Kind and friendly staff. Excellent lunch

The pizza was a real culinary delight - a culinary highlight that kept its promises. However, the experience unfortunately stumbled over the hurdles of a service that can best be described as suboptimal. Despite multiple, always polite requests for the bill - we asked no less than five times - there was no timely service. Our patience was so strained that we were ultimately forced to stand up in an act of self-liberation and make the payment on the way out. It's one thing to have a bad day, but it's quite another to give the impression that prioritizing customer needs is low on the list. An unfortunate faux pas in service that overshadows the otherwise tasteful experience. Disappointing, really.

The starter was good and it was great to see they serve gluten free options as well. I ordered pasta carbonara, but I was served pasta omelette. I think they also forgot to add salt to the dish, it was plain and it tasted like nothing. This was easily the worst pasta carbonara I have had in my life. The service was really good, but the restaurant is not cozy.

Food was very good and delicious. Pizza is a little bit too thin so thats a negative point from me. Service very good and friendly. Super chill atmosphere nice music and not very loud.

I didn't want to pay yet and enjoy an ice cream, had to pay straight away and she didn't even ask me if we wanted to pay.

We were simply given the bill without asking us if we wanted anything after the main course This is an impudence...

The food was very nice. Both starters and main courses were great. That is all the positive comments. Service was extremely poor. Ordered water for the table (two of us) and got 1 glass. When we asked our waiter after a few minutes for a second glass, he forgot the glass again. He then came to the table for another reason, and he then remembered he was to bring me a glass, mentioned it himself, said he would get it, and again, forgot. 3 times and no glass. Next time we saw him, he seemed busy arguing with a waitress over who amongst the two of them should have been serving the table (or so it seemed to me and my partner). A different waitress then brought us our main course, and we ordered two drinks at that time, which never came. After our plates were taken from a 3rd different waitress, we waited 15 minutes expecting a desert menu or some interaction, but again, nothing. We had to get up and walk to the door to pay, and it was very clear that nobody had any interest in checking on us. Disappointed to say the least. Nice food spoiled by extremely poor service.

Excellent restaurant. The cuisine is very good, the setting is beautiful, a cozy and friendly atmosphere. If I can put just one negative point, it’s that I would have liked to have more pasta on my plate.

🇮🇹🍕Was totally surprised. It's not always easy to find good Italian restaurants that have such a corporate appearance. The prices of the pizzas and pasta are a bit high but the portions are correspondingly high. Quality definitely speaks for the price. This time I ordered the lasagna. With the “normal” portions of lasagne that you usually get, I could order twice. Here, quite the opposite. I only managed to finish here with difficulty🥵 If you love cheese and want cheese pulls for your Insta Stories you should definitely order the lasagna!! 🧀 I'm actually not a big fan of a lot of cheese in a lasagna, but I'm not deducting any points for this because it feels like the whole world has a different opinion 🤷 The only flaw I could find: For such a busy restaurant on a Sunday, two waiters might be a bit too much few. They were both super polite and totally on their toes! But it's difficult to constantly keep an eye on such a large restaurant. It was a little difficult to get the attention to ask for the bill. But I'm super happy to have been served by two such nice ladies! 🌼See you again ✅

The food was very bad, pizza very dry and fried way too much, like a stone, I couldn't eat it 😞 it was the first and last time, it's a shame

The food was great, but we waited far too long after the starter for the main course. In my opinion, waiting more than 1 hour for 2 people who both only ordered pasta is too much. It's a shame, because you'll lose your hunger a little in the meantime. And as we found out from the person sitting next to us, we weren't the only ones who had to wait a long time. He couldn't even order for a relatively long time. We will definitely come again, hoping that the increased waiting time was a one-time thing. For the information of the operators, this was on Friday December 29th from 6:30 p.m.

It's one of my favourite goto places for pizza. I have been going to Cucina for many years and every time it's been a pleasant experience. Consistence is truly appreciated. Thank you for your great service and a pleasant experience.

Food was great and very friendly service! We had no problem getting a table even though we hadn't made a reservation. I hope the waitress who bumped into our child and dropped glasses has recovered from the shock! Our child was just scared and didn't hurt himself 🙏🏼! We'd love to come back!

The pizza was great with a thin, crispy base. The tables may be tight, but you still feel comfortable. The service is attentive and very nice. The waiting time was very pleasant. The Cucina is really recommended!

Food is fresh and well prepared. Service is very good. Unfortunately, the ingredients used are not sustainable (meat should always come from Switzerland); So the designations of origin are also ambiguous (and no, I don't want to ask, these things simply have to be standard).

I went to eat tonight with a group of friends. VERY BAD experience, while I was eating my slice of meat I found a rubber band inside, I pointed this out to the staff (the really kind girl), despite this they made me pay for it! I will never go back there again!

It is my favorite restaurant, for quality and professionalism. I highly recommend it.

Food OK, service a bit clumsy, no experience. ZERO!! Knowledge about wine... When recommending wine, the service asks how much you want to spend... ZERO advice on what to order. Can't recommend this restaurant if you want to eat well and pair it with wine.

We always go there because the pizzas are good. Yesterday, Thursday, November 3rd, 2023, we stopped in for lunch and were served by an older lady. When serving, this lady dropped the salad, so that a Rivella spilled onto the table over her pants, coat and shirt and 3 people got wet. No apology, just nothing... which is a complete mess and a no-go. We even cleaned the benches ourselves. Ev. you would have to teach the lady some decorum and explain how to deal with guests. Absolutely cheeky lady...

Very friendly service and down-to-earth Italian food. Pizza is more of a Pinsa but of good quality.

