Lovely hidden Italian spot with a great wine list and delicious food.

We've been going to the Riviera for a long time, rarely in the last year because my husband had an operation. It seems that someone else is the Gerant, all previous employees are no longer there. Seat reservation Sat in the back room, there were only two tables occupied by us. The table on the left of us was served much faster. . .There were three of us, a friend from Vienna wanted the menu, we didn't. The waiter explained to us from the kitchen that this would only work if he gave each individual dish a special label. That was so much that he had to send half back, of course the menu price was SFr. 30.- more expensive. Had to confront the waiter about it, saying it was absolute nonsense and annoying the customers! ! ! Just cheeky, we're not coming anymore. . . .

On Tuesday evening the restaurant was sparsely attended. Service was very friendly - we got a nice corner table in the inviting main room. We ordered the egg “carbonara” and then the tuna. Both courses were presented very imaginatively, served with perfectly coordinated unexpected ingredients. The hot plates enhanced the flavors and extended the special enjoyment. The employee recommended a suitable open Sicilian wine - a good choice in an unobtrusive and attentive way. We'll be happy to come back, thank you for the lovely evening!

📝 Excellent chic restaurant with Italian cuisine where the customer is served excellently for decidedly acceptable costs in terms of quality-price ratio. 🍴 The menu was rather limited, however leading to a refinement of the dishes offered. We tried the scallops as a starter: excellent. As a main dish I chose the busiate with cuttlefish ink and octopus sauce which had a nice seafood flavour. For dessert we had the cannoli, truly delicious, which was accompanied by an almond sorbet. 📍 We really liked the warm and elegant environment, and the slightly retro atmosphere. The restaurant is located in Seefeld, a quiet residential neighborhood near the lake. It can be reached from the center in 10 minutes by public transport.

Between the first and second courses we waited more than an hour. the place wasn't full. When the second one arrived it lacked flavor because it was made in a hurry. Wine for that price should be served when the glass is empty. It wasn't the case. Coffee is served with biscuits. Biscuits are not brought to the table after the coffee has been drunk. The coffee was offered to us and we didn't want the limoncello. Too bad because it was my birthday

For the hefty price, the food was ok but nothing more. Service was also average and the waitress was even snippy and unpleasant. The atmosphere in the small garden is very cozy. There's definitely better in the area.

Been there many times and always loved it (gave 5 stars pre Covid). But our latest visit has been a great disappointment. Food good but not great. Had a 5 course menu and all courses were fish based. We like it and admire the innovation of the chef. But probably should be pre announced. And that links to the service quality. Which was lousy.

The restaurant is very nice and looks lovingly furnished. We found the service to be unattentive and condescending. We were not given a pleasant feeling. There was only 1 vegetarian main course. The food was ok, but we didn't find it particularly special. The prices are usual for Zurich.

Terrible place! We got insulted by one of the waiters which was clearly racist and totally unprofessional. A shame this kind of person works in the hospitality business! Food was ok but not more. The osso bucco was cold inside, sent it back to the kitchen, still came back cold. At the end of the evening we went back inside to complain about the rude waiter and the only thing they did were telling us it is our fault. We have been nothing but respectful and polite. Also when i read the other comments in this section the quality of the service should clearly pop out as a red flag! A shame for the owners of this place who do not seem to take the complaints of their customers seriously and instead to improve and self-critique, just throw the rock at you. Can not recommend this place AT ALL!

We had a great evening yesterday on our first visit to the Riviera. Great selection of food and a very good wine list, including an extensive range of spumanti. Our dog was also given a warm welcome, including a drinking bowl. Fine pasta and good meat, wonderful starters. Finally, a deliciously prepared tagliata, there is always room for that. We will be back.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated. We are placed in a room where a large group of people are celebrating, so we can hardly have a conversation. Not for a tête-à-tête. The wine (CHF 100) is around 25 degrees warm and needs to be cooled down first. The Spaghetti Vongole contains 10(!) Vongole. Priced at CHF 40. We didn't really feel comfortable and won't be coming back.

Finally we had the chance to have dinner at the Enoteca and were not disappointed. They seem to have 3 dining rooms: the main one by the entrance, another one in the back and another one with a large table. The decoration is traditional with a nice atmosphere. Service is very friendly and easy going, but it was a bit sloppy. The food was good: we pasta as starter (good flavors, but al dente to the limit) and venison (solid dish). The wine list has many options at fair restaurant prices. Overall, a good experience.

The choice on the lunch menu was either a meat or vegetarian menu, salad and coffee included. The food was great, large salad, crispy chicken thighs with vegetables and polenta. Espresso small and strong (really Italian 😍) For dessert we ordered a tiramisu - it was served in a coffee cup and was fresh and delicious!! 🥰🥰

We really enjoyed our visit to the Riviera! You almost feel like you are in Italy here. I had the Pannacotta di Burrata (a symphony!), and the pasta with eggplant and salted ricotta (nicely al dente, something new, just great in taste). What our table neighbors got also always looked very tasty. The service was friendly (all three), you didn't have to wait long between courses, and there was also a delicious amuse bouche and Sicilian cookies at the end. Happy to come back!
