The food was super tasty. A great experience to enjoy this wonderful meal with friends at a table with your hands! The service was very pleasant and always looked after the well-being of the guests. We'll definitely be back!

It was our first time eating Eritrean food and we all loved it! We took the Dhalak Special Platter, which was incredibly delicious! The portions were huge and all the dishes were really very good. The location wasn't anything special but the food was definitely convincing.

The food was incredibly tasty and came in great quantity accompanied by rich sauces, it was thoroughly delightful! Definitely recommendable and a must go when visiting Olten!

We were at Dahlak on Christmas Eve and had an excellent Eritrean meal and then enjoyed a fabulous Eritrean, freshly roasted coffee. Also very pleasant to use. We can highly recommend this understated restaurant. What we ate? The compilation of Eritrean specialties for four people.

The food was absolutely delicious! It was my first time eating Eritrean food and I was very impressed with it. This is probably also because, as a vegetarian, I don't have very high expectations of a non-vegetarian restaurant...It's all the more pleasing when I find so many delicious variations of plant proteins! The service was super friendly and personable. Thank you very much for the warm-hearted smile 😀. The price was surprisingly low. At first I thought she had forgotten to include the starter. The atmosphere was quite okay. A lower lamp above the dining tables would definitely be well received 😉. In the future I will probably have to allow a little more time when changing in Olten 😂😂😂

Very nice food, never had Eritrean/Ethiopian food before. Delightful host. The Ethiopian wine was also surprisingly good. Merlot was better than the syrah. Traditional coffee also very good. Well worth a visit.

Absolutely unfriendly owner. After the restaurant shot, I sit on the bench in front of the building and eat an ice cream... the owner comes out, talks stupid to me and says "that's private" and wants me to leave. But there are no prohibition signs anywhere in sight.

Good selection of dishes, also for vegetarians. We ordered a vegi platter. It was served on a delicate injera in a basket. Everything was delicately seasoned and tasted good to us. An enriching culinary experience, to which the friendliness of the hostess also contributes a lot. Gladly again

Very authentic food and friendly service. It's worth stopping by if you want to discover new and very fine cuisine.

We were there with our 2 kids and treated ourselves to a vegi platter. It was very delicious. If you don't know Erite food: try it. You eat with your right hand and use the sourdough bread (injera) as a spoon. It's not difficult ;). The building doesn't look very nice from the outside, but inside. Everything inside has been lovingly renovated and furnished. Definitely recommended for a culinary trip :)

I went to dahlak restaurant today. The staff were friendly. The food was very tasty

The food we ordered was also a disappointment. The meat in our dish was dry and tough, indicating it wasn't fresh or cooked properly. The rice was also dry and tasteless, and the side dishes had an odd taste and didn't seem fresh. The staff also didn't seem to take any hygiene measures. In the back there is a kind of bar or pub with mostly male guests who have already had a lot to drink and were very disturbing. This restaurant also has a kind of disco because we parked downstairs in the Schützi, so we had to walk past the main entrance of the disco where we were also spoken to in a rude and extremely disrespectful manner by some guests. Based on these experiences, I would not recommend Dahlak and the associated disco. It's a shame about this beautiful central place in the middle of the heart of Olten, therefore 1 star normal zero

Owner is rude and a scammer. First take advantage and make friends but then never pay for the work done.

We savored Ethiopian tastes while sharing the traditional dish. Fantastic!

Good Ethiopian/Eritrean food, Injera + Veggie platter with various vegetables, cabbage, lentils etc. Friendly people.
