Im Zentrum von Bern. Lässig eingerichtet, zum Wohlfühlen. Der sehr freundliche und kompetente Service trägt viel dazu bei. Auf der Karte Klassiker mit einem Twist. Die gefüllten Ravioli mit Biss, die Aglio & Olio sehr pikant abgeschmeckt. Lecker! Verführerische Desserts, aromatischer Kaffee. Ein Blick nach draußen... müssen wir schon wieder weiter?

Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen: sehr angenehm gestylt (einige Lichtideen würde auch daheim toll wirken) und feine Atmosphäre. Beim Einstein-Bier wäre ich fast hängen geblieben!

Wir waren hier zum Mittagessen. Sehr angenehmes Lokal, ausgesprochen freundliche Bedienung und ausgezeichnete Speisen; und das zu absolut vernünftigen Preisen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Pedí chocolate caliente Einstein y no estaba caliente en absoluto, era más una leche caliente con chocolate, no la recomiendo en absoluto. Apfelstrudel también era algo así como no tenían salsa de vainilla, así que tuve que tomarla con helado. . . el helado fue en realidad lo mejor que probé allí.

Inusualmente para nosotros no desayunamos en el hotel y vinimos aquí. Servido por un personal muy amable, tuvimos un excelente desayuno ya un precio realmente razonable.

Our friends from Switzerland recommended us to visit this popular coffee house for different reasons and we are glad we heeded their advice. The coffee and cappuccino were excellent as were the two tasty deserts we ordered. The atmosphere of the coffee house is unique and we enjoyed it very much. Adding to the atmosphere is its location on the ground floor of the house where Einstein used to live. One would think at first this is a tourist trap but it is not; it is a great place to take a breather for some coffee or even order some food if hungry. Definitely worth a visit!

This place is right below Einstein House. We were initially skeptical, worried that this could be a gimmicky place riding on the location.But based on the good reviews, we gave it a try. We had warm coffee with milk and “Einstein” hot coffee which was basically coffee with 2 types of liquor (which I forgot). The “Einstein” coffee turned out really good! We both enjoyed it very much.The waiters were friendly and efficient, too.The seating area was comfy leather sofa, clean and pleasant.

Not sure if this was where Einstein used to pop out from his apartment for a cuppa, if not it would be a shame as this is a good place for a pit stop when visiting Bern and of course Einstein’s place. The people were friendly, the coffee fine, and is clearly used by locals, always a good sign. We stayed inside, not realising there is an open area through the rear.Unlike Einsteinhaus above, which is cash only, the cafe takes plastic as well. Recommended.

This cute little cafe is in the corner of Münsterplattform. Grab a coffee there and a blanket if the wind is blower and enjoy the view!

Nous avions choisi la terrasse car il faisait beau. Face à la cathédrale, dans une rue calme, très sympathique. Nous avons commandé une salade couscous avocat (14 CHF) mais la moitié des tranches d'avocat n'étaient pas mûres donc immangeables. Quand la serveuse est venue desservir, nous lui avons dit, elle nous a répondu "cela arrive" ! Donc nous nous sommes contentés de cette réponse.

Ich war auf der Suche nach einem warmen Kaffe und stiess in der schönen City von Bern auf dieses Kaffee. Der Cappuccino ist sensationell und die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Ich komme gern wieder.

Die Cafeteria im Teo Jakob wird vom Einstein Cafe in Bern betrieben. Man geht an die Bar und bestellt und wartet, und wartet. Wir warteteten 15 Minuten, auf einen mehr schlecht als rechten Cappuccino, der in einem Pappbecher serviert wurde. Das Einstein mit Zugang von der Kramgasse oder von der Münstergasse ist ein Bijou in der Altstadt von Bern. Da gehen wir immer wieder gerne hin. Das Team ist sehr gastfreundlich und aufmerksam, die Inneneinrichtung warm und gemütlich. Draussen kann man es sich unter den Lauben gemütlich machen. Wer sich hier tagsüber zum Kaffee einfindet, wird ein sehr gut besuchtes Lokal vorfinden. Drinnen wie draussen.Abends lohnt sich eine Reservation. Die Speisekarte ist klein, aber fein. Etwas überrascht hat uns jüngst die sehr reduzierte Weinkarte. OK, aber qualitativ nicht mehr so überragend. Früher war die Weinauswahl wirklich exzellent. Vielleicht nochmals eine Überlegung wert, liebes Einstein-Team?Unter dem Strich: Schön, dass es diese Location in Bern gibt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

