We were guests at Santa Lucia this afternoon. 6 adults and 4 children. The service, courtesy, hospitality and delicious food we were offered was sensational. The treatment of our children was also very welcoming. The children were offered pizzas for CHF 10 with the option of a second helping if the children's pizzas were not enough. Keep it up.

Pizza was very thin and the cheese wasn't melted well, but it was tasty. The service was first class!

The Negroni (edizione limitata) was rather watery. The food we ordered (Verdure al forno con mozzarella di bufala) was supposed to have portobello mushrooms, it was served without. The service had to call the kitchen, then they said they had unfortunately run out. And the remark that we were already halfway through eating. That was it then. Ok, maybe an offered coffee or something? Well... We were on the 1st floor, the restaurant was busy and it was quite loud.

Friendly asked the waitress when our food would be ready and she immediately responded in a rude and unfriendly tone that she had only just cleared away our starter - sorry, but that's just not possible and leaves your customers with a miserable impression!

I was here a year ago and the food was wonderful. (or was the restaurant next door?) That's why we chose Santa Lucia for lunch. This time we were very disappointed. (Cook changed?) The only thing that was good was the children's menu (meatballs with risotto) I ordered the same dish, lasagna. But this time she barely had any taste. It was very bland (no salt or spices), little meat and the dough was overcooked. The pizza was no more than edible for the price. Rather small with little toppings. My colleague ordered spaghetti, it came with long blonde hair, we are both brunettes. The spaghetti was sent back and the colleague didn't want a replacement either. When paying, you wanted us to leave a tip, so I replied that we weren't satisfied. Then the waiter mentioned that the menu was "offered" to us and my colleague looked frustrated. That's the wrong choice of words for me, because my colleague took exactly one forkful of it. It was not offset, which is correct in this situation. The food is already expensive enough and Switzerland generally doesn't have a culture of tipping. I'm happy to give it voluntarily if the food and service are satisfactory. I felt bad all day, I think the tomato sauce in the lasagne wasn't cooked enough or was bought, so I'm sensitive to that, but I've never had a problem with it at other Italian restaurants. I rarely give reviews, but especially because of the servers' reaction to tips, I would have to.

Fine food and very pleasant staff.

Everything was miserable. The promised homemade pasta was neither homemade nor fresh. Our food came after just 10 minutes. The pizza was too thin and the olives were tasteless and rather old.

Joining a friend who was having dinner, I ordered a drink while they had a meal - this was apparently unimaginable to the waiter who rudely snatched my utensils (and water cup?) upon hearing I wasn't ordering food, and threw an attitude towards us the rest of the evening despite spending 50 CHF total. I doubt your margins are good enough to afford turning your nose up at paying customers, so I will happily take my money where it's appreciated. The food definitely didn't warrant the snobbery anyways.

Wonderful place, wonderful waiters, delicious food! Each person will not feel unnecessary here, the food is prepared quickly. The drinks are delicious. The desserts are super! I believe that in the center of Bern there is no better place than this! Excellent pizza and other Italian dishes, also excellent... service, waiters, cooks, delicious food, setting and place.

The welcome at first was really great. Arrived upstairs, when placing orders, the service was a little less pleasant (servers different from the person who welcomed us): servers not very smiling and we had the impression that not speaking Swiss German, it was disturbing. Despite everything, I made the effort to order in German. There was an error on my order twice. At first I received a pizza even though I had ordered pasta, and when they brought me the pasta dish, it was not what I had ordered… However, the desserts were really very good! During the bill, no action was taken for these errors and in addition, I was billed for the wrong pizza which was more expensive than the pasta which I still decided to eat. I often say that mistakes happen. But that was a lot for a first experience. Plus there weren’t that many people at that time because we ate late.

Small pizzeria in an alley near the federal square. Great lunch. Exceptional pizzas. For children, their entire menu is offered in children's portions for 9frs. Top notch service. Friendly and attentive waitresses. Great experience.

It's amazing in Santa Lucia, I was served by a woman named Vjollca and she was so wonderful and lovely! You rarely find something like this! She should even be promoted in my opinion, TOP!

Having visited other Santa Lucia stores in other cities in Switzerland, I also chose the Bern store as a sure choice for dining and it was indeed a success. I was completely satisfied because I got what I expected. Nice flavors, impeccable service from the staff, with courtesy. The space is clean and well-kept, it sets your mood. Good menu with several food options, nice pizzas baked in a wood oven, delicious pasta, amazing lasagna. Average prices correspond to the quality offered.

