Poor quality of raw materials. Non-existent flavors, they taste like those ready meals you heat up in the microwave. It's a shame, I had imagined it better!

My Valentine's Day visit to Tres Amigos Restaurant in Spreitenbach was an experience of mixed feelings. On a night that was meant for celebration, we were unfortunately turned away due to the restaurant being full, despite the bar area being visibly empty. This lack of flexibility and understanding from the management was quite disappointing. While we eventually got a chance to taste the food, which was okay but not particularly memorable, the initial interaction left a lot to be desired. Hoping for a more accommodating approach in the future to match the okay quality of their dishes.

Very fine food, not the best Mexican food I've ever tried but one of the best.

The food is delicious. The seating is a bit tight, which is why I often had to move the chair back and forth.

Nice authentic Mexican restaurant

Lunch service is always quick with large enough portions. Parking spaces can be found nearby. Easily accessible by train and public transport.

Unfortunately the bar is a smoking bar (but that has nothing to do with the one star), which is why we asked for a table in the restaurant - at 5 p.m.! for two! - looking forward to a delicious mojito. We were turned away rather arrogantly, even though the restaurant was only a quarter full at the time. We then enjoyed our mojito in the Exkino bar (very close and really cool!).

Unfortunately I didn't have a good experience in this restaurant. The restaurant area is very crowded, there is not much space and if you sit on the aisle, you will inevitably accidentally be bumped into by the waiters every now and then. Due to the narrow space, the basic volume is also very high and you can hardly carry on a conversation. My wife and I each ordered a cocktail and the burrito con pollo. The cocktails were ok, but the burritos were disappointing. The meat was hardly seasoned, it felt like 30% of the plate was pure processed cheese and the mixing of the ingredients in the burrito was poor. Sometimes you had meat, sometimes salad, sometimes chicken, sometimes pepperoni, but rarely a mixture. It's quite possible that the restaurant and the food are better when there are fewer visitors. The staff was absolutely friendly and you were served quickly despite the restaurant being full.

Delicious mexican food and margeritas! (can also order a carafe to share) It's very suitable for small groups (up to 5-6 people). There is also a dedicated area for smokers, so make sure to check you are not in the wrong place.

Good food and friendly service. Cramped between the tables and at the table with the food. Acoustically it was rather loud.

Great ambiance, had Mexican decor, authentic music playing in the background, lovely wait staff. I ordered a mango margarita and nachos, and then the poncho villa chicken taco and the “Latin lover”. The drinks were generous sizes and very sweet. The nachos had a lot of real melted cheese, beans, jalapeños and a side of veggies you’d usually find pickled in jalapeño juice, but these weren’t. The salsa is the euro version since most people out here do not like spicy stuff. The “taco” wasn’t really a taco, it was like a fajita someone made for you (but I always cook my tortillas first). It wasn’t bad, it just was not a taco. They had photos of street tacos on the menu and I said I wanted that. It was not what I got and I think the waitress was just a bit confused. Like I said, it wasn’t bad, I still ate all of it, it just wasn’t what we know as a taco. The servers were super nice and asked me if I wanted them to bring me anything else from the kitchen, like I said, it wasn’t bad, I ate it all, it just wasn’t what we would call a taco back in California or Mexico. They were still super nice and offered dessert or coffee. The service was great, the atmosphere was great, the food just needs to change up the naming convention and then they’d get an extra star.

The non-mexican food (spare ribs) is nice but the actual Mexican food is most definitely not up to standard. The price point is surprisingly high, resulting in a poor price-quality ratio. The place feels crammed with little space and no separation between tables, which makes the place feel like a loud and uncomfortable school cantina. On the other hand service was impeccable. Quick, helful and friendly.

I paid 26 francs for just a small portion of natural nachos with salsen and a drink without alcohol, too much, a sauce that was very sour and probably old, I said and paid for it anyway. Not a good experience.

Portions are incredibly small. This was supposed to be for 3 people???? How come???

The food was OK, nothing special for a Mexican restaurant, you could also make the burger at home where I ate. Service took a bit of time but was OK. You don't have to go there twice, I've seen it. Thanks

Friendly service. At lunchtime, Tex-Mex or a weekly menu with plated dishes. These are good and inexpensive. I can recommend it.

Disastrous treatment of regular customers, ungrateful, despite several visits with lots of tips. Service staff are cheeky and on a first-name basis with customers. Never again, my friends and work colleagues will never come there again.

The worst food I ever tried, it gives Mexico a really bad reputation with its food, the food has nothing to do with Mexico… Plus we waited almost to ours to get our food served on our food table… The food it’s very expensive we paid 290CHF. and the service it’s very bad. I will never every go there again People pls don’t waste your money and your precious time to go to a fake and non authentic Mexican restaurant and do go there.

