I would give it a second try. Service was very kind and I heard really good things but was not overly impressed sadly. It was a little spendy too. For just the food in the photo (rice, paneer Tikka masala and naan) (before a tip) it was $24 something.

Really good place to hangout, food was tasty but served less quantity quite enough for 1 or 2 person, momos was really good tasted like indian momos street food, chicken biryani and chicken lollipops are different taste than usually biryani can try.

I had been afraid this place had closed, but was thrilled to find it open and cooking today! I was with a friend who had never been to it, she loved it and the food was delicious. The garlic naan was spectacular, light as air. I will make it a point to go back as soon as I can; the service was friendly even though they were short staffed. A jewel!

Absolutely love Tibet Corner! The Beef Shapta is my favorite but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Also make sure to get hot chai in the winter or mango lassi in the summer! They have a nice patio in the summer and it's just a fun place to eat in general. Besides the food being fantastic, the owner is one of the nicest people ever and is always cheerful with great conversation and service.

We had such a delicious meal at Tibet Corner!! The spices in the dishes were fantastic. I had Chicken Korma and I was in love. My husband ate Tikka Masala and raved about it too. The mango lassi & hot chai tea are fantastic. We loved the atmosphere and the owner is delightful. I highly recommend! We will be back!

Absolutely delightful experience at this restaurant! From the charming host to the atmosphere, to the amazing dishes we tried. Highly recommend the veggie pakoras and the spicy potatoes. The beef shapta and the Alu Sha, both Tibetan dishes. The beef was tender and the entire dish so flavorful. Even better was that the majority of the menu was gluten free, except the naan and noodles. Can’t say enough good about this gem!

Tibet Corner is phenomenal! I’ve had the Butter Chicken, Tikka Masala, Momos, Garlic Naan + Vindaloo. I love that they adjust to your preferred spice levels too, if you want spicy they’ll give you spicy. The service here is also unmatched. The owner and everyone that works there is so attentive and kind. I look forward to coming back!

Great food for either takeout or dine in. I love being able to get good momos without going all the way into Minneapolis, and the other dishes are exactly what I want when I’m craving Indian food - rich, comforting, and with as much spice as you’re looking for. Staff are friendly and kind, which makes this one of my favorite local spots in Hopkins. Highly recommend!

Amazing restaurant with extremely friendly staff and a great cozy feel. If you have never been I recommend trying it out, they have a great selection of foods and their service is exceptional. We ordered our food “Medium” and “Mild Plus” after hearing from others that they tend to be on the spicier side but in our experience they are pretty true to scale. If you enjoy spicier foods you should be able to handle Medium and higher spice level. Overall, we were very satisfied with our experience here and will definitely be ordering and dining in frequently!

The dal was delicious, get it! The combo chow mein was delightfully spicy; a pleasant mouth and lip warmer. Everything we had was so good. We will be back!

My husband and I absolutely loved the food! The atmosphere was inviting, and the staff was quick to serve and they handled the busy restaraunt with fluidity and everyone seemed to enjoy there jobs and their regulars. If yourbin the area or from out of town, this is the place to go! We certainly enjoyed it!

AMAZING. Very friendly staff and incredible food.

Food was alright, nothing stood out as being good. Chai was tepid when it came out. Ambiance was weird, had incense lit right behind me just before food arrived so it really messed with my sense of taste. Waiter couldn't even be bothered to get up from his chair; we ended up shouting across the restaurant to ask for things. Even then he was staring at his phone most of the time so it was hard to get his attention. Most awkward of all was after I had paid the bill a manager (I think?) tried to tell me I had underpaid because my waiter didn't bill me correctly. Afterwards I double checked prices and I believe I was overcharged by a dollar, but I wasn't going to bother, it just felt like a really weird interaction.

For starters, excellent service. The owner and manager are attentive to your table the entire time. They give their shirt off their back for you. The food is top notch and rivals some of the best Indian in town. The patio is nice too and right on Main Street. Hopkins is lucky to have ethnic restaurants like this.

As a Hopkins local, this is a staple in our household. We absolutely love Tibet Corner!! The food is great and the staff/owners are so kind. They’re also very accommodating to my sister who has some food sensitivities which is very much appreciated!

