as one of our friends wanted to join us they told us we have to leave because we were more then 3 people. Worst customer service in town. They have such a good location so they think they can treat people like dogs. Not recommended at all.

Nice location ar the lake but horrible service. I took me 4 tries to ask 4 waiters for mayonnaise to the french fries and finally it didn't work out. At one point they said, that the kitchen closed without even simple "sorry" ot trying to make an effort to apologize. They are obviously spoiled here having customers anyway so they don't care. It's a pity.

Unfortunately Baba (Hospital) wasn't there. It took a while until the waitress noticed me, unfortunately the sausage inside was only lukewarm, but the fries were hot and fresh and good, thank you.

Very rude, disrespectful, unprofessional and disorganized service. We waited at the table for 20 minutes and asked the server if they could take our order. We were cheekily ignored twice. After 20 minutes we went to the front to order the drinks. They said we should order from the grill, which we did. No signs, it doesn't say where.. Guy at the grill calculates the prices in his head and puts the card machine far away from us and we gasp because we didn't know we could already pay. He then had to type in the drinks again and was annoyed. When we served them, we said they should serve the drinks in a glass instead of a cup. They didn't... 3 people talked to us: "You definitely didn't wait 20 minutes - I would have seen you." You are so restless. You have to wait at the front of the table for drinks and orders.” Hello? Even if you're stressed, you can remain friendly and say, I'll come later - but definitely not like that. At the end (approx. 1 hour) a woman asked us why we had “To Go”, ie in a plastic cup, at the table & tried to discuss with us again and told my colleague “You are lying”. I described the whole situation to her again. She ignored everything and became disrespectful.

Oh well. The service has always not been the ultimate but they always manage to hire even more unqualified, forgetful, work-shy and overwhelmed staff. No wonder customers run away after 15 minutes of trying to get the bill without paying... this is also reflected in the prices...

Unfortunately there are no zero stars, otherwise I would give it (despite the good location on the lake). Service is a foreign concept, unfriendly, disorganized and slow (the waiting time today was 50 minutes for something to drink, I've been here several times before and otherwise very slow, but that's a new negative record).

Cool, very cool and relaxed, for a moment of relaxation in company in front of the lake with a summer atmosphere, street musicians, very nice.

The restaurant and the location are great, but this year the service, at least so far, is simply not good and not worthy of this awesome location! Waiters who fight over tables in front of guests, ordered drinks that are forgotten several times and waiters who would rather take care of the young female guests than be interested in our repeat orders. Sorry, but there are other places to enjoy a beer by the lake...