I got the Tortellini Santa Lucia as take away. The pasta was unsalted, there was far too little sauce and there were three small pieces of meat in it. It was supposed to be spicy, which unfortunately it wasn't. Total disappointment!!!

08/15 food (good but just 08/15) with quick processing. The operator's goal: eat and pay as quickly as possible so that the table is freed up for new customers. OK for tourists, well for locals...

The service was quick but also a bit unfriendly. Since I wasn't particularly fit today, I said that I would share the main course with my daughter. She then brought separate plates and almost threw them down and said: "You really want to share? The portions are very small!". Well she was right, the only big thing was probably the price. 41CHF for two miniature veal schnitzels and two forkfuls of spaghetti... I wonder who will be fed up with that if they're really hungry. I rate the homemade iced tea as positive.

Santa Lucia in Bern is an absolute delight! The food is superb, and the ambiance is cozy and inviting. Highly recommended for an authentic Italian dining experience in the heart of Bern.

Food was ok, but the waiter promised (several times) original food. I came with my family and we ordered carbonara and risotto, risotto didn't resemble actual risotto at all, it was like rice pudding, and carbonara wasn't original either but similar enough. Prices were far too high for this quality.

Average Italian restaurant. Very friendly welcome, very fast service. Beautiful interior with great paintings. We recommend the tagliatelle with melanzane.

The reason for the bad rating is the flies that are everywhere, flying around you on the pizza, not one but 20 flies. When you inform the staff, they sey you back "Flies are everywhere" First and last time at your place! Also, waiters are non-professional.

I like my pizza crisp. This one you needed to saw with a knife and eat with a fork. The cheese was stringy, I wished for scissors to cut it between the plate and mouth. The service was OK but slow. The taste was OK, but the quattro stagioni was not very carefully put together. The peperoncino in the olio piccante had not been renewed in a while.

Here for the first time. Positively surprised. Friendly, efficient and a pizza quattro stationi with pulled planted - wow!

Santa Lucia is always good option to go to. I had the pizza with spicy salami and it was delicious. The food quality is always at it’s best and the waitresses are professional & polite especially Gonçalo. Definitely recommend this place!

It was by surprise that we discovered this restaurant while walking around Bern. What a joy to have stopped there after a day of walking. The welcome was perfect, despite our mediocre German, the waiters did their best to understand us. As for the pizzas, they are delicious, cooked over a wood fire. A real delight, thank you again!

Ordered Margherita Pizza and Bolognese Spaghetti - My husband wanted to eat something less greasy, so I ordered only the tomato sauce-based dish. It was delicious and the food came out quickly. Since food is something that is highly individualized, I found the pizza salty, but my husband said it was okay. Since we were visiting Bern unplanned, we looked around and visited the restaurant without reservations for lunch on the weekend, but it seemed like a restaurant popular with both locals and tourists, so much so that other teams coming behind us had to leave because there were no seats available. If you plan to visit, it would be a good idea to make a reservation in advance. In fact, there were many unusable seats due to the reserved seating signs.

I was in Santa Lucia at the other towns in Switzerland and today tried Bern. It was amazing like always. From smiling welcoming waitress to the greatest italian food. Always best experience visiting Santa Lucia restourants. Highly recommendate!

Food is ok. On the positive side, the children have access to the entire menu for 9 francs, they were able to eat the entrecôte which was good. My vegetarian pizza on the other hand was ordinary. Tap water costs 3 francs per carafe, I find that incredible. The waiter was not very welcoming and unfriendly, the service was quite long.

Not recommended. A very inattentive waiter who let us pour the bottle of wine for over Fr. 50.00 himself after we waited over a quarter of an hour before he even took the order. There were only 6 people in the restaurant at that time! Then he overcharged Fr. 10.00 for the wine, which we discovered by chance... Overpriced food that wasn't worth the price.

The food was beyond amazing, one of the best Italian places I’ve been to! The only drawback is that they don’t have variety of non-alcoholic drinks!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND! I stopped by there to eat some food. We we’re 3 people. The waiter rushed to get our order, leaving me go get the first thing I saw: the Salmon Ravioli. The food came quite fast, in about 15 minutes. We had the salmon ravioli, Flori di Zuchini Pizza, and the Burrata Pizza. When the waiter asked me to get some cheese on my pasta, he quickly came and spilled some cheese on me. He went then to get another table’s order. The food was bad, pasta and pizza! I came to my hotel and the first thing I did was puke, along one of the other 2 people. Very bad restaurant!

