Beautiful spot and fantastic comfort food! Even the bathrooms are nice. We loved the pretzels, sausages and rosti here.

Fantastic brewery despite being in a very touristy area. Restaurants in the region don’t tend to have great beers on tap so this was a much needed beer break for us.

A great place for the typical cuisine and a wonderful view. This brewery is situated right in front of the river and has its own production. I’ve tasted the amber ale and it was great! The rosti potato with sausage is also a must try. The server Tiago did a really great job and was guided us through the menu brilliantly.

We had a company outing, we were 11 adults and 2 children (ages between 10 and 69). Lunch in such a nice restaurant. Very good choice. Food was very good, beer was excellent. Service was friendly and attentive. Definitely recommendable.

I went because I heard the beer was delicious. Two glasses of beer per menu, 2 people ate, the portion was just right, and the beer wasn't as delicious as I thought, but it was nice. The chicken was tender and the fries were delicious.

We sent friends for drinks in a beautiful place. Place it is, but quality 0. Te, pale after 10 min of holding, taste = straw. Friends refused to drink coffee, unfortunately we had to change places to offer something again to our friends from (Cuba, Morocco and Switzerland). Sin .

We spend a lot of time at the Rathaus brewery in Lucerne and eat there regularly. But now I just have to give some feedback. Twice the food was so-so. Chicken not good, was so rancid. Was waived by the boss as a gesture of goodwill. Today after a long craving for spaetzle pan. Disappointment; too strongly seasoned and more of a vegetable pan than a spaetzle pan. That's really a pity. And we come several times a week.

Anyone who likes it hearty and hearty will be happy here. Plus the location on the Reuss with a view of Kappellbrück and the water tower - what more could you want?

I visited during last summer and it was just a lovely restaurant with delicious food and great staff. The beer was tasty and I feel the price wasn’t crazy priced compared to other places we ate at.

Loved their beers and roasted chicken ! Other food items we tried weren’t that great. Servers were always in a hurry and it was difficult to place order

I could have a very pleasant meal. I ordered pork chop and sausage, and both were very delicious. Pork chop was especially soft and delicious. I had both dark and light versions of craft beer and it was delicious. The service along with the food was so kind and touching. My son is young but he was able to eat well and play well in the restaurant thanks to the service.

Had the special of the day and it was really good. My wife had the chicken and the sauce was bangin'... Seasonal beer was on point as well. Enjoyed it thoroughly.. Thanks!

Looking for a great beer and a great view on the city center of Luzern and the Reuss river, don’t look further and enjoy the Rathaus Brauerei. Also the food is great too by the way. The ‘Spezialbier’ is delicious, and I will be back to taste the other beers as well. Please leave a thumbs up/like if you think this review was useful.

A charming brewery & restaurant. Food & drinks are delicious, however priced a bit higher than expected, probably due to the restaurant’s fantastic location. If you wish to splurge on local produce & flavours while enjoying stunning views in Luzern, this is the perfect place.

It being a January event we ate inside. The restaurant is a really pleasant environment. After some excellent table bread we ate farmer’s sausage with a superb rustic rosti [10/10] and the Thurs night special of ham cooked in a bread roll with an exemplary mixed salad (Homer Simpson: ‘you don’t win friends with salad’. With this one you do) [9/10]. We drank Christmas special beer that was wonderfully delicious and potent, and a fine Cabernet. The staff were friendly, impressively efficient and kindly spoke perfect English. Our dog was welcomed to join us quietly in the restaurant and provided with water, though he too would have enjoyed the pork and beer no doubt. 100% would recommend.

Racist staff, raising their voice and spoke to us as if we’re idiots. Horrible experience and honestly a blessing in disguise as we found a better option , La Terrazza, around the corner. Not recommended for tourists.

