As a family of 7, we completed a great cooking course here and learned so much about Indian cuisine with all its many spices and methods of preparation. The owner couple is super nice and it was a great pleasure to chat with them both. Gladly again soon, because the food was simply heavenly.

I have just tried their food for the first time via To Good To Go and the vegan dish I got was very good! I definitely plan on going back for a sit down meal with friends in the futute as the atmosphere was very cozy and inviting with a wonderful touch of traditional Indian decor.

We landed in zurich due to son becoming critical on plane. After a week at hospital and eating canteen food we thought we would order some traditional food as we're desperately missing home. We ordered two biriyani for extortionate £40! What we received resembled chicken pilau only half filled boxes one which had an eyelash to compliment! Our 9 year old son was still hungry after finishing his. Bitterly disappointed and starving. Complained via iber eats as well. Appalling standards , no doubt a reflection of the owner. Thanj you fot your response We are returning to London tomorrow thus not much to be done to rectify this. We just Hooe our feedback will facilitate a much needed review of prices, portioning and quality of your food. Ta ta!

To be honest, Haram Restaurant is less than normal and their food does not reach the expected level and it is Haram in it. The price that was charged is very very very high and here is the bill🥵

We tried this restaurant and spend 124 franc on 1 biryani,1 chicken tikka masala and 6 naan and 3 drinks. The food was quite nice but the naans were a little small and it is way too expensive.the owners are very nice and sweet.

Absolutely NO GO RESTAURANT First of all, we didn’t place the order here as the guy who came to serve us was impolite. Didn’t ask the name of the guy, but surely he was not a fair person. His tone was dependent on the outfits customers were wearing. I don’t want to use the word ”Racist” but he was a bit. I went with my parents and kid, and inspite of the whole restaurant empty, he started saying , you can’t sit here , go on corner table of the hall. Felt like “ Pre Independence Britishers Era” . We still neglected this and thought of ordering as we were tired and had no energy to find another place. Then this person came to ask for the order. When we started ordering , he kept informing , this isn’t available , Oh that , it comes with a pair of 2 plates minimum and in the end we got so frustrated that we decided to leave. The person was an early 50’s guy wearing a traditional dress. If he is the owner, I feel sorry for the restaurant and if he the worker , the owner do the restaurant should make a note and take corrective actions.

Took an Indian cooking course with Sikha and her husband. It was really fun to get to know Indian cuisine with its typical spices and also learn something about Indian culture. The cooked dishes were delicious and immediately made me want to cook them at home. The couple was very friendly and the cooking course was well designed. We can only recommend it. We look forward to dining at the Taj Palace again soon - but this time as guests rather than chefs.

We took a cooking course at the Taj Palace and learned a lot about India, the spices and different dishes. The owners are very nice and informative, and the restaurant is nicely decorated. We will definitely return again and look forward to seeing Sikha and her husband again.

Wow! What a great and first-class experience!!! We had booked a cooking course for my aunt. There were 5 of us and we were personally looked after by the owner couple for a whole afternoon. The food was DELICIOUS, the conversations were very interesting, and the experience was a complete success! We are already looking forward to the next time!!

My wife and I decided to give this place a shot since this is one of the few halal establishments despite some of the negative reviews. To my surprise, some of the comments are untrue. Though it may be a little pricey, I can truly vouch for the quality of food they serve; everything in Swiss is pricey anyway. Had the lamb briyani and butter chicken, 10/10. Lamb soft and tender without the bad smell of meat, rice covered in saffrons, and cooked perfectly. Authentic butter chicken, you could really taste the butter through and through. It’s unfortunate having some of the comments here; calling the owner scammer and such when the price is clearly stated on the menu. I had a good meal here and definitely recommended

Unfortunately it wasn't very busy for a Friday evening (which was a deterrent at first), but the food was very good and the waiter was very accommodating. Definitely recommended if you like Indian food (and also like spicy food).

As a birthday surprise, we booked a cooking class at the Taj Palace! We cooked Indian dishes with fresh ingredients and lots of great spices! We were able to enjoy the Indian hospitality and receive many valuable tips. Plus: we even received our own recipe booklet to cook with. It's small restaurant with Indian accesories inside, but they have a space to eat and drink backyard restaurant with a river view. It's nice to seat especially in summer time. The self service menu we have is Naan (traditional bread), chicken biryani rice, chicken curry, vegetables. Some people afraid of spicyness of Indian Cuisine, but it is not. It is mild spicy so you can enjoy it.

