Enjoyed a game meal in the restaurant last night! We were served an absolutely brilliant saddle of venison! Very fine and delicate! A good and very fair priced wine list with great Swiss wines! Lisa and her crew provided very friendly and attentive service! Sorry, a small flaw! The wine glasses! Maybe René Gabriel should go by! 😉.
But otherwise I'd be happy to come back and thank you very much for this cozy and culinary evening!
The Beckerstube in the Hotel Sörenberg offers a diverse selection of starters, from a delicious bruschetta to an authentic vegetable soup and a hearty Flädli Bujon soup. The pasta is particularly outstanding and is reminiscent of traditional Italian cuisine. The schnitzel is juicy, although the fries could be a little crispier. The pizzas are okay by Swiss standards, but not outstanding. The crepé is a rare treat and a unique option on the menu. The staff is extremely attentive and fulfills every special request of the guests, be it a smaller portion or special desserts for adults, which is not a given in all restaurants.
The family-run hotel is a bit old but very clean. The rooms are unusually large, but a bit noisy. Beds, bed linen, towels, everything was great! The hotelier is incredibly friendly and tries very hard. He personally serves breakfast very lovingly. It's rich and delicious. All of this at a moderate price by Swiss standards. Very good location with perfect connections to public transport. Overall, a clear recommendation!
We had a late lunch there on July 28th. Very well stocked self catering concept. Quality cuisine. Very pretty terrace! Lovely staff. Very quiet and nicely decorated place!
