Treichler Zuger Kirschtorten AG in Zug

Is it the friendly shop staff or the friendly service or the fantastic Treichler Zug cherry cake? All together GREAT👍🏻

I have had the opportunity to visit your café several times. I was impressed by the variety of options, but as a vegan I struggled to find a meal that fit. I've probably tried ordering a vegan breakfast that's on the menu 10 times now. Unfortunately, the vegan butter always runs out. This left me hungry and dissatisfied while my colleague enjoyed breakfast for normal people. I was disappointed that I came away empty-handed on every visit and instead had to make do with a few espressos without a milk alternative. I hope that in the future you will be able to offer a wider range of vegan options and ensure that the ingredients on the menu are always available. It would be great if you were one of the first cafés in the canton of Zug to really offer something for vegans. Please also consider people with milk intolerances or other allergies who need an alternative milk. I believe you have the potential to successfully implement these changes and I hope my review will contribute to this. I look forward to seeing a wider range of vegan options on your menu next time I visit. Thank you for your attention. Addendum: 03.2024 No response to recession. Went there again 2 weeks ago. I was so excited to learn that Audry Hepburn had frequented this place for its famous cherry cakes . I couldn’t help but get one for myself and it was a different world all by itself …. I can fully understand why Ms. Hepburn had made this her “go to” place. The lady was so sweet that she gave us some cherry chocolates too . Totally in love ♥️

We have now tried repeatedly and have not managed to get polite service here even once and have failed. We give up now. Luckily, in a city that offers much better baked goods and much fresher and better cherry cakes elsewhere, you don't have to go through that.

We got a cherry cake especially for the New Year's Eve party. Very exclusive, we thought. We would be very disappointed. The floor was no longer crisp and the outer wall had strangely peeled off. Not fresh, probably frozen in the meantime. A pity. Robert Brun, Ebikon

Very good kirschtorte, but the place is cramped with too many tables right next to each other, loud as a result, and you have to buy food yourself at the counter separately from the drinks...

Very nice service, but very busy (possibly understaffed). Hence some waiting times. The atmosphere is cozy when you're sitting on the bike; the seating in the middle is a bit cramped for my taste.

Service was friendly, but Zug cherry cake was better. Toilets, old and worn out taps. The cleaning lady probably never looks at the doors, disgusting fingers on the doors. I also looked at other doors. mold behind the faucet. What does it look like in the bakery?

Today 13.7 time 16:48 Cappuccino ordered twice and received at 4:55 p.m. and for the third time we heard from the motivated lady that they closed at 5:00 p.m. We feel like we are at the airport gate 35 heading towards the dream island😂 We drank the cappuccino in 3 minutes, the conclusion is that the service is faster.

We were here for breakfast and were unfortunately disappointed by the carelessly prepared plate. The Zmorgenturm looks nice, but for the 26chf at least the apple could have been sliced ​​if there was already packaged confit available. The extra cheese plate could also have used some decoration. Unfortunately, paying was a bit difficult as no one ever asked us if we needed anything else. Nice café, rolls were delicious, just the finishing touch to feel good was missing. (Especially since as a breastfeeding mom I got an alcoholic chocolate with my coffee)

There was no Lozärner Rägetröpfli with the latte, as stated on the menu. But full price was charged. Due to the hectic activity and volume, we couldn't even ask about it, as the waitress only came by to collect the money. Disappointing and our last visit.

Famous cafe of the famous Zug Cherry Cake. A bit strange service arrangement - you chose and pay for pastries and cakes at the till even if you want to seat-in, drinks are served by waiters. Service was correct, cake and tea tasty, place nice, clean and quiet.

Once again, we had to wait forever and no one came and served us. After 10 minutes of waiting we asked if we could order, even though the service person had walked past empty-handed numerous times (there were 4 people serving - no walking around). Then about 5 minutes later a service person asks what we would like (we have already ordered). After another 12 minutes since ordering, the two coffees finally arrive. Over the last 3-4 years I have often complained to the boss about chaotic service, but nothing has helped. I have also experienced that the drinks and the ice cream desserts were delivered twice (of course for several people at the table) because the service there is completely poorly organized. It seems like nothing EVER improves there. Also absolutely unfriendly staff!

The unfriendly service I've experienced in a long time. The order was not written down and the wrong one was promptly delivered. When we politely pointed this out, we were accused of having told her incorrectly. She then left without apologizing. We then left too, because you don't have to put up with something like that. I never thought that such service deserts still existed. And no, stress wasn't a factor. The café was half empty. Unfortunately never again!

Cafe-Pastry in the center of Zug. The cakes and buns we ate were delicious. The only exception is Zuger (which 'advertises' more than others) for having a too strong liquor flavor. Even so, the rest was very good, of quality and very good attention from all the staff, both in the pastry shop and in the cafeteria. Very good coffee too. The price is perhaps a little high, but it is worth it.