Thank you for the great lunch of a 3-course green salad pizza with king prawns and pannacotta. Nice attentive courteous service. Great fresh, well-seasoned home-made food. The restaurant has created a really nice ambience with a lot of attention to detail, after all the restaurant can't do anything about the street in front of the house, they did their best. The ambience, service and cuisine completely justify the price, many thanks to the whole topic keep it up. I'd be happy to come back any time.

Rather noisy, classic Italian but with small pizzas..

We were at La Cucina last night around 8 p.m., which we actually know as a very good restaurant. I was really looking forward to it. Unfortunately it was a bit disappointing. I have been working in the catering industry for 27 years and know that things can go wrong. The service employee was great, but the chef de service leaves a lot to be desired. If there is a complaint (the food came after 40 minutes and my partner's was wrong), the chef de service should come across as more competent and accommodating (a little tip, if a guest gets the wrong food, don't ask, just him Take a plate with you, apologize and make the kitchen steam up so that the guest eats the right food receives ). Instead he was snarky and arrogant. I hope things get better again. Best regards

Went there to eat with friends. We hoped for more from the food. The price-performance ratio is somehow not right either. The service with great disinterest in the guest. We expected much more from the Cucina.

I was a regular customer there about 5-4 years ago because of the exceptionally delicious pizza. I went there almost every weekend. Yesterday I was there again after a long absence. Pizza is only standard to bland (take away quality), the tiramisu is tasteless, the service is rude at the beginning and then friendly. Restaurant almost empty. I'm not surprised by the rather bad reviews from the recent past. It's a shame, the pizza was ultimately delicious 5-4 years ago. 😔

Service was bad. The main course came before our aperitif. Waitress didn't understand German. But the food was good except the carbonara was very runny and chocolate ice cream from mövepick is better.

I ordered carbonara from here and got a pasta omelette. I feel embarrassed for them that they would find it acceptable to serve this when they clearly messed up and cooked the eggs in the sauce. a waste of money.

The restaurant is very charming and modernly decorated. The Hugos were fine too. However, that was the only positive thing about this restaurant. The staff spoke very quietly and gave us the wrong goods. The carbonara sauce in particular was really not appetizing. Unfortunately we couldn't finish the meal...Maybe the other dishes are better, but the carbonara is really hard to eat. The price/performance ratio does not match (far too expensive)

I ordered spaghetti carbonara via UberEats. As is often the case, Swiss style with bacon and onions, which can be quite tasty. I don't know how you can cook a dish so carelessly. I can't say it didn't taste good, because it just tasted like NOTHING. No salt, no pepper, the bacon was soggy and gave the dish no flavor, no onions, the spaghetti was overcooked and had a strange taste (probably because it was gluten-free). An absolute disaster! And asking for 25 CHF for that is absolutely cheeky.

We were eating lunch in the outdoor garden area, and the atmosphere was great. The food was excellent and served by very friendly staff in a quick fashion. Will definitely be returning in the future

Well located near the Sihlpost. Well, an Italian restaurant. If you don't like pizza, there are few alternatives on the menu. The food is okay, but not significantly different than in any Italian restaurant (and there are plenty of them here). The outside area on the street is quite loud and windy (as it is on a busy street).

I settled on the "Lucy" pizza ( spinach, gorgonzola, cherry tomatoes and garlic) unfortunately I neither discovered nor tasted the gorgonzola or garlic. However, the service and the ambience were top 👍🏼.

Nice restaurant with good cuisine - service is always attentive and very friendly. Regarding the shortcomings; Unfortunately it's quite loud right at the stop and intersection. Given the prices, it is recommended to sit inside and not in the garden. In addition, a leaf or nature constantly falls into your hair or plate. But the kitchen is really good 💖👍☹️

I felt sorry for the service staff. Far too few for such a large number of tables. Our service was very friendly, despite the stress. The food was good, but it doesn't particularly stand out compared to other Italian restaurants.

Penne cuccina too spicy, spaghetti alla carbonara too salty, cafe latte is not cafe latte, we ordered also espresso and got something else, in general ok place, but nothing special, staff doesn’t speak English

Clear 1 star rating from me. I wanted to see for myself how good or bad the cuisine is. The fact is, the food is nothing special, rather low quality to be honest. The waitress has no idea about wine, let alone politeness. Once and never again. I advise against a visit to the Cucina, there are much better Italian restaurants in the city of Zurich.

The service was very friendly, but unfortunately I was sick afterwards. Tagliatelle with smoked salmon and saffron made my night sleepless. Not sure about the freshness of the fish.. pity

I had a terrible experience. The girl at the bar, in particular, is very rude: after multiple requests she blatantly ignored us, not serving us what we needed. I will never go back again. Burnt coffee and cups that looked reused and unwashed. The pasta is also terrible. What can I say, disgusting!!

Pizza Cucina tasted colorless and bland. In addition, the porcini mushrooms left me (and those who tried my pizza) feeling heavy in my stomach and burping all evening. Restaurant is a bit big, has something of a canteen. Service ok.

Basically always been good. Was disappointed today. I got a pizza that was in the oven for way too long. Unfortunately, the waiter only asked at the end whether the pizza was good. I answered no. His answer was, yes, I saw that the pizza was burnt, but you get an espresso for that. Because I didn't have time for a coffee, I ordered the bill. Incomprehensible to me, I didn't get a discount or anything. It's a shame, I'm really not picky, but that disappointed me. It's a shame, I would have expected more.

Food was good and came quickly but the service was terrible, even though there were only 3 tables we waited far too long until we could order something.. and then when the restaurant was empty we sat with an empty plate for over an hour..

Literally to die for don’t listen to bad reviews it’s so good. 100/10 get any pasta with tomato cream sauce.
