Excellent food, excellent service! I went my senior grandmother and the bathroom was one floor down and they had an electric elevator.

We lucked out finding the is place after visit Lindt chocolate museum. Perfect view of the mountains. The aperol spritz hit the spot and the fish and salads were delicious.

Location, service, food = three times excellent. We will be back!

Wanted to celebrate our 1 year old. Unfortunately there was a dog in the restaurant which I found VERY UNHYGIENIC…

Went there for New Year's Eve dinner with friends. The staff was very friendly, even the dog was served water. We had several courses that evening, I was pregnant at the time and had to have two dishes swapped. Unfortunately I didn't like them; they were too sour and inedible. Dessert alternative was that I was allowed to choose two scoops of ice cream, a bit unimaginative and a shame. The rest of the courses were very tasty such as oxtail soup!!!! I would come again because the ambience was fantastic and very special!

I was today at Seerose and I hope the manger sees this feedback . At time 14:45 a man came to me and other costumers and said : „ why are you sitting there ?? Sit there were no snow Is .“ sorry but how can you be that rude ?? And I asked about menu he said I don’t have menu neither online I don’t have . He brought the glasses meanwhile putinh them in a aggressive way in the table ! Totally rude totally unprofessional. How can somebody forbids me to sit where I want and tell me what to do ?! Thanks and I’ll never come again even tho it’s near my home

The Seerose restaurant in Zurich offers an enchanting location directly on Lake Zurich with a picturesque view of the city. The festive decorations were particularly impressive, and the idea of ​​what it would be like on the outdoor terrace in summer brings to mind an ideal lounge atmosphere. Our visit fell on New Year's Eve 2023/2024, and the multi-course menu was a real culinary delight. The greeting from the kitchen, a porcini mushroom ravioli with parmesan cream, was an excellent combination and impressed with its strong aroma. The first course, a tuna tartare, surprised with a fruity note and a pleasant crunch from cashew nuts. The quality of the fish was excellent, evident from the fact that it didn't taste like fish. The oxtail soup as a second course was aromatic, complex in taste and warmed you pleasantly from the inside. The third course, braised veal head bäggli cubes, was another highlight in combination with carrots, jus and mashed potatoes. The dessert, a panna cotta, was in no way inferior to the previous courses and rounded off the menu perfectly. The portion sizes were consistently reasonable. We found the price-performance ratio to be very good. The service at Seerose was extremely friendly and accommodating, and the fact that dogs were welcome added to the overall positive experience. All in all, Seerose Restaurant offers a first-class dining experience in a stunning setting – a place to visit.

A restaurant that you definitely have to try it if u are in Zurich. The dishes that we recommended: Oxtail soup Tournedos beef Apple Beignet (Ladies must try ❤️)

A delight! I went to Seerose for the company Christmas meal and we had a great evening! The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the staff are very friendly and super welcoming and the meal… simply delicious! I recommend without hesitation

Perfect location right on the lake, good food, but the service seems a bit stressed.

I was completely impressed by the Seerose restaurant at Seestrasse 493 in Zurich! The homely atmosphere, the extremely friendly staff and the excellent cuisine make this place an absolute highlight. The menu surprises with a varied selection of culinary delicacies, all made from fresh ingredients. The idyllic location by the lake gives the restaurant a very special touch, especially when you sit outside on the terrace and take in the breathtaking view. A place that I always enjoy visiting and that I can recommend without reservation!

Over-salted food for CHF 400 and a cheeky German brat at the checkout. Otherwise very friendly and competent service. ultimately the nerves and not worth the price.

Amazing service, amazing staff, incredible views

I'm sure this place rocks in summer but in winter it's depressing. Last Saturday night it was only 1/4 full. They appear to have fixed the service but the food was just average.

The water lily has been a safe choice for many years. Great views, right on the lake in summer and great views of the sparkling Gold Coast in winter. The food is good, rather in the upper average range of Zurich's gastronomic scene, but it's not too expensive, you can also eat reasonably well with families. But also suitable as a date. Staff exceptionally good, when it gets busy service drops off slightly. The wine list offers almost everything in the middle range, a few good classics, including Swiss wines. Anyone who is in Zurich for a long time should definitely come here to have a say.

I was there twice last week, the service was really catastrophic, waiters don't understand you, argue with each other, run away during the conversation, the second time I waited 25 minutes until they even noticed us. At the end the waiter told me if you tip "enough" you will get the parking chip for free otherwise you would have to charge for it? What kind of logic? The food used to be a lot better too. Of course the ambience is still nice.

