Best Chole Bhature in Switzerland

Had ordered chai and samosa. Samosa- tasted like those ready to cook samosas , totaly tasteless and not even chutney was served with samosas. Tea- it was just how one gets in indian college hostels.. just brown in colour but totally sweet warm water and nothing like a tea. They asked us to shift from our table while we were eating just to adjust some firangi’s which felt quite insulting.

The food was like home food it was simple and authentic taste, and in very reasonable prices.

Great food, location and aura. Situated just next to Interlaken west hbf. This is really nice Punjabi style Indian restaurant and have nice flavours, especially chai and aalu paratha, must try. Prices are also moderate. Definitely recommended when in Interlaken.

A very nice resturant owned by a very nice and friendly family. I am from India and can say that they serve real authentic Indian food. The only thing is that you have to wait quite a long in order to get your food served so make sure to place the order immediately you enter the restaurant.

Authentic Indian food. Must try Kadai Chicken

We ordered Butter Chicken and Kadhai Chicken with Tandoori roti. Everything was great! Really enjoyed the food.

The food was delicious and the staff was very kind. Even though I can't eat spicy food, they were very helpful by bringing me appropriate food. Portions are big, can also be enough for two people and the location is very central..

We visited this lovely restaurant for lunch, we had veg sambosa, roti, butter nan, butter chicken, and chicken biryani .. everything was fresh and delicious! Especially the biryani it has a very unique flavour. On the other hand , the owner made us feel welcomed ✨✨ I will definitely recommend it and will visit again👍🏻

Really good North Indian Punjabi food, in fact the best that we had during our entire Euro trip. We tried multiple dishes here, during our stay at Interlaken. Most of the dishes are really good. They serve freshly baked Butter naans, that go really well with Daal, and Butter chicken. We tried their Chicken Biryani as well. Although it's not authentic, but tastes good. Aloo poori is also very good, worth giving it a shot. Indian chai was average though.

The chai is amazing. The aloo poori is superb. The owner is the sweetest person, despite the straight face. Don’t judge the place from the ambience, one of the best I’ve come across yet in terms of North Indian food. Gazab chai.

Delicious and authentic Indian food in the heart of Interlaken ( unexpected in Switzerland ). Seems like a family run restaurant with the owner who serves tables too. The butter naan, lamb curry 🍛 and chicken masala was all delicious- as well as the Cucumber and yoghurt Raita. Similarly priced to other types of restaurants in Interlaken, however the ambience isn’t great with dirty table clothes and fluorescent lighting. Great food though.

Had food from here almost every day as it was authentic, homely Punjabi food which was rightly spiced and served piping hot. Run by a lovely Punjabi couple you will get the feel of home away from home! We walked in without reading any reviews as it was right outside Interlaken West station but it turned out to be the best! Don’t miss it..

Unfortunately nothing special. Naan, curries, raitas etc. There are better and cheaper alternatives in Interlaken.

Great food, very fresh and felt like homemade. We ordered Dal Tadka, Rumali Roti, Prawns Masala and Jeera Rice. Each dish was very tasty and authentic. Definitely recommended for tourists craving for Indian food.

We tried multiple indian restaurants in Interlaken and found it the best. Kadhai paneer was very tasty and tandoori rotis were soft. The owner is a very humble and gentle person.

The food is great. The owner is warm and welcoming. The restaurant is a respite from burgers pizzas and fries that dominate the rest of the city, especially if you're a vegetarian looking for Indian veg dining options. The aloo parathas come straight out of the tandoor, crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, unlike any other restaurant that serves parathas by roasting them on a tawa (pan). A must visit place if you're craving for Indian food. Kudos to the owner for setting this restaurant up! 🙏

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Indian food in budget. We liked the food very much there(especially with calming Indian music in background). Would love to visit this place again for sure. What we tried in Veg option: Tea, Veg Biryani, Mutter Paneer and Butter Naan. One thing lacking here was that place was little cozy and lack privacy but food will definitely make you happier :)

We(3 people )were there in Switzerland for 5 days but the best authentic Indian food we had was in this restaurant. We liked the taste and the service.The owner of the restaurant is very humble and a nice person. We would say that this is far better than any other expensive Indian restaurant. Strongly recommended for anyone who is visiting Interlaken West as it's very near to the train station.

5 stars for the authentic taste of India, and I wish I could give 5 extra stars for the owner's humility. Coming back to the food - they have rich and authentic North Indian cuisine -- ranging from all varieties of paneer, koftas, daals, chaat, samosa, naan, parathas, etc. The "Taste" -- is rich, flavourful, spices and masalas used are specific to the dish, and not just a common spice for all the dishes (which signifies the effort added into preparing the dish). Please note that the place is small but it is always clean, and well ventilated. (I have visited twice for Dinner on my trips to Interlaken.) Overall, the food will remind you of India. :)

The food is excellent for those who like Indian food. The meat is halal. The service is good and relatively slow. The place is crowded sometimes and the space is small.

