We ate at this restaurant for the first time yesterday and I highly recommend it. The food was extremely tasty and the service was very accommodating. Unfortunately the restaurant is a bit hidden behind the tennis court but it's definitely worth the trip there.

Nach längerer Zeit entschlossen wir uns wieder einmal im Baseltor zu essen.Die Reservation machte ich über das Internet.Die Tische waren durch eine originelle Wand voneinander abgetrennt.Wie immer war das Essen sehr gut und die Bedienung sehr freundlich.

Tolles Restaurant Mit tollem Garten. Weine sind gut sortiert und es gibt eine große Auswahl. Essen kann man auch nur empfehlen. Immer wieder gerne.

The Gasthof Löwen is well located and can be easily reached both by car (plenty of parking spaces) and by public transport. The service was very friendly and humorous. We had a lot of laughs during our meal. The food was a bit mixed. We had beef tartare twice. This was very spicy - one in two people couldn't eat it due to the spiciness. Here, both the waiter and our side failed to ask about the level of spiciness. The chef kindly offered to make us a new tartare. The rest of the menu was great. We can highly recommend the fried chicken salad and the cordon bleu. The Kaiserschmarren at the end was also very tasty (a portion of two was enough for 7 people). The price-performance ratio was very good. All in all, we can recommend the restaurant.

A bit pricy, aspecially the wine. But the service and ambiance is perfect. If u wanna get the swiss experience you should go there.