The cooking course offers a very interesting insight into Indian cuisine with many different dishes. And it was delicious!

We ordered through Uber Eats. The food is horrible, never, never, ever again. The food is 100% pre-packaged and then frozen and warmed up at -18 degrees (see photo). Absolute rip off for 29.50! The sauce is spicy, but it doesn't even taste like curry, it's just some indefinable sauce, really disgusting. The "Planted Chicken" pieces are 100% not planted chicken. Truly the worst Indian food I've ever had! At best on the level of airplane food. As others write, any vegan microwave dish from the coop is better.

I ordered via TooGoodToGo, never again. What I received was a spicy, indefinable porridge with few vegetables and hard seeds on top. It's a shame when you sell food like that on a non-profit platform.

Unfortunately I ordered through Too good to go!! Really bad food. The indefinable mush consists mainly of rice with a grayish, spicy sauce. Occasionally pieces can be seen that could be peas/chickpeas. No more!!!!

Just don't order through Too Good to Go. You get a carelessly thrown together mush that tastes a bit spicy like curry and otherwise just floury due to the chickpeas. Everyone else who got a “surprise portion” had the same portion as if the Sellbe had been cooked for everyone who picked it up. Every cent was wasted, unfortunately...

Don't order too good to go! As others have reported, the "dish" consisted of a tasteless broth with rice. 1 tbsp vegetables, some uncooked chickpeas (poisonous). I find it just as difficult to prepare this at home. Where is this on your card? For me, it's anything but what too good to go stands for. A pity

I thought the food was excellent! There was a very large selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes, as well as many menus with meat. However, I thought that the staff could have been a little friendlier, they mostly seemed annoyed. Otherwise great!

A peine rentrés on a tour de suite vu que le restaurant était... vide!!! Une fois installé, le serveur (accueillant comme une porte de grange) nous apporte une feuille ou l'on doit écrire nos coordonnées... et là... on voit qu'ils n'ont pas eu de clients depuis 3 semaines!!! La nourriture doit être d'une fraîcheur...! On décide tout de même de commander une entrée... bilan: dans l'ensemble ce n'est pas trop mauvais mais les crevettes n'ont pas de goût, la "salade" au yogourt on dirait plutôt du pain mâché et les sanoissas et le poulet sont hyper épices qu'on ne sait même plus ce que l'on mangeait de base... alors oui c'est ce se être eoice pour ce genre e nourriture mais de la à gâcher les saveurs et à ce que ça brûle autant la bouche c'est du gâchis. Tout et étant les seuls clients nous avons du attendre 20' ! Sans parler d'une demi bouteille d'eau à 7chf ! Ok nous sommes en Suisse mais faut pas prendre les fens pour des imbéciles non plus... après sa nous sommes partis en laissant tout de même un petit pourboire mais pas forcément mérité... on peux trouver beaucoup mieux !!

Essen banal, gutes indisches Bier, verstaubte Einrichtung und wenig freundlicher Service. Drei Vorspeisen, vier Hauptspeisen, vier Biere und zwei Kaffee, ein paar Nan: 280 Franken. Lohnt sich nicht.

It's not a great place for diners but can be a life saver if one is looking for Indian food.

Not sure why the rating of the place is so low.. we have been there with a voucher from one of a "surprise boxes". We got a vegan menu and a nice lime-aloe drink. The food was great and I think we were served by the owner who was very happy to describe the dishes and help with choice of drinks. The atmosphere is nicely authentic with Indian deco and music. We had a great evening!

Mein Mann hat von mir einen indischen Kochkurs geschenkt erhalten.Wir waren mit einem anderen Paar im Taj Palace. Der Besitzer gab uns zuerst einige Infos über die indische Küche und die Gewürze. Danach ging es in die Küche, wo wir mit seiner Frau kochen durften. Es gab zuerst zwei Vorspeisen und den Massala-Tee, welcher wir dann gemeinsam essen konnten. Danach ging es wieder in die Küche, wo wir dann noch diverse Gerichte zubereiten durften. Die Infos und Rezepte waren sehr hilfreich und die Gastgeberin sehr freundlich. Es war eine gelungene Erfahrung.