Ambiance is very great! But the atmosphere that the Chef de Service spreads among his staff is noticeable from afar. Starting with the order, right up to trying to pay, where I got caught between the fronts of the service staff's arguments (they were unfriendly, spoke badly about the other service people in front of me, argued and there was a spiteful wrangling of authority). For a location that likes to adorn itself with the fame of the rich and beautiful, I find such an unprofessional background of spite and mutual bullying completely unacceptable. From a chef de service in fine dining, I expect a completely different demeanor and behavior towards guests and his staff. A pity.

This is a restaurant that I can honestly recommend to everyone. Lake and mountain views.Very polite service.

Delicious dinner with colleagues at Seerose. More than at the edge of the lake, it almost feels like a house on stilts. The dishes are refined, the service careful and the setting warm. A quality that has its price, but it’s Zurich... I recommend the pumpkin cream soup with Amaretto as a starter, it's killer! In the end, we had a very nice evening.

September 24th, 2023, we were in the water lily for the first time. We were lucky and got a table right by the water without a reservation. Enjoyed fine Spritz & had good food. Definitely coming back.

The view! It is all about the view! The service was great as well and it was a perfect place for a coffee and crossiant. However, we stayed for lunch and the food was not memorable. It was good, but I really wanted it to be GREAT! I will be back to give it another try though!

Made Reservation for dinner, but on arrival staff could not find the reservation in the system. She started to argue with me in front of other guests. Then another staff member found the reservation in the system. The lady should learn how to deal with situations like that. The food was good but the evening was ruined. No go.

Slow and unfriendly service. Mediocre food at best for a high price. Used to be good years ago, now just disappointing every time I come here. Won’t return already after today’s experience.

The water lily is no longer what it was! The food dropped massively, the service was completely overwhelmed and the restaurant wasn't fully booked. We had reserved a table with a view of the lake, a lady called and informed us that we would be there until Friday. 500.-- have to consume, a table for two?! What's wrong Water Lily?! This is how you lose your charm. The last time I ate there was a real shame :-(.

The food is very tasty and the staff is also very friendly. But unfortunately you always had to wait forever, just until you could order the drinks and then again until you could order the food, etc... Whether it's due to too few staff or more to the internal processes is difficult to judge, however I would expect faster service for the very high prices. Another example: If you order a "Café Gourmand" for dessert, it would be nice if the sweet was served while the coffee is still warm. Highly recommended purely for the food. All in all, you have to consider whether the service is really worth the money.

Very good meal with very attentive service, even though the restaurant was packed. The service was also quick, despite there being a lot of people. The only downside: it was very difficult to find a parking space.

Friendly welcome, charming service, fantastic location! With friends from Australia we spent a wonderful summer evening having dinner at the water lily. We tried early for a table right by the water and got it. The view over the lake, the sailing boats gliding past, and Zurich in the setting sun thrilled us and our guests. The same satisfaction went to the friendly welcome and the charming and attentive service at our table by Christin! In German and always changing into English for our guests, Christin responded to all of our wishes and gave us an unforgettable evening with her perfect service. We were also completely satisfied with our choice of menu: fish, lamb, vegetarian and a tartare. (Only the tartar, although ordered medium hot, was a bit spicy!) The fact that the excellent berry tiramisu was complemented by a wonderful sorbet ball was really great. A successful evening that satisfied everyone.

Birthday party in the Seelily was an experience. Great location and ambience, pure holiday feeling. Attentive, friendly and fun service. We felt completely comfortable. We will definitely come again. Thanks for the fine food. Portions very generous for Zurich - keep it up. To recommend

The location is and remains breathtaking. Service was friendly and accommodating, but the food was a disappointment. We ordered a Tagliata di Agnello and it came very well done without prior notice. The same goes for the Tuna Tataki - also overly fried and not necessarily very fresh… I won't necessarily visit the water lily in the near future

Beautiful restaurant directly on the lake. The Seerose offers a very good selection of finely sorted drinks and food. Excellent wines, champagnes and cocktails. The menu of dishes is not particularly large, but well thought out. There is something for everyone, including health-conscious guests. The restaurant, which is expensive even by Zurich standards, is worth the money!

Food was great, service was wonderful, just extremely expensive and processed. In other words, crammed in, squeezed in, unpleasant...

A classic on Lake Zurich - great cuisine, friendly service and a fantastic location right on the lakeshore!

My friends and I went here for dinner and it was awesome. The food is really delicious, not much choice but still great. The restaurant is located where the Zurich sea is so you get a stunning view, while enjoying your meal. Overall a 10/10. A tip, would be to make a reservation early if you want to sit right at the view.

