Excellent Indian restaurant, serving throughout the afternoon. Food was authentic and very tasty. We went there twice. It’s however a bit on the more expensive side.

Service and atmosphere was great! Food was good, jalfrezi chicken was nice and spicy, great lamb curry. Butter chicken was ok, but Nan was too dry (plain nan did not have butter on it) and found little hair in my samosa which was changed. Would recommend visiting to have lunch or dinner. Good place overall

Came here based on reviews saying the food was authentic. Have not been to India but have had Indian food a lot. It was all very good. I really wanted lamb tikka masala but the server said they did not make it. He recommended two lamb dishes. The one I chose was good but not what I really wanted. Other Indian restaurants that I have been to could easily make lamb tikka masala. My wife ordered a vodka tonic and it came with no ice - a first. The place is pleasantly decorated and clean. The host who greeted us was very welcoming. I would come again.

In Europe we are always deprived of veg food however this place near to Interlaken west station - Taj palace Interlaken is a blessing to all the Veggie lovers and especially from India. The food taste amazing, the music is perfect to the cozy ambiance and the host(Ajay Singh) is always super excited to welcome the guest. The serving is fast, clean and hot Do try the Biryani, Lassi, Punjabi food. They also server good Non-veg food and Drinks It's 10/10 to the PLACE, HOST and STAFF

I have reduced one star coz when I asked for water, the assistant said it’s paid. I asked give me tap water and he said we cannot give. Bro are you kidding me? I was in a fine dine English restaurant and when I asked for tap water they gave, it is Europe isn’t it? This wasn’t expected. Apart from that, the food was delicious and the owner was really friendly.

To be honest, we were craving an Indian restaurant and we didn't know where to go. We said we would go there, God willing. It's good. Of course, our taste in restaurants is very difficult. It was difficult for us to come to this place. By God Almighty, it was very sweet, some of the tastiest Indian food I've ever eaten, and they were helpful once and for all.

The food was good The price is high Although the restaurant was not crowded, I waited more than half an hour for the order to arrive A small plate of biryani for one person costs 27 euros, approximately 105 riyals / dirhams 🙂

Although the food taste was very good, but prices were high compared to the quantity, hence low rating..the portions were very less. Chicken kadhai a full plate had only 2 pieces, which was a shocker, as a full usually has 4-5 pieces minimum! Even the chicken biryani didn't taste anything like authentic, taste was good if you do not think you're eating a biryani..yes, the Raita which accompanied the biryani was awesome..

The taste is very ordinary, not up to 5 stars. Its location is on the street, close to the center The prices are very exaggerated. 3 shrimp biryani, 2 shrimp masala, and 2 samosas are close to 300 francs over 1000 riyals.. The masala says it does not come with bread. We ordered 5 pieces of bread for 30 francs. 150 riyals of bread only.. A piece is 7 francs, meaning one bread is 30 riyals.. The Indian staff is respectful and the table is appropriate

Best Indian food in Interlaken. Its hard to beat the food taste here. Plus the menu contains some exotic items found only in India. Try their Paneer Bhurji and Dal Tadka. A bit pricey but then again its par for Switzerland.

It was one of the tasty foods we had and absolute value for money!! Interlaken is such an expensive place and other restaurants either compromise on quality or quantity! The quantities at Taj Palace are good and have a dhaba taste! Ajay is the host and was very cordial with all the guests! Must visit place to enjoy good food while visiting Switzerland!! 👏

Food was ok, bit salty for all of us. Paneer Kulcha was nice.. Sahi Paneer and Dal Fry were salty and gravy taste was of only Tomato, Service was decent. Gravies are served without rice, no papad at the start. The ambience was also ok.

Ordered takeout of Shahi Paneer & Chana Masala along with Onion Kulcha. Just amazing food. Highly recommend to try these two dishes if you are eating here for the first time.

Taj palace is conveniently located about 5 min bus ride away from interlaken ost railway station. We had ordered veg thali there, food quality and quantity was good. The food is reasonably priced and staff was very good to us. We had very pleasant experience.

Surprisingly excellent Indian food in a quaint swiss town! We’re from Texas so our bar for good Indian food was pretty high, and our expectations for swiss food was extremely low. But we were extremely surprised at how delicious the food was! We ordered the chicken tikka masala, aloo ghobi, and other dishes and they were all delicious. The owner was very nice and spoke fluent English. We would recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling in the area for some delicious Indian food!

Just superb! Loved the food, ambiance and the service! On holiday to Switzerland from India and we were craving for some good Indian food in between our exploration of local foods. And thanks to a good friend's reference we got to know about the Taj Palace at Interlaken. The food was just great! The chicken curry and dal makhani was excellent and tasted as good as or even better than the back home restaurants in Bangalore. Loved the balance of flavours and spice and we fully enjoyed our lunch. The ambiance is simple and welcoming. Very clean toilets.. really appreciate that part too. Thank you for the pleasant and fulfilling lunch experience.

One of the best places for Indian meals. Stayed in Interlaken for 3 days and had our meals here as the food tasted like home. You might feel that they take a little longer but that’s coz all the food is freshly cooked. Mr. Ajay is great at conversations and a wonderful person. Highly recommended to people who’re looking for Indian food at a beautiful and clean place.

Was looking for an Indian restaurant in Interlaken that serves authentic Indian dishes and came across Taj Palace. We ordered Gosht biryani, dal makhni and Naan. The taste, quality and quantity of all that we had was excellent. Not to forget, the warm hospitality of the owner of this lovely Indian restaurant. A must visit for all who love Indian food!
