Great vegetarian options to choose from. Quality is excellent and taste is really good. It can get very crowded at times.

High quality vegetarian cuisine. Highly recommended if you don't have a problem with the self-service buffet. Prices are at the higher end for self-service. I can definitely recommend tibits!

Nice atmosphere, a variety of options but it does not mean you will find everything you like.

Everything tip top in terms of food and ambience. But since I visited the toilet, I have had to deal with a guilty conscience because I was informed that my paper towel in the toilet used 1.7 liters of water. By the way, there is no indication of how much energy the electric hand dryer uses...

05.03.2024 Dear Tibits 5 years later, although progress has been made, it is still insufficient. This morning, I want to have a kebab sandwich, I ask with scharfe sauce. Monsieur puts the sauce with his back turned, I watch, he uses his unwashed fingers, without gloves to keep the sandwich open. I pointed out to him: he must use gloves. He tells me there is the paper. Who tells me he washed his hands properly the last time he was in the bathroom? I was intransigent 5 years ago, I have been even more so since I fell ill because of a negligent person like your employee (it was not at your place), I thought that with covid you had learned the lesson, apparently not. You have to be uncompromising on this point, your front office employees handle various things, you cannot afford for customers to get sick. You seem not to properly train your staff on hygiene rules (which already applied well before covid). 06.21.2019 Well placed, but a shame 1° that the staff allows themselves to be on familiar terms with the customer, no definitely I don't appreciate this new fashion for supposedly being close to the customer and offering a new experience. Yes, I'm also young, but it's a story of education and knowing how to live. 2° the staff who touch the change, the glasses, and many other things and who are not careful and put their fingers right in the middle of the sandwich-inside- and find a way to touch the desserts also with their fingers while there are tweezers for that, hello hygiene. It's the same problem in all the subsidiaries, and no matter how much you point out, the problem is recurring. No thanks. Too bad because they have some good products.

Food is delicious! Everything is fresh, and I was amazed by the variety of vegetarian options. Very easy going, good for a spontaneous quick dinner with a friend or takeaway. The only downside are guests, which are not consistently returning the empty dishes, but staff is trying their best to keep tables clean. P.s. chocolate mousse is to die for!

My favorite Tibits in all of Basel. The brunch and cafes are a 9/10 ⭐️ The food is more or less always the same and like desserts, there is rarely anything new. The service is very attentive and there is a friendly atmosphere between the employees. Cappuccino is very creamy, only the oat milk could be better. The shop itself offers enough space, it has a large terrace where the sun shines directly on it. Au a great place to work/study. Small suggestion for improvement: Please ensure that the WiFi works better.

The music selection is just horrible and unnecessary for me. A pity!

A shame it is so expensive when the price doesn’t include starter or dessert. Otherwise the atmosphere is pleasant, staff attentive and the options of food are good. The dried beans is always a winner! Just a shame they shut down in London as it’s a good place to go and eat if you’re alone.

Disappointed again with the Tibits franchise, this time for breakfast, Dishes nicely presented but the taste is not there, it is not very good, and if we talk about the quantity then I would say that it is not enough to justify the price. I can understand for other franchises like Starbucks will always be a winner for the proposition of offer, quantity, quality.. There are also dishes that are really not good and others that do not have the good taste that we expect, An example is the papaya, a fruit which was not ripe, was not good, and which was also heavy and therefore cost a lot on the scale, Most of the people who come here in the morning have a drink, that says it all... My rating of 1/5 is harsh but is justified to correct the overall rating, too high for this restaurant

Damn bad service. Me and my girlfriend went to tibits Gundeli on December 31st, 2023, shortly before leaving for Paris. We went to the bar and there it was written, service at the bar. The employee greeted us and then just left us on the left. Another woman who also worked behind the bar noticed us, but also ignored us. I find that rude to us.

We didn't have reservations for the vegan fondue and they were able to make it for us at the last minute. Plus they were so nice about it. I would definitely go back! The fondue was amazing!

Anyone who knows Hiltl, which is similar in concept, will be disappointed. Much less choice and by no means as cleverly seasoned and diverse as there. But similarly expensive. Also very busy at lunchtime. Not for a leisurely meal.

Despite the buffet and lots of choice, the food is simply not cooked deliciously. E.g. scrambled eggs too cheesy, bread (apart from the delicious nut bread) dry and not edible, tiramisu (with low-fat quark?) too watery and sour. Overall, at these exorbitant prices of 47 CHF per kilo, the quality of the cooked food is poor (even though the ingredients may be good). You should only go there for coffee, it's the only thing worth 5*.

Every visit to Tibits feels like a time out. The staff personalizes this and makes it a wonderful stay!

Fresh buffet exceptional quality

The food is good but a little expensive. You have to get it yourself at the counter, which is why I deducted a point and because it is too expensive for my taste. The staff was very friendly and it is conveniently located at Basel train station. Everything is also very well written as vegan. It has a nice outdoor area.

Very happy that a Tibits restaurant finnaly opened in Basel. This is a fantastic place for vegetarians, with lots of very good options at a reasonneable price. And the location is also great, just a minute away from the train tracks.

Very tasty, cozy, friendly. Too expensive in my opinion. But ok every now and then.