Have been there probably a dozen times now and I can still say with certainty this is one of the best places I’ve eaten in the twin cities. The food is amazing, the vegetables pakora is my favorite appetizer, and I’ve not had a single bad entree with the beef-shalpta, vindaloo, tikka masala, malai kofta, and the Alu sha all being very delicious. If you like spicy food this place is a great option, there’s the standard mild, medium, and spicy levels but you can ask them to make the food even spicier by saying x2 spice or up to whatever level of spice you want. Though I will warn this is actual spice, not Minnesota spice so be warned if you order spicier levels of food and pace yourself. Overall, should check this place out if you like Indian or Tibet food.

Even though food here is so delicious, it’s more inspired by Indian. If you want authentic Tibetan food then this is not for you.

The only thing Tibetan about this place is the name. It is just Indian/ Nepali food with names of Tibetan dishes. It is nowhere close to authentic. If you go in for Indian food this is a good place but not at all for Tibetan food.

Their naan blew my mind, the lasso was the best I’ve ever had, and the service was great. Will be going back to try more of their menu!

Love this place! Feels like going to a friend's house to eat. The owner and his son were working and you can tell they really care about the quality service and food they have. We were there once 4 years ago and it was excellent then as well! I hope they will be there many more years!

I have been here a few times now and each time it has been amazing! the waiter who took care of us was a great time to chat with and had lots of good jokes for us. I started out with a chai tea which was amazing. I have gotten the chicken tandoori and the chicken tikka masala! Both are amazing and I highly recommend! A great choice for Hopkins!

This is one of the best Indian/Tibetan restaurants I've ever been to! The owner served us and he was very personal, informative and welcoming. The food was amazing and filling. I would love to revisit Tibet Corner whenever I'm back in town!

I have been going here for 3-4 years now. Between the staff and the restaurant itself, Tibet Corner gives you a very cozy atmosphere with great food to boot. It's a small, family-run business owned by father and son. The food is exceptional. I have tried just about everything on the menu (alu sha, butter chicken, and muttar paneer are my personal favorites). You can request any level of spice and they will deliver. Be sure to get some hot chai - it's some of the best you can get.

Food you would expect but very freshly cooked and a slight twist to each dish we tried. Will be back.

Since the name is Tibet Corner, I was expecting Tibetan food. But the menu is heavily north Indian focused. Even the Tibetan items in the menu have very Indian inspired tastes, particularly the beef shapta which tastes like beef curry rather than a shapta. For folks who are expecting Indian food, go for it. For people searching for Tibetan food, this is not the place!

The owner was so friendly and the food was SOOO good! My buddies and I decided to go here on a whim and it was such a great decision! I dream about their food.

This is a casual dining experience that felt like I was a guest in the owner's home. Very down to earth. The food was exceptional. I had Momos that were stuffed Tibetan dumplings, fried fish pakora, garlic Naan, hot Chai, and gulab jamun. The flavors were great and the food was freshly prepared. I recommend this place for take out or dine in, though it appears more popular for take out.

Stopped in for a quick lunch on a freezing cold day. The staff was very friendly and conversational. The chai tea was fantastic and the Dal didn’t disappoint. I’d come back here next time I’m in the neighborhood.

My girlfriend and I had a great experience eating here. Service was really good. The owner paid a lot of attention to us. The food was phenomenal considering both my girlfriend and I grew up having similar cuisine. The food really reminded us of some of our childhood. Definitely would go again.

The food here is fantastic. Cannot recommend enough. It’s great to have an authentic meal, served in large portions, at a great price. The owners are friendly, welcoming, fun, and happy to explain the menu. If you are in Hopkins and looking for an excellent meal at a locally owned restaurant, this is the place to go!

Finally! Indian and Tibetan food that’s delicious, in a walkable neighborhood and has a cute outdoor patio. This place has great malai kofta and dal. Spouse really liked the Tibetan Chow Mein. This place seems to err on the side of mild so that can be helpful when dining with the hot and spicy averse. Service extremely friendly and interior is pleasant.