The worst Mexican food I’ve ever tried. Gives Mexico a bad name. It has absolutely ZERO Mexican flavor. Our server told us the owner is from Sri Lanka and doesn’t know much about Mexican food. No wonder 🤦🏻‍♀️. It’s definitely false advertisement. So, if you are expecting good Mexican food, please avoid this place at all cost. And on top of everything, It’s over priced!

Went there for dessert. We quickly got a place outside. The service was friendly and the dessert came quickly too 🤩

You should order the beer in bottles, otherwise it may taste like washing-up water (several experiences...)

Great Mexican restaurant in the middle of oerlikon. Good atmosphere. Seating is available inside and outside. Staff speak English and the menu is relatively understandable for non German speaking customers. The cheeseburgers are relatively big and served with guacamole

Delicious food and cocktails! Came here with my best friend. Portions are generous like in the US and tastes the most similar as when I eat out at Tex Mex places in the US. Really the best Tex mex place I have been so far j. Europe.

We really enjoyed our lunch on the terrace. They were kind enough to bring also umbrella for us just to not eat in the sun. Service was good and fast.

Very very rude staff, they kept us at the door for so long and no one was able to explain to me and my girlfriend why we couldn't order. Three waiters came two said we can order the one that said we couldn't order, wouldn't let us order. Please stay away, all reviews are excellent but this was disgusting to witness. We spoke swiss german too, we're both swiss.

The quantity and quality of food was good but the Quesadilla con Verdura with boiled carrots, Zucchinis tasted awful together with cheese. The portions are good

I'm going to write this review in Portuguese because my German cost me a lot to learn and wasted on a review of this level. On the website it says that the restaurant is open until midnight, when we arrived at 11pm at the restaurant they told us that it was already closed, and in a very harsh and rude way, my friends and I were asked to leave. Another employee (who I think is Portuguese), very politely asked us to apologize and that we could come back at another earlier time. Unfortunately, we will never set foot in this restaurant again. Improve service! Just get better.

Zucchini in my food was inedibly bitter. The vegi enchilladas had nothing in them except zucchini and onions.

Yes, it wasn't at all what we imagined. The price-performance ratio for the food was not justified, the service was good, but what surprised us was that the waiter wasn't interested in why almost all of the fajitas tres amigos came back and why we didn't take it with us. People here you are walking into a tourist trap, the food was really low standard and we paid 150 CHF for it last Sunday without alcohol! Lg

Tres Amigos is the absolute pearl of a Mexican restaurant! The dish is super fine and absolutely impressed me. The service is extremely friendly and attentive. It's really hard to make sure you feel comfortable and that all your questions are answered. The atmosphere in the restaurant is really great. With the Mexican music in the background and the colorful decoration, you immediately get a Mexican feeling. There is also a large choice of options for vegetarians or vegans. D'guacamole and d'salsas are also highly recommended. Finally, all I can say is that Tres Amigos is highly recommended for all Mexican food lovers. It's definitely a place where you can feel comfortable and enjoy your meal. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Average tasting food, not gonna lie the flower in the salad is a nice touch. For a group two people (myself and a friend) we have TWO wait staff to ask what we want for drinks. Like why can't we get just one? Felt very strange. Also the seating arrangement and the tables were too close to each other . I was sitting on the outside of one of these rows near the aisle, and I had to get up each and every single time someone got in, or when food was brought. I came for dinner and ended up playing musical chairs instead. I'll be back MAYBE for a drink on the Terrasse only because its relatively close to my house. The location is nice.

I don't know what to say about the food. We arrived at the place and it was very crowded, with a waiting line. We waited outside for around 30 minutes (because there were people smoking in the internal area of ​​the bar). I made a reservation with anticipation, the table was not available, make me wait in the smoking bar, no one offer us a cocktail menu or anything. After we got out of the smoking area and went to the service, we finally found a place quickly. The service was relatively good the girl was professional.

Anyone who likes to eat meat, meat (res y cerdo)... fried, well seasoned in a burrito or as a costilla is always happy to come. Latinos and vegetables rarely go together. The prices are rather upper limit. The quality and preparation have always been flawless. Birthday surprises can also be ordered as dessert. The food was always very good. The staff was friendly as expected. The manager, on the other hand, is cheeky and abusive to the guests. That's not a host and unfortunately isn't possible these days. I definitely won't visit the restaurant again!

I've been here a lot. I can recommend the nachos and the burgers to everyone. Both are very good. Unfortunately, I didn't find the Fleich medallion that good. I can recommend the raspberry margerita to anyone who would like to drink something cool. They taste delicious, but unfortunately don't make you drunk, even in large quantities (2-3 liters per person).