Nice place to have diner after full day trip around Interlaken We as family liked the having dinner all five nights there and kids also enjoyed delicious food served specially rumali roti was very good And, chit-chat with Paaji was also refreshing after dinner and the big flag of India on the wall gives proud feeling

Food was okay and I would give 2.5 star rating however yes you get an Indian restaurant near the busy Swiss street so it could save you when you are starving..

You know this place is authentic Indian when they give you a spoon instead of fork to eat! By far the best Indian restaurant we tried in our short visit to Interlaken…ordered rajma and mixed veg and both very tasty! Also, the price point is lower than many so-called Indian restaurants around.

Good authentic Indian Restaurant. The Punjabi owner is personally overlooking the all personally. Excellent for snacks just us parathas, Chole Batura and so on. The Palak Paneer could improve. But over all a good restaurant…!

We had dinner here our first night in Interlaken and couldn't have been more impressed. The food was amazing and authentic. We got the butter chicken, chicken curry, and garlic naan everything was fantastic. Service was excellent, the staff was very friendly and attentive. Also if you like things on the spicier side ask for a side of their green chile sauce to top your meal with, it was phenomenal. Definitely a must go.

This place is a gem! Every dish is outstanding and home style. Could not recommend it enough. We tried the Chole Bhature, Kadai Paneer, Palak Paneer and Laccha Paratha amd loved them. Have not been to many better North Indian restaurants anywhere in the world, not just Switzerland.

The restaurant was very dirty and the food was very overpriced. There are many children disturbing the clients, one child was even picking her nose while looking at me. The food was quite late and when we ordered our drinks, my mother ordered water but she only git and empty glass. The fans were very dirty. There were many flies. When my sister and mother ordered “chole bature” they asked for not spicy chole, but they were very spicy and sour. The bature were extremely flat like chapati, when they are supposed to be very fluffy. The rumali roti kept falling apart when we tried to eat. The lassi was so sour that my father couldn’t even drink it.

We dined in at India King tonight and had the best Indian food! The palak paneer and mutton masala were delightful, I think the mutton masala was the best I’ve ever had- the meat so tender and moist. The spicy sauce and pickled veggies on the side were a welcome addition. We got to meet both father and son of this establishment, and they were so kind. Definitely come try it out and dine in - you won’t be disappointed!

First Indian restaurant in Interlaken! Owned and run by Punjabi family who are very nice and welcoming. Food was good. Sweet lassi was better than most I’ve had. Cozy restaurant with a beautiful view outside. Spoke with other Indians who frequent Interlaken Indian restaurants and all agreed this is the best one in town now.

The restaurant has nice views but unfortunately windows are covered with posters. Situated next to Interlaken West train station walking distance. Food was not the best Indian food we had. Ordered Biriyani and it doesn't look real. Had chili powder all over the rice. However the service is good and pleasant.

Very good Indian food. We loved the aloo paranthas. The owners were very polite and helpful. The location is right next to the Interlaken west train/bus stop. Will definitely recommend and come back.

The service provided by this restaurant is top notch! First day, I came to this restaurant, sat in a 2 seater table (later became 4 seater as there was some space constraint and they wanted me to sit comfortably) and ordered a plain briyani (cheaper option). I was served with a hot plate of briyani, grinded green chilli (for extra spice) and later I asked for raitha which was served for free. Had a nice meal and left for sight seeing. Second day, I went to a different Indian restaurant to try the same dish (again cheaper option). Firstly, I was moved politely from a 4 seater table to 1 seater (though the restaurant was really big and there were hell lot of empty seats, still I didn't complain as it didn't matter much to me). Secondly, I was served with a warm (not hot) plain briyani. No raitha, no grinded chilli (I noticed raitha was priced at 5CHF, seriously?!). I wanted to finish my meal soon and get outta there. I kinda felt like, the guests who ordered exotic dishes were treated well (but not sure about it). The same day evening, I came to this restaurant again and ordered the same dish. I didn't ask for anything else. This time, I was not only served with exactly the same way during my previous visit, but also with another extra add on! (brinjal curry I guess). Their service and food are top notch! The restaurant might actually look small but you'll feel home here :) I purposefully did not mention the other restaurant's name as my sole intention was to praise this restaurant and not to degrade the other one. The food was good in both the restaurants.

I don't understand less ratings at all! I'm indian origin, lived in US and Europe, this is one of the top restaurants flavor wise! We had chole bhature, kadhai paneer, fresh lemonade, chai, rajma. Superb! We went to other Indian restaurants too when in town but this one you shouldn't miss!
