On the (summer) menu there are specific There were plenty of dishes, so the food was good! The service was very good and the prices were appropriate for the location (very nice view) and the food! A visit is always worth it! It is closed until March due to renovations
Dinner: The food was really very good, the prices corresponded to the portions, a wide selection. The rather unusual but very creative and considered dishes are beautifully prepared/presented. Very casual atmosphere, cozy and authentic and it had very nice staff. The only thing I found very unfortunate was that the food wasn't really "explained" orally. Because the dishes, at least the vegetarian starters and main courses, that we had, contained many different components. I would have really appreciated it if everything had been explained again, as I no longer knew what was in it - but that's actually what makes it! When it came to cheese, I also found it a shame how it was served to me: 3 pieces of cheese, fruit bread, plus chutney and diced pears. Unfortunately, it wasn't said what kind of cheese it was or what kind of chutney it was. That would be a point that really has room for improvement... because it also shows the appreciation for the dishes - and the dishes in the Eiger certainly deserve appreciation!
We were on the way to Valais last August and stopped for one night. very nice and uncomplicated reception at check-in. briefly put the stuff in the room and off to the restaurant. Cozy, good cuisine and nice service. As a surprise and end to a pleasant evening, a little yodeling at the (well-drunk 🤣) table... my city heart soared 🥰 all in all highly recommended with a very small disappointment: our bathroom deserved a little facelift, it reminded me of ours Holiday apartment in Diemtigtal at the time, really 70s (un)chic... but tolerable, everything was clean.
looking forward to the next stop in June. keep it up and see you soon.
We didn’t expect such a nice French inspired restaurant in Zweisimmen. Only had a short stay as we were headed early next morning to the balloon festival.
The brasserie surprised us by all means. Service, menu and drinks were fantastic. They had several kinds of mulled wine, rare find. Choosing from the menu was tough, everything sounds delicious. We opted for a daily soup, I had the tartare and my husband had the Suure Mocke from their winter menu. Flavors were great and we enjoyed everything. Unfortunately no more space for dessert. This place is reason enough to come back to Zweisimmen.
