For the second time the quality was not equal for the same cake purchased a few weeks apart. Perfect lemon-meringue and very beautiful chocolate but ended up in the compost, not cooked enough. Really a shame, I'm abandoning this place.

Unfortunately the coffee is mediocre. Pastries are OK. Service is fine.

The bread and cakes taste great and the atmosphere is super friendly and the staff are very welcoming.

I ordered a coffee as long as possible. The waitress offers to put two coffees in a cup. Which I accept. I never thought I would pay 6.80 for a long coffee. Thanks again. In the future I will deprive myself of your good pastries because I will never come back.

Very good pastries! The only downside is that the decor of the place, which is a little cold for my taste, could do with a warmer atmosphere. But most importantly the service is great and we enjoyed their pastries.

The pastry shop is great, if you want something that isn't on display, ask as they may have it inside. But if we want to eat we also have to drink something. Which we don't always feel like doing.

I just called this pastry as they have very nice cakes but unfortunately the shop assistant was very aggressive despite I called as usual being very kind and asking to book a cake for 3/4 people. She started being aggressive said that they don’t have cakes for 3 people and Is aid it’s ok for 4, I call you on purpose to understand what’s available. When I told the shop assistant that there was no need to be aggressive she said she doesn’t care about these comments and I responded that if you run a shop it’s not only the quality of the things you have to care about but also how you respond to your clients and while I was doing this she hang up on me. I was shocked and also sad as we were regular clients of the pastry

The best!!! A truly artisanal bakery of a very high standard. If you like buttery delights then THIS is the place to go.

Good service and good pastry. It's worth the detour for a short break in Nyon.

A very good bakery which has two disadvantages. The first, that it is a short distance from an even better one. The second, that there is a hygiene problem. I finally decided to no longer shop here when I realized that food is routinely touched by the same hands that handle the cash register, hence money, credit cards, etc. This is unfortunately not a problem unique to this bakery, Switzerland being one of the only countries I know that allows this practice, but as the competition has the good sense to use tongs and gloves, I prefer it.

An excellent bakery and pastry in the heart of the city of Nyon

I had my birthday today and bought 2 “pâtés vaudois” at the tearoom! I love the pâtés since my childhood. I must say that I had a great experience today. The sell’s woman, originally from Thailand was so kind with me and answered to all my questions about the pâtés. They are made by the chef personally, with the meat of the local butcher. They are delicious and very sophisticated. Thanks so much to develop and sell exquisite pâtés! I would like to meet the chef and learn how he produce this excellent and exquisite food. Please continue to develop our traditional food and empower it to become “fine cuisine for everyone “ Bravo! Best regards! Thomas

I can compare to it a tea room that you would get in the U.K. at Swiss prices. We ordered a sandwich pain au lait with mustard and ham which was was tasty. And an escargot which was like a danish with lots of raisins. The renverse was a bit strong for me but milk was willingly supplied.

Best bakery/pastry shop/sandwich shop in Nyon. Customers for over 10 years and I hope for another 10 years more 😁 test their Russian tresse, a killer 😉 and little tip: for 32ChF it also exists in a 60cm HRHRHRHR version

Without a doubt the best bakery and confectionery I have tried so far. Passing through Nyon, I automatically stop at Rougemont. All our birthday cakes and other festive events come from Rougemont and I can tell you that we don't live nearby. Elisabeth and Steve are charming and welcoming people, it is a pleasure to meet them again. Everything is good at Le Rougement and nothing is like it. The buttery delight is crispy, just right, the cheese ramekin, well peppered, without that unpleasant taste of egg that you can find elsewhere, the savory with sugar is divine and I could still tell you about it. In terms of quality-price, I remind you that we are on the Coast and I can tell you that I pay less in Rougemont than in my lost region above Lausanne. Friends of the Coast, you are lucky to have Rougemont :-)

Very good, we went there to celebrate a party and were not disappointed! The very charming maid and the delicious desserts. We had the passion fruit mousse and the raspberry pistachio macaron, as well as hot chocolate and tea. They were super good, we will definitely come back. The living room is well decorated and puts us straight in the mood

A small tea room/confectionery with a very pleasant atmosphere, friendly service and a good selection of pastries.

Incompetent staff! We came to buy desserts for a little evening at home... The saleswoman gave us 2 raspberry mousses and 2 exotic mousses in a square box that was too small. Result: none of the 4 desserts were unscathed since the plastic cups were placed in a staggered row, therefore not flat and not stable for desserts of this type. They are all very damaged and can no longer be served to guests at all. When I called about this, the boss was rude and expressed no regrets or apologies. However, she offered to come and get more, which I had to decline due to lack of time to return to town.

