Santa Lucia Altstetten in Zürich

First I have to say the service was outstanding. The waiters were all motivated and had a smile on their faces, which is very important to me. They also chatted with the guests. I ordered Santa Chiara (with beef) and it was delicious. Authentic Italian food. I will gladly come again.

It's a very busy restaurant on a Saturday evening. Everything went so smoothly until the restaurant got full, and suddenly, we had to wait over 20 mins for our ice creams, 2x 1 scoop, which we felt a bit ridiculous. However, we made it just in time to the show we went for. Yes, I would recommend the place and food.

Nice atmosphere, but the noise level is almost unbearable during lunchtime and you're happy to be able to leave the restaurant again! The Penne Amatriciana was very disappointing, no fresh bacon but small crumbs of dried bacon - not tasty at all! It's a shame for the very nice atmosphere!

Very comfortable in itself, but the waiter we had was friendly but he just rattled everything off like in check-in. We ordered stuffed eggplant twice. One was really hot and one was cold and a bit raw. Very unfortunate. Therefore only 4/5 stars In the meantime we were there again for lunch. New ambience since last time. Was pleasant. To eat...very tasty! Prices tend to be in the higher segment. But friendly and accommodating (even if you had to call the waiter again and again to order, pay, etc.)

This is the right place if you want unparalleled service; Bland food at overpriced prices.

As always, the food was very good at Santa Lucia. But in Altstetten the staff was particularly friendly and helpful. I had a small personal glitch and the team helped me solve it. And that after work. Thanks again for your help and of course the delicious food!

That was a dream today. I was seated next to the fireplace by the restaurant manager Jean-Claude. I think he could read my need for warmth in my eyes. Placed and I was immediately covered with cards and asked for an apertiv. The Portbello dish was recommended to me from the daily menu. I decided to treat myself to this. Breaded mushrooms on tomatoes given in the pan and as a side dish crunchy arrabiatta spaghetti. Good seasoning and aldente, a dream. The service was really pleasant all round. I was asked once if everything was OK. That it was. Supper. A Nonino [Grandpa] was one. Recommendation afterwards. I also had to say no to the Dolce Carta. The atmosphere today on a Monday was pleasant and cozy. I can only make one recommendation. Try it and let the service, dishes and love and friendliness invite you to a convivial evening. The service woman was very attentive. Kudos to you. Thank you for the lovely evening . P.s I was there alone.

This evening we had problems with the car in the underground car park, and the extremely friendly waiter helped us immediately. He didn't want to accept a tip, which confirmed to us that there are still helpful people today. If it hadn't been so late, we would have eaten pizza, but we had to move on. Gladly another time. My visit to "Santa Lucia" in Altstetten was a culinary experience that I can warmly recommend. The excellent food, excellent service and pleasant atmosphere contributed to a wonderful visit to the restaurant. I will definitely come back to enjoy more delicacies. A very big thank you to Mr. Gennaro and Mr. Jean Claud, who served us excellently and made our visit very pleasant.

My favorite pizza in Altstetten

I come from Spain and I enter the restaurant that, in my opinion, is the most elegant and good in the area. Real Italian food and 10 service, I highly recommend this restaurant, I will return.

Santa Lucia in Zurich is a culinary experience in a class of its own! The authentic Italian cuisine, paired with charming service, creates an irresistible atmosphere. The attention to detail is reflected in every dish. A gastronomic highlight in the city!

We made a reservation for 4 families (17 p.) We all wanted to sit together and eat and they seated us at two tables even though it was almost empty. The food was great as always.

Had the Tagliatelle Napoli. They were very tasty, the portion was quite large and the price was good. The ambience is very great. Our waiter Gennaro was extremely attentive, friendly and accommodating, compliments to him but also to the entire team! Gladly again!

The restaurant is in a good location in Neumarkt in Altstetten and is easily accessible by public transport, on foot and by car. There are enough parking spaces available for cars within a 5-minute walk. The bus stop is in front of the restaurant and it is a 10-minute walk to the train station. We were served quickly, the food was there 15 minutes after we ordered. The quality, the taste and the ingredients were high, it tasted very good, really fantastic. The portions are medium sized. The price level for drinks and food is medium-high. The waiter spoke German poorly, but it was enough to order and pay. The toilet was clean. Can recommend the restaurant.