Phenomenal food! I got the butter chicken, veggie samosas, and garlic naan and I was so impressed. The samosas were perfectly crispy and the butter chicken was so flavorful. The staff was kind and efficient. I will definitely be going back here!

I’m always a fan of Indian food but the Tibetan options were fun and new to us. The owner was so kind and welcoming. All around, this place is an underrated gem. What a wonderful experience. We’ve had Indian food all over the country but Tibet Corner blows all other restaurants out of the park. I had the lamb vindaloo and as soon as I smelled it when it was placed in front of me, I knew I had found a special place. The taste Blew My Mind. How delicious! Meat so tender! Such a fabulous meal for a good price. And left overs! My partner had the butter shrimp and I had to snag a bite! Soooo creamy and smooth. Choose your spice level! Will definitely make this one of our regular spots. Absolutely to die for. And very kind server. Gonna be telling my friends about this place!!!

I went here to try something new. I had the malai kofta, which is deep-fried potato and paneer balls in a tomato based curry over basmati rice. I got it at hot level spice and it was fantastic. Don't forget the garlic naan!

Don't even go to that restaurant, the owner is upfront lying about the price listed on the menu saying the menu is old and the price has been changed. He won't even give you the bill properly showing what all you ordered, he will just include wrong total price and charge it. The food was not upto the taste what we paid for. The Momo's we ordered were too small for what we paid even felt like spoiled food.

As a born and raised NYer, I am accustomed to fantastic Indian food. We have found some real good options but Tibet Corner is THE BEST. The food was spectacular and the service great. Highly recommend. We will be back.

Terrible !!! ...momos were greasy and chewy and very over priced. Tibet chow main ... ingredients frozen vegetables, tasteless., angel hair pasta smothered the contents on the plate...and was dry. Only 2 sauce to choose from....not good.... l want to taste my food, not burn my mouth. Spice potatoes were just ok Chai tea was delicious!! $65.00 tab + tip Is rediculous price for such poor quality... But☝ !!! the gentleman who owns and runs the restaurant is very nice and personable. The only reason l would return, would be for the tea 🙂

Absolutely love the dal here! Best tasting dal to my tastebuds in all of the twin cities. Mild, subtle, & it’s the subtlety that matters to me. Something so simple but not overdressed as this ancient food is & yet so fresh & present that it brings my tastebuds present and the rest of me right along into the new world of a subtle floral flavor of the simplicity of dal masterfully prepared.

Very affordable and yummy food! The best part? The menu can be tailored to your diet or any restrictions that you have. I specifically came to this restaurant because I invited a friend who is vegan and it was incredibly refreshing for her to have so many options to choose from. I don’t know if he was the owner but a gentleman was serving our table and he was so sweet and explained some dishes to me and we had a nice chat with him. Prices are also super good! The worst part? I wish they were open earlier but the hours work for when I’m craving a good lunch!

Many recognizable Indian dishes, but the food is incredibly bland. Some items on the lunch buffet tasted like boiled meat. Apparently they don't even salt the food. Bleh!

Had dinner here last month with 3 friends on a Thursday night. First time for all of us. We didn’t know what we were missing all this time! I and one of my friends had the Beef Shap-Ta. Excellent. I can’t remember what my other friends ordered but we all enjoyed our main dishes as well as a variety of appetizers. It was a snowy night so not a lot of dine-ins like us, but nice to see many people picking up to-go orders. The owner made us feel very welcome. I will be back with other friends to check out the lunch brunch.

The owner is probably the nicest man in the world - my friends and I go in every few weeks, and he always takes phenomenal care of our gang. Extremely knowledgeable on the local area and very friendly. Absolutely wonderful food - I've not yet been disappointed by any of their dishes. Staff knows what they're doing and execute orders both timely and flawlessly. Chicken and lamb are always extremely tender, and the various curry permutations are delicious across all heat levels. We've been out probably a dozen or more times since we moved here, and both dine-in and take-out have been excellent. Dipping fresh, hot garlic naan into their curries is easily one of the biggest highlights of my week. It's rare that I'd ever leave a review for a restaurant, but absolutely worth stopping by if you find yourself in the Hopkins area. My friends and I all look forward to Tibet Corner night!