J’ai mangé en semaine à midi, sur la terrasse sous les arcades, avec vue sur la cathédrale. Service rapide et aimable. Choix de plats restreint mais typique et bon. J’ai pris les saucisses / légumes / riz et c’était très bon. Le café est bon aussi. Les serveuses parlent français et anglais (et allemand, évidemment). Un bon choix pour un repas rapide et agréable !

Locale nel centro storico, proprio in corrispondenza della casa dove visse Einstein (c'è un piccolo museo). Più che un ristorante, è un posto dove fare uno spuntino o bere qualcosa. Comunque sufficiente per una cena leggera, a base di una selezione di formaggi. Prezzi nella media per il centro di Berna (quindi non bassi).

Great place to have a break, good service, cakes, coffee, etc. There is the Einstein beer that is a local brew and just shares the name. Interesting decor and there are two entrances and exits.

Super plek voor een uitstekende esspresso waarbij zoals het hoort een glaasje water wordt geserveerd. We zaten buiten met uitzicht over de rivier de Aare. Even weg van alle drukte in het centrum. Geweldige sfeer. Geen bediening op het terras, je moet het wel zelf halen. Esspresso kost er 4 chfr.

This is a good place for a cafe, light snacks and bar beverages. The venue is roomy and well appointed. It reminds me of someone’s nice library. Philomon was our server and let us sample some of their wines and beers. He was informative and patient with our order. Recommended if you go to the old town of Lucern. Also worth the trouble to try real local coffee and not Starbucks.

Es gibt wohl (fast) keinen schöneren Ausblick als von der Münsterplattform. Als wir den monatlich am ersten Samstag stattfindenden Handwerkermärit mal wieder besuchen wollten, freuten wir uns bereits auf ein "Kafi" im "Einstein Jardin" - es war kurz vor 09:00. Ein jüngerer Herr war am einräumen und ein älterer Herr fragte höflich, wann er denn öffnen werde. Der junge Mann antwortete mit "später" ... Sehr kundenfreundliche Antwort. Dabei hätte es gerade am "Handwerkermärit" viele Besucher oder Standbesitzer, die wohl gerne etwas getrunken und vielleicht sogar gegessen hätten. Sehr unflexibel und vor allem unhöflich - wir haben dann in der Nähe ein sympathisches Café gefunden. Das "Einstein Jardin" können wir nicht empfehlen.

Kleine ansprechende Speisekarte. Uns wurde auch eine halbe Portion des Tagestellers angeboten. Sehr gute Küche, frische Produkte alles selber hergestellt. Haupteingang in der Münstergasse. Sitzplätze unter den Lauben.

A pesar de estar detras de mi hija de 15 me ses en todo momento mientras ella caminaba en el cafe, cuidando de que no tocara nada, se acerco un camarero a decirme que mi hija no podia caminar porque entorpecia el trabajo de los camareros. Por lo cual a pesar de servir un buen cafe y los productos en general que sirven son buenos, no volvere y no lo recomiendo para familias.

We came for drinks and snacks to this wonderful café which also serves as a caterer to the famous Münsterplattform. Ein schönes ruhiges Café im Herzen von Bern lädt zum verweilen und rasten ein. Das Café ist gemütlich eingerichtet und das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Selbst Sonderwünsche (wie z.B. Tried to have lunch here today. After ordering cappuccinos and asking for the lunch menu the waitress left and returned with the menus. After looking at the menu which was in German, the waitress came back to take our order. We mentioned we didn't speak German. She simply walked off. A little while later she came back and said 'so?' I again mentioned that we weren't able to decipher the menu. She didn't offer to help at all. We decided not to order any food and to have the cappuccinos only. Shouldn't have bothered. Average coffee and grossly overpriced for the tiny cup.