An allround nice restaurant with ample parking and docking possibilities. Lots of tables but also very expensive. There are many dishes on the menu but each dish really is an art piece. Expect a premium price tag.

Great location with a fantastic ambience. Were there for coffee. Cafe Gourmande was very nice. There was one small point of criticism that I criticized. However, the service staff reacted flawlessly and very professionally and everything was quickly resolved. We would like to thank you again very much for your cooperation today! We will be back :-)

Basically everything is so good that you almost forget the high prices. Absolutely recommended for the right occasion.

Very expensive, even though i don’t mind spending a lot of money for good food, the value for money spent is very bad, i spent almost 200chf for a food that was delayed, mediocre and poor waiter service, i gave it 2 stars, because ambience and view is nice.

I came across the water lily by chance as I rarely go out in Zurich. We visited the Seerose with guests from abroad and were thrilled by the beautiful location right on the water. Price/performance for this place is absolutely ok. Particularly excellent, friendly service, not a very large menu but really well cooked. Even when the storm came, we were able to change tables easily. Thank you, I'll be back...

This place is perfect in summer. Such a nice atmosphere. Food was good too, nicely presented. The waiter was friendly in the beginning but towards the middle and end he didn’t have any time for us because all tables were full. He ran around, opened champagne bottles super stressful, sweated a lot and of course forget about us once or twice. We also asked for a team picture which he took from us but with the same stressed manner. I get that it can be crowded and you are allowed to be stressed. But do not show the customer that you have the most stressful job on this earth. The restaurant needs to add 1-2 more waiters and educate their waiters that it’s ok to be stressed but they don’t have to carry their stresslevel around on a silver platter. Ruins the entire atmosphere. Plus we were sitting at the end of the patio and I could see a drunk businessman from the restaurant, running behind the little hedge and puking into a bin 2 meters from me.

Seerose is beautifully situated on Lake Zurich. The terrace was quite full on Saturday afternoon and the atmosphere was pleasant. We wanted to eat and drink there. Unfortunately we only had to drink because the service was uninterested, unfriendly and cold. It was collected without words. It's a shame for such a beautiful place.

Biz lots of fancy people, but location is nice...

Upon arrival, I immediately noticed the sign "no joggers" which got me very excited for the evening. It really is a beautiful place that let's you travel to the south of France here in Zurich. Sunshades, lights and the water really make it a wonderful place for a magical evening. The food is also delicious! One of my new favourite places here in Zurich. Only down-side is that service can be quite slow on busy evenings. This doesn't really matter however if you have good company to talk to.

Fantastic view of the lake. Charming in that it doubles as also a fuel depot for boats. The food is mediocre, so come here for the view and drinks.

Contrary to what other reviewers are writing, I think the staff is very friendly. And I liked the dishes offered. The terrace and terrace are scenic. What gets quickly tiring, though, is the crowd it attracts on a sunny weekend. A lot of people simply “trying too hard”, that wish they could have a boat, and swamping the place. I’d be uncomfortable bringing my in-laws and show them that crowd. I’m almost sad to write this because it’s not the owner’s fault at all. And the place is otherwise great.

Even if you only live a few kilometers away and drive past it almost every day, you sometimes miss the most beautiful places: I haven't been there for more than 15 years and I have to say that it has developed a lot and is really extremely beautiful has been expanded and therefore very well maintained. There are white tablecloths everywhere and every corner invites you to linger and enjoy the lake. The service is really exceptionally good and not only did they make an effort with us, but you also noticed that it really comes naturally to how you are treated there. The food was also extremely good and tasted excellent. The prices are also absolutely realistic for the location, even if you don't drink alcohol. If you have someone older with you or someone who is disabled, you can drive up to the restaurant at any time, but afterwards you inevitably have to use the large and really spacious parking lot. The prices there are really very reasonable and not too expensive. All in all, highly recommended on a beautiful summer day!

Nice and cute but.....too crowded If you go there, don't be in a hurry, hungry or thirsty

Unfortunately, the roast beef was well over done. This means it is far from delicate. Side dish was served way too late. We could choose: cold meat or a side dish after dinner... Soup was very nice. Two guests asked for an umbrella in direct sunlight, which was politely declined. Ps: One of these people is a woman with disabilities. We then made her a wet cap out of the napkins. Thank you, the water lily has been removed from our list.

Very good coffee, friendly service and is always worth a stop by bike.

I haven't experienced such an unfriendly employee in a long time. You are served rudely for no reason at all. An employee told us we could sit down by the lake. Then the lady came and said that wasn't possible because you had to eat something. All the tables around us weren't eating at all, just drinking. Please serve all guests equally. I definitely won't go there again, bottom drawer!
