The Mc café in Solothurn is located next to the station with a beautiful terrace, large selection of coffee and other drinks, very practical for breakfast. Plenty of parking spaces including for people with reduced mobility, good starting point for hiking.

This is a nice café / restaurant which is 10-minute walking distance from Parco Ciani but convenient for lunch if you plan to kill some time at Monte Bré. The food is rather fast and includes pizzas, burgers, etc. The personnel is very friendly and it does not seem crowded at all. We ended up here by chance. Of note, pizza is not Italian style but regular, so do not overexpect!