I’ve been returning to this restaurant for a while, trying to give them another chance but they have a real problem with SALT. Try their roasted vegetables or tofu, you’ll have to spit it out, but also other dishes, everything is so so salty, it’s disgusting and unhealthy. On top of this, their veggies are not really fresh and their prices are ridiculous.

I wish there was a place like this in Northern California. A huge selection of vegetarian items to select from. Fill your place with whatever and how much you want then weigh your plate to determine the cost. Fresh juices, coffees and other beverages are available along with cakes. Delicious, seasonal, healthy food. A must for any vegetarian to visit. My meat eating husband likes it here too.

The goal is to eat quickly and correctly. Goal achieved. We remain in the concept of fast food and not haute cuisine but the quality-price ratio is very good.

I always enjoy coming to tibits Gundeli. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the staff is always friendly. The selection of vegan and vegetarian dishes is simply great, I'm always happy to try something new. The prices might be a little less but everything is super tasty. And thank you for having an air-conditioned restaurant, it's a relief in midsummer.

Only had a ginger beer. There you can get real beer mixed with ginger concentrate. Tastes great!

Lovely atmosphere. The self-serve buffet (pay per gram) has foods of many cuisines, many gluten-free options and all allergens are clearly marked. I found the dishes delicious. Lots of seating inside and out. You can also prefer drinks and snacks from your table using a QR code.

Tibits is the only place in the world where you can eat rice at 40 Frs per kilo without blinking and without realizing it. But the success of Tibits is that it doesn't take away from the pleasure of enjoying everything else. Design- Dessert- Availability.

Delicious and varied vegetarian and vegan dishes. Affordable prices. The water in this restaurant is free unlike other Swiss restaurants and cafes where you pay to have tap water (but without limit). Too bad it doesn't display the names of the dishes or at least the ingredients in French or English. Helpful, welcoming and smiling staff.

The breakfast was very simple, but tasted good. In principle, the animal components of the desserts and spreads were replaced with a plant-based alternative, i.e. there was nothing innovative about it. You have to get everything yourself. So there is no direct service. But the staff is very nice. We were there in the evening too. The food was significantly better there.

The best brunch I've ever had! Of course 49.- is a hefty price, but what you get for it is simply great! Everything is fresh and made with love. Lots of vegan things. It was just SO delicious!❤️ The team was super nice too. We also felt very comfortable because the ambience and the room layout were very comfortable. Very nice discovery! The place is spacious, well lit by large bay windows, a large terrace which overlooks a square. The parking lot is right opposite. The brunch buffet is very well stocked, with lots of choice, both sweet and savory. Everything is delicious. I would go back there, it's so nice and good.

Incredible selection of delicious vegan food (buffet). Here you can find everything you can imagine in vegan form and at the same time super tasty, super healthy and super creative and diverse. Huge recommendation, especially for tourists, as it's right at the train station and you can easily pay with an EC card. Top location, not too crowded, lots of comfortable seats, great interior design. It's a shame that tibits isn't available in Germany yet!

Just wanted something to drink. After standing in line at the checkout for about 5 minutes (the place was pretty full and only 2 checkouts were open), the employee closed the checkout right in front of us. We would have been last in line. For the high prices, the service should be significantly better. It's a shame that this restaurant offers such poor service (self-service). Was my last visit.

I went to Tibits in Gundeli for lunch with a friend last week as it is perfectly located and a vegetarian self-service restaurant. The food is always fresh, varied and very tasty. You create as much as you feel like and pay according to weight. I never have leftovers on my plate: no food waste. The staff is very friendly and attentive; the empty plates are cleared away and if you're a bit lucky, an espresso is even served. Thank you very much for the feel-good lunch break. I'll be back...

Anyone who has a relaxed If you want to spend Sunday brunch in a good mood, DO NOT go to Tibits Gundeli. We have never been greeted, served and treated in such an unfriendly manner by restaurant staff, although unfriendly is a gross understatement. We were perplexed and ultimately horrified by such impudence - different categories. The advertising includes juice (or Prosecco) and croissants. We had to ask for the former twice and didn't even get the latter. All this after the cappuccini had been put in front of us in a "take these and goodbye" manner. Apparently you don't need to make guests feel welcome.👎🏼 Not recommended!

We arrived a few days early to see Basel before our cruise on the Rhine. This restaurant was a fabulous idea and executed wonderfully. It has the type of food we normally eat. Great choices and lots of them. It was hard to decide on what to fill your plate with. And very cost effective in that we paid only for what we wanted. We dined at some Michelin starred restaurants in Paris; we probably never go back to them, but we would be excited to eat again at Tibits.

There is apparently no Sunday brunch, as mentioned on the website. According to the website, you should be able to have brunch at your discretion for CH 49.-. But no one on site knew that. Each plate had to be weighed and paid for individually - no one knew anything about the total price and at discretion. Otherwise the food was great - but that's a real shame.

Good vegetarian and vegan buffet restaurant, where you pay by weight. Interesting selection of products, both hot and cold. The place is decorated in a modern and elegant way, is quite spacious and has many outdoor tables. The choice of food at the buffet seemed a little less varied than in other restaurants in the same group, especially for the simpler palates of children: it would be useful to always have dishes that are not too elaborate available.

The selection of vegan food is constantly expanding and I am particularly pleased. The selection at the buffet is sufficient and appealing. Anyone who likes to take turns eating is in good hands here!