About two weeks ago I was there on a Sunday because two other bakeries nearby that I had previously chosen were already closed. The opening hours are at least the longest here. The piece of traditional cherry cake and the coffee were definitely very tasty and could still be eaten at a leisurely pace despite the opening times. It's the only café that stays open the longest. The service when ordering was very friendly. It would have been good if it had been open longer, as you could have ordered a second piece afterwards. Will come back as soon as possible. Thank you.

The taste of cherry cake and Tiramisu is at the top of the league; however, the shop seems a little unorganized and service can improve as well.

Yesterday we traveled from Rappi to Zurich with the MS Linth. Ate wonderfully. Enjoyed a Zug cherry cake from Treichler for dessert. Had to order one online from Treichler Zug today, it was that good.

Let yourself be called the “inventor of the Zug cherry cake”, but at this high price there is definitely something else possible! 4.90 for a regular coffee. That's what I call top class. Mind you, without Chrömli or Schöggeli, but with very poor, unfriendly service, where the tip itself is rounded up!

Food and drinks in the cafe are good and the place is nicely decorated so that you could feel comfortable. Unfortunately, when I visited, the staff always seemed annoyed that they were there.

Kirsch pies are a sure bet not to be missed under any circumstances. The room service is a little sleepy on the other hand.

To get straight to the point... the cherry cake is great. Otherwise, the restaurant is bright but the seating is tight. The service is friendly but disorganized (I was asked twice what I would like and the cake was eaten when the coffee came). The ordering process is also not really customer-oriented. The coffee is brought to the table, the specialty - alo the Zug cherry cake, I had to get it from the buffet myself.

Zug cherry cake is the best in the entire region. However, the staff are not the friendliest and the waiting time for drinks is very long. You have to be a regular to receive friendly service.

Fast service changing dessert menu. Depending on the season, a strained dessert. Size selection of cakes. Small menu but nice. If you feel like it, there are small, fine patesseries at the counter. Eating is always an experience, but the service is slow and inattentive, which is a shame. E.g.: There were two of us and we ordered two different breakfasts, but we only got one plate and a knife. Nevertheless, I can recommend it and will go there again.

VERY unfriendly service and inflexible (I ordered a coffee first and then wanted breakfast without a drink because I already had my coffee. That wasn't possible because I was working on my laptop). I've now switched to Speck, everything is much friendlier there. They also discussed their mistakes and problems loudly and loudly so that the customers at their table could hear it. I won't go next time, the service really ruins the cozy atmosphere and the fine food.

I enjoyed the cakes they are delicious. The location and the interior of the restaurant are pretty.I have to say for the high priced selection and the self pick up by the entrance for pastries and cakes I was very disappointed with the service off our waitress. She was rude and handed us the hot chocolate to our hands. She did not evan look at us said sorry or thank you when we payed the bill. I highly recommend the manager to fix that issue. Its unacceptable for someone to treat a costumer with that attitude I call it rude.

Absolutely unfriendly staff! Fake smile and absolutely disinterested in the customer, incompetent and cheeky! When I ordered my 6 croissants, the lady behind the counter asked me if I would eat them all?! Another time the coffee was out of croissants and the waitress said I had to go to the front of the counter and get some!! Croissants are dry, cold chocolates are watery, minerals with berries and syrup are far too sweet and too expensive! Tables are often not cleared and you have to wait a long time! Simply far too expensive for this quality, this service and the operation! I have had this experience several times in a row, friends of mine were also served maliciously, now I was there for the last time!!!

Had a very tasty Bircher muesli with super fresh and fluffy bread. The staff was very nice and accommodating. Can only recommend it! :-)

Went for breakfast a Sunday morning with my 1 year old daughter..the shop it’s not family friendly they don’t have at all a kids chair so you can’t eat breakfast with your 1-2-3 years old kid..

The food in the Treichler Zug is impeccable. But the service we had was unfriendly and seemed unmotivated/annoyed.

Delicious cakes/tartes! A tad too sweet, but otherwise in my opinion they have the best tasting ones in town. Not the standard "Schwarzwaelder", Apple tart stuff, but something more special & in good quality. For sure better than the ones that can be bought in Coop, Migros & the like. To my knowledge none of the other bakeries around here offers anything similar. Recently I was there twice, both times in the late afternoon. It was not crowded & there were mostly elderly customers. First time I chose a piece of cake directly at the showcase, paid & took it to a table to eat it. The second time I bought a piece of cake to go. The showcase seemed clean & since I wasn't there during "rush hours" I did not notice tables full with dirty dishes nor have I any complaint on response time of the staff so far. Both times I paid CHF 5.- by credit card. Though they do not accept AMEX. Not the cosiest place, but ok. So far have nothing to report on staff, neither bad experience nor anything special/good to mention.

I've been here on my last 2 holidays with nu baby. Nice place, great pie! Now back in Zug with our toddler. We wanted to drink and eat something buy there were no childrenchairs. I was very disappointed, how is this possible?
