We found this place as a serendipity. Great food and such a friendly and humble owner Satnam ji 😀. Had a great conversation with him.
Get a take away and enjoy it sitting next to Rhine 👌🏽.
„Basler Liebi rostet nid, sie röstet!“
Always a pleasure to get coffee here - Knowledge, heart and soul is what you get here (alongside with the best coffee beans of course).
Friendly service, old school local business (cash only).
Insider tip: They sell unroasted beans as well so you can take them home and roast them to your taste. Absolutely recommended.
Don‘t forget to drink an espresso while you‘re here ☕️
It is a good Swiss pub, although not run by Swiss people. The landlady in particular opens at 6 a.m. and is really struggling like crazy. Also very good to eat, pizza in particular is fabulous and the prices are very moderate. I am very grateful to Heidi and the whole family.
We went to the confectionery with a group from the gymnastics club and poured chocolate. During a very informative tour of the production we were able to try many delicacies and end the evening with a great aperitif. If Basel wasn't so far away, I would only buy my chocolates here. But fortunately there is an online shop. Greetings from Thurgau
If you are a poor German railway worker who travels to Switzerland on business, you are happy that you can eat and drink here at "normal" prices.
PS: it's always a pleasure to eat so cheaply in Switzerland. There are also specialties from Swiss cuisine at German prices!
Forget all the other Piadina providers in Basel. It tastes best here by far. In addition, there are homemade dough pieces and no ready-made dough flatbreads from the supermarket bag.