Before I give a review that is neither positive nor negative, I would like to say that my grandfather worked at Bindella for over 20 years. As a child, I spent a lot of time in the Sant Lucia Heuried and had the pleasure of playing with dough there and learning how you make your own pizza. Yesterday I went to Germany in Bad Säckingen at the Pizzeria da Daniele where they say that there is one of the best pizzas from world champions, the pizza is really big, visually very nice, the taste is really a disaster, the pizza is really bathed in semolina and not tasty. So I told my companion, don't worry, we'll go tomorrow to the place where I learned to make pizza as a child. At 11.30 a.m. I was in Altstetten today and I was very well received. The pizza arrived quickly to take away. When I tried the pizza I was almost in tears. The companion found the pizza good. I also had to praise the salami. Spicy and very tasty. Good choice! !! But unfortunately I didn't come for a good Okey pizza - I was expecting a taste reminder of the time I spent with you as a child the dough and the cheese are no longer what they used to be, the cheese was made specifically for you and the semolina used to not be on the edge of the binderlla at the beginning but okay there wasn't too much on it you could eat it Didn't bother me compared to da Daniele and all the pizzas in Zh since you're still top. I was sad that I didn't get the taste from before. The pizza at my house is much closer to your 1965 logo on the box and that's exactly what it is which made me sad because I know how much work goes into the company and I don't know your taste from before. I wish you all the best if you have the opportunity and the knowledge, do it again like before, your heart opened with every bite!!!! Good cuisine and the service is also top

One of the best italian restaurants we have been to. Everything was great! We especially enjoyed the burrata ravioli!

When I feel like a pizza it's usually the "Santa Cristina" at Santa Lucia. Simple, good and uncomplicated. You know what you are getting and you appreciate that as a guest. See you soon again!

Good food, service and very accommodating

Nice ambience--built around a fontaine with chilled, drinkable Züri-Wasser. Italian kitchen with fresh sea-food as well as veal.

At Santa Lucia we had the food delivered directly to our home. It was with us within 30 minutes of ordering! The pizza was still hot! Highly recommended!

Eating over lunch. It was good but also Zurich prices. Service was very nice despite the crowded restaurant. The background noise was enormous. Better acoustic insulation would be good for the restaurant.

It is wheelchair accessible and there is a wheelchair toilet. Not all tables are accessible (triangular metal stand). A colleague was constantly referred to as senior. The tomato soup tasted like it had been warmed up from a can and like pizza sauce and the mushroom risotto was very watery, not creamy and very bland, so I had to add more seasoning. The cheese grater is not ideal because it also requires a lot of strength. At least the cafe ice cream was nice.

The food is always good at Santa in Altstetten. But what is always brilliant is the operation. The staff is always friendly and some of them are really nice and funny, especially towards children. The boss keeps making rounds and greeting his guests. The atmosphere is always very pleasant!

Was here again after a long time because it was pretty bad last time and a colleague really wanted to come here. Well, let's see, I thought. The food (pizza) is still below average. They really don't make any effort to prepare a decent pizza. The staff/service very very bad. You had the feeling that you were interrupting them while they were talking to each other if you wanted to ask something. When leaving the restaurant you had to ask if you could walk through because the waiters were talking to each other in front of the exit. Bottom drawer. I think now it was the very last meal. It's a shame... 2 years ago it was still good.

Fine dining, staff super friendly

I've never had food delivered like this before. We live on the 15th floor and logically waited after the bell rang for the food to be delivered to us. After 10 minutes and the suspicion that someone was lost, I set off and found that the food had been carelessly placed at the bottom in front of the elevator. And that too incomplete. After half an hour of torture with phone calls, cold food and a lack of insight, as well as a lack of apology and because you really ordered food for other reasons, I can only recommend not ordering food here!

We order ragout with tagliatelle and fennel sausage pizza and both were very tasty. Will try more dishes in the future.

The staff is a bit stressed and therefore only partially friendly. However, the food is very good.

Actually it wouldn't have been bad if it hadn't been for the waiter who managed to splash us wet four times in a row while pouring water. Cell phones and tables were always showered wet. Luckily we didn't order red wine.😂😂😂 The parking garage is totally overpriced. With 16.00 parking fees for the time of a dinner, it's totally over the top and definitely belongs in the rip-off category.

Was there over lunch. It was very loud there. It's just a large hall, no partitions. A pity.
