Tenz in Zürich

After ordering momos from Tenz home many times, I wanted to eat here. I have found that eating in a restaurant has no added value compared to home delivery. My companion found the momos very doughy. The service was friendly, but not very attentive. You have to give signals and usually wait a while until someone comes. Uncomfortable chairs, although nicely decorated. The main focus is on take away, not on the restaurant.

Very bad experience at Tenz, a worker who wears a cap, served me with a bad character, if you are going to work in a restaurant you should serve with joy if you are not prepared for that job, it is better not to work in restaurants. 0 customer service

Tenz Momos have been "THE" definitive Tibetan dumplings restaurant in Zürich and have increased their footprint within the city as the forerunners of culinary delights. Their trademark hot sauce remains a mainstay with its ubiquitous presence on every table delivering the punch as promised. The recent addition of the "Thenthuk" noodle soup to the menu has been the icing on the cake. Always the best vibes with the warmest hospitality. Look no further. When you're at Tenz, you're home.

Tenz has authentic Tibetan momos and their gemuse suppen is awesome! I like their vegetarian Momos, Rindfleich Momos, Classic Tibetan salad and Cheesecake. What makes it stand out is their service and friendliness. I've been a regular and they're consistently good in their food and taste.

I've been coming to Tenz since it's opening, and I must admit, the quality of their momos still remains the same, tasty and fresh! I also really enjoy their Indian tea. Tastes really good.

Fantastic food, tasty drinks, prompt and friendly service. Super tasty dishes from starters to main courses and dessert. In addition to cola etc., homemade iced teas, fresh tea, matcha latte and coffee are also available. Since Tenz Momos are very popular, the atmosphere in the restaurant gets very loud at times. A visit is definitely recommended!

The momos are very good, unfortunately they rarely answer calls (for orders).

I haven't experienced such unfriendly staff in a long time. She can't speak a word of German and simply doesn't feel like working. Sorry, but a personality like that has no place in the service.

There was a misunderstanding when I ordered and I was served a few more momos than what I ordered. When I shared this, there was no discussion, as with some other restaurants. They then apologized accordingly and even gave me the momos :) I think this approach is great, and shows that the staff behaves professionally and nicely even in these situations. I will therefore visit a Tenz restaurant again in the future.

Great food, good atmosphere, you don't get stressed as a customer. Prices are completely okay.

Looks like they raised prices. CHF 2.30 per momo quickly adds up. If you‘re hungry it gets expensive.

Best momos- veg as well as beef! The spicy sauce is BRILLIANT!

We went for dinner here and surprisingly nobody seemed to be having dinner. More than restaurant, I would say it’s a bar with some dumplings as “tapas”. Food was ok but there is not enough offer to have dinner there for more than 2 people. We were two and had to order almost everything . In any case vibes were really nice and I would recommend it as a place to go after having dinner somewhere else

Best Tibetan Momo Restaurant in Switzerland

A must go whenever you feel you need momos in your life. Great value for Zurich, nice location, cool vibes.

The employees are very friendly and fulfill almost every wish. And the momos are some of the best I've eaten in my life!!!

My absolute favorite Momo's! No matter whether meat momos, vegi, vegan or öpis nois! They are all super tasty and the spicy sauce (soy sauce) with it is just a perfect combination! Love it! ✨

A good offer of dumplings. If you love them, this is the right place. Anyway be sure to get a reservation, and this is not trivial since their website not always works properly.

Since my family likes to eat Momo's, we came across Tenz very early on. Unfortunately, I have had bad experiences EVERY TIME over the years. The staff is (really) so unfriendly every time that after our last visit I have decided to no longer support this family and company.

I love momos but I wouldn't consider their momos the best. The skin of the momo was too thick and not much soup in the momo. Menu was very limited. The Shapaley was very tasty and would recommend it. The pickles, salads, and the yogurt sauce were all excellent.

The meat momos are super delicious, as are the starter dumplings. Unfortunately, the veggie and vegan momos are very bland and lack spice and taste. The sauces are delicious and the staff is friendly. Worth a visit.

The momos are ok, not bad but also not very good for a person who doesn’t eat meat. The ingredients from the vegan ones are not matching good in my opinion, to improve they could give them more taste. The veggie ones are ok, they could improve with the cheese. The cucumber salad is amazing! But for meat lovers I know that option it’s incredible!

I tried momos for the first time in Tenz and was pleasantly surprised. The taste is very nice - the ‘öpis neue’ is the best and you should definitely try it! I very much liked the veggie one too, while the meat flavor was not my fav - the content of the dumpling was not smooth, it formed a lump which fell out of the dumpling when trying to cut it. I am in love with their ginger lemonade and it is probably the best one I have had in the same price range. Overall the place is fairly priced, the personnel is attentive and food comes quickly. Always happy to come back!

I've been a regular for a bit over a year now and went to Tenz almost every week. Unfortunately lately I haven't been as happy with the food and service as I used to. For one, the very popular tomato-salad was cut from the menu. Also there has been a price increase, so for example 10 Momos are now 3 CHF more expensive. (15% increase) The service in the restarurant is very unreliable. Worst so far, was having to wait arround 15min until the server even came to pick up our order. It then took arround 10min until we got our drinks and another 15 to get our food. I have always spoken highly of Tenz, therefor I am quite sad about this development.

Me and my bf are from New York and came to visit Zurich for just one day but we made sure to come see Tenz after hearing such great things about it! We are both Tibetan but agreed this was some of the best momos — and maybe THE best ever — that we have ever tried! Highly recommended :) excellent service as well!

Deliveries around lunchtime usually arrive late, but that could also be because of the eat.ch delivery service, although they always arrive hot. In the evenings, as far as I can remember, they were usually on time. Local orders are usually very quick as there are usually no queues. I ate once at Lochergut on site, took two or three meals from Langstrasse and ordered the rest home. Momos are delicious especially the vegetarian ones. Fresh vegetarian momos are by far better than frozen ones from Coop or Migros and possibly even larger. The ones with meat also taste good straight from the package. The sauces are fresh and taste excellent (you have to buy them separately for the frozen ones). The only point for deducting the stars is that the meat often has tough pieces in it, regardless of whether it is fresh or not (so somehow not the best meat?). It's happened to me too many times now that it could be a coincidence.

We reserved a table and then they told us everything was occupied. Very disappointed

Some of the best momos I have ever had. Both the vegetarian and meat options are great. Their spicy sauce pairs better with the meat ones in my opinion. That being said everything is good here.

I think the food was great, but a little disappointed with the organization. I placed a pre-order 40 minutes ago (by phone) and said I would be there in 20 minutes. After 40 minutes I'm still waiting for my order..

You have to try it once! The momos at Tenz are in a class of their own. The staff is very friendly and you feel at home. I would definitely recommend it for a cozy evening with friends.

The vegetarian momos are absolutely amazing! The Opis Neues simply blows minds. Try it with the Tibetan chilly sauce and you'll know what I mean. 🤩 The last time when we were there, we had a real trouble getting our minds off the taste explosion to hold a conversation.

Excellent relation quality-price, very tasty food the Shapaley and Tsepaly were nice discovery about the momos the Öpis my favourite however all of the choices there are very tasty and the chilli sauce is very good

One of the best places for momos. The vegan and the rindfleisch momos are delicious especially with Tenz's homemade chili paste. Their Green iced tea is also great. The place is usually packed but it's always worth the food. I've been craving for momos from Tenz since 2019 and only had the chance to sinky teeth in them again this year. Menu is in German.

The food was alright. The dough was a bit too much and the environment was really weird. I wouldn’t recommend going there especially in the night.