I did not even get to dine in at this restaurant. Waiter was VERY RUDE to us. We asked for a table for 6 and was asked to look for our own table since its free seating. Waiter came to our table and rudely asked us ‘Why do you think there is no menu on this table? This table is closed for a reason’. Mind you, we’re tourist and not local to Luzern. And we did ask for a table for six. Restaurant guest sitting next to our table felt bad for us and asked us to join their table instead but we’re not spending our money at a restaurant that treated us like trash.

A local couple recommended us this restaurant. We had no reservation and the restaurant was fully booked. The waiter asked us to find a table outside (first come first serve), after a few minutes they found us a table inside the restaurant. We ordered long rib pork chop and local trout and it was very tasty and incredibly juicy. The waiter that served us was very bubbly and gave us good explanation about the menu and good recommendations. House beer was pretty good. Overall experience was exceptional.

I happened to be in Lucerne for a day. It’s a must-go! Great atmosphere, very helpful, friendly and talkative personnel, delicious food. I really enjoyed my time there.

We came for Lunch. Greeted by 1 pleasant waitress who brought us to our table, she was very nice. Enjoyed the food and the restaurant had lovely medieval vibes inside.

I've visited this place twice and loved it on both occasions. It stands out as one of the few tourist attractions that genuinely feels authentic, both in atmosphere and taste. I highly recommend enjoying a beer and pretzel here, regardless of the weather.

Help out when you have no idea where to eat. Be careful not to get scammed, they do everything to make you pay more. So pay attention to the note and especially to specify the keys of your drink!

I've been there several times. Even though they close at 12 midnight, they often want to close early. They want to cash in quickly and throw the guests out. The new service boss is indecent and rude.

Even considering Europe, the food was okay except that it came out really late... I came alone and it took almost 35 minutes to get one plate. There were no people... not recommended for those who don't have much time... I also came on a day trip and ate here for almost an hour. The server was friendly and the food was good! If you ask for ketchup and hot sauce together, it tastes much better.

I was only once, the dishes are delicious, the portions are quite large. There is a place on the terrace with a great view and with a covered part, a hall inside and a bar counter. The service is very pleasant. Beer! The beer is delicious!

Half of Apfelstrudel 17e!! What a scam! In fancy austrian ski resort Sölden, you get a proper portion (nor sliced in half!!!) for 8e… terrible! To restaurant owner, correct this asap! The whip cream is cheap canned garbage, and nothing is really special about this dessert!

Fantastic food, great ambiance and the service was nice. We sat outside in November and they have blankets that you can use to stay warm. The food is traditional and so tasty, only a few beers on tap but they hit the spot.

Let me start by saying we were super happy with the quality of the food they serve here. We didn’t expect much coming into this restaurant and just wanted a good warm meal for late lunch. We got the pork chop, the roasted chicken (we opted for rice) and the sausages, and let me tell you - all four of us were more than happy with the delicious food! To cap it off the amber and the cloudy beer were perfect to cap off such a good meal. I am already looking forward to go back. Cheers! 🍻

Good beer, good atmosphere, beautiful view

Perfect location to grab a drink and some food. There were two beers on tap- both of which I enjoyed. I only snacked on the pretzel and cheese pie which were filling and good quality. The outdoor space has a stunning view of the mountains and had blankets available for the chilly weather.

Was there for the first time. We had our company team meal and were warmly welcomed. A long row of tables for two was reserved for us with a short gap in between. Being crammed very tightly together, you could hardly move to eat. The salad was beautifully prepared and tasted excellent. Unfortunately I couldn't say the same about the Cordonbleu that followed. The presence on the plate alone left a lot to be desired. The cheese was very soggy and tasted like nothing and the tagliatelle served with it was too dry for my taste. The carrots didn't really have much flavor either. The dessert, on the other hand, was again beautifully presented and tasted delicious and made my evening a little sweeter. All in all: TOP service Main course FLOP Ambience not bad but not recommended for company events.

