Nice place to linger, the meadow always in front of your eyes, very idyllic.

Excellent fondue, friendly service, fair prices. And with the fire in the fireplace you feel like you're in a small mountain restaurant. In summer, however, you sit "by the sea" 😉, i.e. on the bank of the meadow, enjoy a tarte flambée or a piece of fruit tart and can watch the great egret and the various types of ducks. Very cozy. A small reservation: not suitable for dog haters, as there are always a few four-legged friends there (almost all well behaved) 🐶

We go to Schliessi several times a week and are always very satisfied, great team and the kitchen is excellent! A big compliment to the Schliessi tenant family! Best regards

Since Ali and his family took over the Schliessi, it has FINALLY been beautiful again!!!!! Great food and above all - unfortunately often rare in Switzerland - very nice service! Hopefully this family stays as long as possible 🙏🏻

Beautifully located, small restaurant on the meadow. After a walk in the Lange Erlen zoo and along the meadow, a Schliessi Plättli, or something warm or sweet. Unfortunately the toilet is horrible because it is also used by all walkers. 😎

Very friendly service. We only had a drink, can't comment on the food. But I would like to do it again because I really liked the atmosphere.

Rustic, cozy, by the river, often with a small fireplace in winter. Environment great for relaxed hiking. And the zoo (free) is also around the corner.

in the heart of landschaftspark wiese, the „schliessi“ is a perfect place to relax, enjoy a meal or just have a refreshment. raphael and andrea, the hosts and their team are very friendly and fast. on the menu you will find different simple meals fitting to your current activity (walking, biking, dog-sitting etc). there is something for everybody. the atmosphere in the middle of the nature is peaceful and nice. thanks to the whole schliessi-team!

I recently visited Schliessi with two friends and their little boy. Despite the beautiful view at the restaurant, our experience was far from pleasant. The waitress who approached us was incredibly rude and treated us very badly. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the waitress had a bad attitude. When we asked for recommendations, she brushed us off and seemed annoyed that we were asking questions. We left the restaurant feeling upset and disappointed. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. While the view is beautiful, the terrible service we received from the waitress ruined our experience. If you're looking for a pleasant dining experience in Lange Erlen, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

New and very unfriendly serving daughter! A pity! At 3:20 p.m. she was already mistreating people because the coffee shop closed at 4 p.m. e.g....just for example...much more!

We were here for Christmas dinner - very pleasant and good food. But be careful, it takes about 10-15 minutes to walk here (from the Niederholzboden tram stop)

fantastic location for smaller groups. We were invited to a winter wedding and had raclette for dinner. Worth a detour at any time of the year!

We organized our Christmas dinner at the Schliessi restaurant and couldn't have found a better place for it. The place is absolutely magical for medium sized private events. After a short torch relay through the night and fog, a lovingly prepared aperitif at the fire bowl awaited us at the Schliessi restaurant with a lot of choice, including mulled wine, and great service. The cheese fondue that followed was also delicious and the service continued to be attentive, competent and, above all, always there for us. The interior of the restaurant reminded me of a cozy Danish or Swedish cabin, with comfortable armchairs, a Swedish stove and lots of wood and loving decoration everywhere. Also worth mentioning are the high-quality, but above all local and national products (cheese, wine, etc.), which the restaurant attaches great importance to. I can only recommend a rustic, cozy and heartwarming Christmas dinner in the Schliessi restaurant to everyone!

The order was taken relatively quickly via tablet. But when after more than 10 minutes nothing came, but other guests were being served, we asked. An order has not yet been registered. We even had to listen to each other saying we should leave if we didn't like it. Since this wasn't the first time - never again

A very nice place, with room for improvement. The rösti was served nice and hot in a cast iron pan, but the rösti was not convincing: greasy, not at all crispy but rather soggy and not completely cooked through. Afterwards I had digestive problems and needed a schnapps. When it gets dark, there's no more cosiness: the Unser-Bier neon sign is blinding, otherwise it's extremely dark. So my wish: put up a few candles or lanterns, then you would like to sit and consume a little longer. And in the kitchen it needs a little more love and variety: after the third visit you no longer know what to order... Addendum based on the host's answer: Thank you very much for the detailed answer. I'm already looking forward to the coming changes and the new gastronomic concept :-)

A total of 2 restaurants with terraces are managed by 2 clubs in a very pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant on the right is larger and better equipped but also more expensive. The Links restaurant is smaller but also offers good quality food and drinks at cheaper prices. The toilets can be reached from the city of Basel and in front of the restaurants in the middle. Both restaurants and the toilets are barrier-free and accessible for the disabled.

It was my first time in Schliessi but not the last time It was a nice experience for me with such a location, very friendly staff and the very, very good food and drinks. Enjoy the hustle and bustle of the promenade from under the trees. Nice view of the Altstadt. Unfortunately (out of necessity) drinking from plastic cups.

i love this place. so unpretentious but with great service, reasonable prices & good food & drinks. i can definitely recommend their cheese sandwich, so simple but so good! the bread is wonderful. their veggie pie is also delicious, served with a small green salad. on top of that the location is very cosy.

Stopping at the Schliessi restaurant while taking a walk is a real pleasure. Cozy atmosphere inside and on the terrace with the sound of the flowing meadow. Very friendly staff and extremely good food. Fine home-made sweets. Optimally organized with the necessary precautions even during the corona pandemic.

Super friendly little restaurant. Ideal for a pit stop during a long walk along the river. Relaxing large terrace overlooking the river the Team are super nice and accommodating, making many changes in order to stay open during the “quarantine”. Local food, local drinks.

Amazing experience, a restaurant in the woods, by the flowing river, in a clear starry night with all the warming fires outside. You need to sit outside even if it's a bit chilly, you need to taste the Metzgete choice of sausages, you need to try their amazing Ueli Swiss beer and you need to be handled by the very friendly and lovely staff as the king of the night. I repeat that this restaurant offers an amazing customer experience and that not only because of the food. One tip. You cannot drive over there with the car as it is truly in the woods and not allowed. Need either a bike ride or a 15 min walk from the nearest parking place in Eglise

Today I was there for coffee for the first time since the new tenant. The first impression is quite good. The new tenant also seems to be a dog lover. I hope that the dog lover can enjoy a hot coffee/cacao even in winter. ... I will comment on the food in due course

Due to Corona, you should approach the waiting times in a relaxed manner. But where else could you want to go even more beautiful? A dinner in a great atmosphere!

After a nice evening, a pale aftertaste remains. Some drinks bills were apparently incomprehensibly high. The water placed in carafes is NOT free... on the contrary!