Die Speisen sind frisch, gut und schön präsentiert, für den Preis ist die Portion aber etwas zu klein - auch für Frauen in der Mittagspause. Für regelmässigen Besuch würde es ca 2 zusätzliche, wechselnde Angebote brauchen.Das Lokal ist gut besucht, öfters auch von Politiker/innen.

Seit 5 Jahren assen wir d.h. meine Frau und ich, jeden Dienstagmittag im Einstein. Ich bin gehbehindert und das Café/Restaurant ist ebenerdig und für mich ideal. Da ich nicht lange stehen kann, reservieren wir immer. Reservieren sei jetzt nicht mehr möglich, wurde mir heute von einer arroganten, relativ unhöflichen, Mitarbeiterin am Telefon mitgeteilt. Ich könne ja vorbeikommen und schauen ob etwa frei sein. So kann man auch Stammkunden verlieren. Kundenpflege und Kundenfreundlichkeit sieht anders aus. Beat Haldimann

We tried to have lunch at this cafe, but the place was too crowded that we waited for a long time to be seated.The food had good quality but very less quintity. The ambiance was pleasant and we enjoyed being there with friends!

We stopped into Einstein Cafe for a little lunch. Had no idea of the history of this house. The food was very, very good. We had pasta (ordered off the menu and the chef did an excellent job. We both wanted pasta, oil, garlic with chili). Our waiter was very nice and provided great service. The coffees are very good as well. So glad we stopped in for something to eat.

Das Café ist sehr stylisch / schön eingerichtet und für einen Kaffee / Tee mit Dessert sehr gut geeogmet (sehr feine Desserts). Sie bieten aber auch Mittagessen an und hier ist die Auswahl etwas eingeschränkt – aber die Kochqualität ist dann in Ordnung(natürlich nicht auf dem gleichen Niveau wie in einem Restaurant). Der Service ist sehr freundlich und schnell.

We were passing through a beautiful garden in Bern, when we noticed this cafe right on the corner. It is located on the corner of a balcony style part, and you can see the whole city located on the bottom, and the river that passes there. Moreover they offer some great drinks, so if you add that to an astonishing location, you get a place absolutely worth to visit!

We came for it famous location in the old town. The interior is nice and cozy. The waitress however was really rude.We had to find our own table, as she told us there was no space for us with a baby. Luckily another much friendlier co-worker accommodated us. I ordered beef tartar, and it was really good. Generally the ambience and food were good, we do recommend this cafe, but you gotta hope this waitress has her day-off.

Po zwiedzeniu sali tradycji schodami w dół wszedłem do kawiarni. Miła i pomocna obsługa zaproponowała pyszną kawę i ciasto. Lokal wprawdzie skromny ale panuje tu wyjątkowa atmosfera. Można tu chwilę odpocząć i się zrelaksować.

Been here twice, I like it very much because of the atmosphere, coffee and service. The staffs can speak good English and as well other languages. However, I didn't like the lunch I had last time, a bit over-cooked. Well~ nevertheless, suggest you to have a cup of coffee (or beer) there.

Wir kommen hier und machen dies unser erster Halt immer wenn wir das nächste Mal in Bern. Der Kaffee ist ausgezeichnet und die Angestellten sind sehr fröhlich. Das Essen ist auch sehr verlockend.

Die Lage hoch über der Aare in der Ecke der an und für sich schon alleine sehenswerten Münsterplattform lässt einen in Gedanken schweben. An sonnigen Vormittagen DER Place um Bücher zu schreiben, Schach zu spielen oder mit fremden, intelligenten Menschen spontane Gespräche zu führen.

我們有三個人，大家對自己點的蛋糕跟飲料很滿意，服務也蠻好的，英文也可以通。蛋糕都在櫃臺的櫥窗裡，先看好再回位子點餐，飲料則有menu。隔壁就是Einstein博物館但我們因時間考量決定放棄。

Immer wieder gerne! Das Einstein gehört zu meinen Stammlokalen in Bern. Super Riesling, zuvorkommender Service und feine Plättli.

Wirklich coolen Lage und schöne Gegend in der Stadt . Freundliches Personal und wirklich lecker Espresso. Ich mochte dies schnell halten, sich eine Latte. Mein Mann bestellte Haus Eistee das war ausgezeichnet! Ein toller Stopp um Süßigkeiten und Kaffee .