Very well located restaurant with good food. It is perhaps the only good thing to say, because the attention is delayed, the service is slow, the waiters are not very attentive, also when seeing that we were foreigners and requested payment in euros, the waiter who served us made the wrong change in favor of euro. He, one understands that if you don't arrive with the local currency they will charge you a little more for the change but this happened and we had to accept it because we didn't have francs. It was really abuse. Possibly not only the restaurant did not find out because they would have given them the change correctly and earned their extra... they have a lot Be careful, this is not only seen in the third world, it happened to me in Switzerland.

Server was asking for a tip. Weird. She said Switzerland restaurants are based on tipping. What a shame!

This is the best place to eat while traveling in Europe. The staff are also friendly. For Korean tastes, this place is the best. My husband, who is a picky eater, raved about it. Don’t worry, come here~~!! In particular, the nice blue-haired (green-haired) woman was so kind. Leave Lucerne on the last day in good spirits.

Hello, We arrived around 9.15am and as per the website it was closing 10.30pm we order their home brewed beer which they recommended lager or amber, tried both and they were good Lager was just super must try For vegetarian there are limited options but good. Tried their Rosti and it was really good Only disappointment was the server started to wind up outside table and chairs at 10am, The place was busy at 10am for Lucerne

Great location along the river/lake. It was very busy so we sat in the bar area. The bartenders were very kind and attentive. We tried both their beers and loved the lager. The rotisserie chicken was the best chicken I have ever tasted. Full of flavor, perfect moisture and crispy exterior. Rosti was crisp and full of flavor which paired nicely with the sweet onion gravy. Amazing place all around

Come here very often with friends and family. Food is good but very expensive. Staff very unfriendly also changes very often.

Very nice place and well located. The best thing about the restaurant for me. Typical menu with several local dishes. Online price in the area. Slow service, not very friendly and always in a hurry. Bad experience because I am celiac. I sent an email the day before asking if they could make gluten-free food for me and they said no problem, that they could adapt several dishes. When I got there, I asked the waitress and she showed no interest in helping me. He simply told me that I could eat 1 dish from the entire menu. Chicken with white rice. A disaster. Besides, it seemed like my questions bothered him.

When I refused to comply with another guest's request to join, the server called me "not beautiful"... Why force me to do your favor when it’s not your obligation? Please consider whether it is “beautiful” to respond unkindly due to high demand.

Went outside the brewery and wanted to have a quick beer. Unfortunately no waiter came for a long time. Only when I asked at the corner how this was regulated did someone come. Beer tastes great. Service still needs improvement

I made a reservation and visited. Although they cannot guarantee a terrace seat in the reservation email, they said they would provide a terrace seat if a terrace space became available, so I visited, but when I arrived on time, they told me that the terrace seat was a walk-in and that I could find a seat, and they didn't even care. The taste is mediocre, but it seems to be an overrated restaurant among Koreans.

There was a wait, so I waited as instructed and then took a seat. However, I was very displeased because the female employee forced me to join the table and when I refused, she scolded me as if admonishing me.

Disappointing. After a "wheat beer foam soup", which was more like a bland flour soup, a successful cordon bleu with lightly seasoned noodles followed. My wife had ordered a homemade meatloaf that was really tasty. The potato salad served with it was floury - any store-bought one tastes better. For a brewery, the selection of its own beers is rather limited. Unfortunately, the beautiful location and the vaulted cellar couldn't make up for our disappointment.

The food is allright, the location is amazing, but I am disappointed, as after I complained, that I found a bunch of hair in my food, I still had to pay for it and they didn't even offer any compensation. I miss the allergens on the menu card.

Beautiful view from terrace. Nice options in menu and good food. Absolutely delicious beer. While we were treated quite nicely, the table next to us didn’t get a same treatment. Other than that a nice place.

We went on a Saturday night and it was really crowded, but we managed to get a table next to the river. The view from the Kappellbrücke is incredible. The beer and service are impeccable!

Perfect place on the water. Best rotisserie chicken we’ve ever had! Crisp potato wedges. Pretzel and mustard were delicious! We did also get the Apple dessert with ice cream. Unfortunately wasn’t warm, so we’d pass on it next time but the vanilla ice cream was divine.