The boss is as unfriendly as possible, she has the nerve to blame other customers when we are in the queue. Impossible to reserve some pastries for the next day. 20 years ago, it was the best and now it's a flop!

We call a day before to reserve pastries, already very difficult when the owner agrees to set aside 12 pieces for us, we arrive the next day and nothing more... she sold our croissants, no apology, just a "we just got put everything on sale" We won't come back again...

The mille-feuille is to die for! The sheet is crispy and the mixture delicious.

The welcome was just OK but not super warm. The bread was not good/fresh/crunchy as you expect on a Sunday morning at the bakery...(I ordered 2 types of baguettes, croissants, brioches and 1 braid). The cakes look good but I haven't tried them.

I have been to this place for 4 times now - twice for table service and twice to pick up a “Too good to go” order. All experiences have been extremely disappointing and offensive. First time, the table service was very slow and the milk in the coffees was burnt. Second time I came to pick up the too good to go and as I was entering the person at the till said straight away “I saw you and knew straight away you are here to pick up the leftovers” - in a very condescending tone. I was on top scolded for not bringing my own containers (even if on the app it is clearly mentioned they can pack it for you for an extra 1.-). So the second time I came prepared with a variety of containers and the lady - literally laughing in my face - said there’s no need for containers. Same lady as the previous time. And lastly, for my most recent visit with my boyfriend, I ordered a cake and I didn’t want a drink on the side. I was told I am obliged to take a drink (despite having already taken 2 cakes and a cappuccino) and offered the tap water for 1.-. Honestly appalled at the level of service here. I kept coming back as their products are nice quality and thought maybe I had bad luck with one member of staff but it seems they are all equally rude. Safe to say I will not be stepping here again, especially with all the other nice places in Nyon where all staff are a pleasure to interact with.

A true artisan baker and pastry chef, everything is good whether it's the bread or the pastry, making everything on site. For me it is one of the best in Nyon

The place is clean but almost cold, difficult to judge on the whole when I only had a croissant and a tea, however what I hate when I eat a croissant is to have more on the table and on me than in the mouth, so the croissant was excellent but already too flaky which made this moment unpleasant.

Only downside: a bakery saleswoman who is not friendly at all! Good quality food but hire motivated and pleasant people please. I asked the question if the cake ordered was without alcohol, she replied: I don't know, I didn't taste it!... Then when I wanted to check the registration, she said to me: I thought you weren't interested in it since you do not look...

Good pastries, but less convincing chocolates. The staff is not very aware of who is being sold. And clearly it bothers them to make a selection other than the ready-made boxes. We asked for 4 milk truffles and got 4 alcohol truffles, without warning.

The pro of this place is that it is open on Sundays (for some reason there is no cafe open on Sundays in Nyon). I cannot judge the pastry as I haven't tried it (looks really delicious thought), but the coffee is mediocre at best. Service is rather slow and the whole atmosphere is like in a canteen rather than a cafe. Totally misses any charms. Definitely not a place to go if you want to have a coffee and get lost in a book.

CATERING SERVICE We called on the Rougemont confectionery as a caterer for a professional aperitif dinner and we were not disappointed. The owner is a charming person and very attentive to her customers. She gave good advice and was very open to dialogue or changes. We followed his advice on the formula to order and the result was appreciated. All his petit fours, savory and sweet, were absolutely succulent and very well presented. We also asked for people to provide services and the owner came herself, with a nice young man, to take care of the set-up, service and tidying up at the end of the evening. I can only really recommend their catering service, whether for the very good quality of the food, the helpfulness and professionalism of the people. A big thank-you !!

I bought a vegetable quiche and a cherry tart which were very good. The saleswoman was attentive and smiling. The room for consuming the products on site is quite pleasant. Only downside: there is not much choice of savory products for vegetarians. One or two additional options would be welcome!

Confiserie Rougemont or, my first homophobic experience. My friend and I were taken back by the boss following a complaint from a couple disturbed by A KISS we gave each other. The boss felt obliged to report this unpleasant comment to us in front of other people, asking us to be careful. Thank you Rougemont for reminding me that intolerance and ignorance can be found even (or especially) in a small tea room in a nice little town and for also reminding me that not everyone thinks correctly. Sad...

The croissants and brioche were stale, a day old at least. The coffee was ok, but not good. Having to pay for the bakery items separately to the drinks was a bit silly, despite eating in. The decor is nice, and the overall experience was ok, but I’ll try other patisseries in Nyon before coming back.
