Great hospitality with a boss who lives his job and loves !!!!

Looks nice, but staff overwhelmed, although there were few people, I wasn't served

I went to dinner with my boyfriend and my 3 month old daughter. He ordered a vegetable lasagne (he got a tiny portion), and they wanted to charge me 5 CHF for tap water because I hadn't consumed anything. I told them I didn't want water and they told me then I had to leave. So I had to take to the streets with my daughter.

Unfortunately I was in a rush and only had time for two quick beers, but I'm full of praise. Nice quiet location - great in the sunshine. Super friendly and attentive service. The menu and especially the selection of rum also looked very awesome.

Nice place for a coffee stop or small snack. Inside like in the temple, outside like in the garden. You shouldn't expect any culinary highlights and you should bring some time. But the store has good energy.

Near Basel SBB main train station. Right at a pocket of green park. Quick service for a morning coffee and croissant. Beautiful music inside and good service. Free wifi. Seems to have a full menu and quite some extensive selection of wine/liquor.

The location is really great. Invites you to linger. The problem, however, is the staff, especially the boss. I keep trying because I work nearby, but I'm always disappointed. You don't really feel welcome and you have the feeling that you are disturbing the staff while they are working. When you sit down, the first thing you hear is that you should be careful with your feet because otherwise the small tables will fall over. Solution: Mount 5 of these black feet on the bottom instead of just 3. The interesting thing is that there are always new staff (because many of them probably can't stand it any longer), but they take over the negative mood from this boss and then pass it on to the guests. A lot would be possible with this beautiful place, what a shame!

When I saw this place from the picture, I didn't expect anything and just went there cause it was close to where I was. The Kleine breakfast was perfect. quality of the butter and homemade jam was so delicious and coffee and Bread was amazing as well. It might not be fancy but very nice and comforting place. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast or brunch. They accept Cards and you don't need reservation in the morning.

Ich möchte dieses Cafe nicht mehr aufsuchen. Die Bedienung draußen war nicht wirklich höflich, wirkte genervt und wollte im Endeffekt dass man schnell wieder geht. Nach 10 Minuten machte sich bereits Unruhe in der Dame breit, dass man doch als Gast zu lange sitzen würde. Ich finde das befremdlich und auch unhöflich. Drinnen der dort arbeitende Mann war wirklich extrem unhöflich... Ich war tatsächlich sprachlos. Dazu war der ,,Apfelkuchen" ein normaler Rührkuchen mit ein paar Apfelscheiben oben drauf. Das ist doch kein Apfelkuchen? Der Kuchen war trocken und viel zu süß und wie gesagt fehlte der Apfel IM Kuchen. Am schlimmsten fand ich jedoch, dass bei praller Sonne, die Schirme nicht geöffnet wurden. Zwei Mütter mit kleinen Kindern mussten gehen, da die Kinder ganz rot und überhitzt waren und anfingen zu weinen. Soetwas kann für Kinder, Senioren und auch ganz gesunde Erwachsene wirklich bedrohlich werden. Ich hätte es noch verstanden, wenn man für die Erwachsenen die Schirme nicht öffnet, aber spätestens wenn frisch gebackene Mütter mit ihren Säuglingen einen Kaffee dort trinken möchten, muss man so geistesgegenwärtig sein und den Frauen den Sonnenschirm anbieten. Generell war es einfach so unimsichtig dort... Es wurde überhaupt nicht mit den Gästen kommuniziert. Abfertigung wie in einer Kantine, Gemütlichkeit null.