Great restaurant, atmosphere and location. If you go hungry you should order pizza, 3 out of 4 menus were very small. Tastes great! Price performance - portion too high for the price. (6 Gamberoni on the plate with a small plate of rice = price 39.- for approx. 10-12 ravioli = 26.-) Staff nice, but should be more attentive, we weren't served for a long time despite the empty glasses and we were never asked. We had to announce ourselves (for the aperitif, drinks, dessert and coffee) even though the restaurant wasn't full.

If you don't know what to order for dinner, order Calzone here, it's simply the best I've ever eaten. and I have tried a lot of calzones and I find them simply delicious. drinks could be better or decorate better. I mean we live in 2022 and everyone takes photos of the food, it would be great if it looked delicious too. And it's the best place to show what we as a Swiss people are passionate about when it comes to making delicious food and better drinks 😋🥳. I was there again because I thought it was very good before but unfortunately I'm very disappointed. I don't know whether they had a lot to do or not but the whole dish was burnt. Please don't change anything that is or was so good. Now I can no longer say that Santa Luica makes the best calzone. 🥲

Very bad service and the boss is very ignorant towards the customers

Warm welcome and very child friendly. The children receive painting supplies and robber plates or inexpensive children's menus. We waited a little over 30 minutes for the main course. This is not unusual for Switzerland, but rather a medium value. The quality of the products leaves nothing to be desired. A safe value in Bern, even though there were few local guests.

The Santa Lucia in Bern is always very friendly. I'm here often. Table requests are taken into account and my dog ​​is also welcome and even gets a drinking bowl. The food and ambience are always good anyway. I'm already looking forward to the friendly service staff and the good food.

Casual relaxed dining in picturesque surroundings, delicious food, we had risotto & ravioli, also aperol spritz

Today I had lunch at Santa Lucia with a friend from Cap Verde who is on vacation with me and my daughter. We ordered 3 aperols for the aperitif. As we each other As we toasted, our holiday guest filmed the three glasses. A recording of approximately 5 seconds. A waiter asked us, somewhat rudely and not discreetly, not to film and to delete what was filmed. The guests next to our table looked at us with interest. I asked for a little more discretion, which was unfortunately dismissed with excuses. We still ate very well. The price was more than fair.

Pleasant Italian atmosphere, you can see the pizzaiolo right after the entrance to the restaurant. I chose the Toskana pizza (spicy salami), give it 4.3 points out of 5. I found the quality of the salami to be very good. Together with the chili oil it gave a pleasant spicy tone. There are drawbacks with the cheese, which I found to be not melted/liquid enough. In addition, the pizza visually looked too pale, even though the base was on point and therefore not too doughy. Overall, everyone enjoyed it, the service was very, very friendly and attentive. And we liked the whole atmosphere too. In addition, the Mother's Day gift was very well received by us.

Sorry, they don't know anything about pizzas. The surface was OK so far. but the dough was so hard, simply inedible.

Best pizza in town! The vegan pizza with Planted is perfect. The vegan pasta dishes are also great. The service is very friendly and attentive. We always enjoy eating here.

We had a pizza and some pasta. The pizza was really good, the pasta just average. The tables are very close together so you can follow the conversation of those right and left of you. The room is big but crumpled wit tables so it is very loud. The waiters try to be quick and have a good system if the place is not too full. It is an OK place to eat but nothing special, or at least down stairs, they seem to have more tables up.

Kitchen and service was very good. It's just a shame that 2 francs are charged for a glass of water that is ordered together with a café. Would understand this if you only order water with your meal. However, we had starters, pizza prosecco and beer. I don't understand this, even if these 2 francs are supposed to be donated. Very special.

Stopped by here with the family at about 2pm after the lunch crowd came through. They gave us a nice corner table inside which is always convenient when eating out with toddlers. The decor was nice and they have an impressive firestone pizza oven. With that being said, it was pretty underwhelming. Way too much cheese on the pizza for my liking, although the crust was pretty well done. We had to ask for kid cups and cutlery. I also saw one waitress walking around chomping down on a slice of pizza. It didn't bother us much but it did seem a smidge unprofessional. All in all it was an okay lunch, just not great.

After eating, no dessert, you are literally thrown out. They only like people who consume and leave

Do not go with a baby or stroller. They will tell you that everything is reserved and do not have any place even if there are plenty of free tables and you see how other people get a sit without reservation.
