Very unfriendly, stupid code for the toilet you can't see

The Hug Bakery branch feels like another franchise alongside the usual chains like McDonald's and Starbucks nearby. It is nicely decorated but lacks character. The coffee was really good, but the pastries were just okay; you could just as easily have bought it in a grocery supermarket. In addition, the door was open when the outside temperature was 6°C, even though there was heating inside. I don't necessarily want to have to wear my jacket when I'm having a nice coffee - you don't have to understand that. The price was completely reasonable and the staff was also very friendly.

It's ok to eat here. It's a bit overpriced but fine. The service is poor, I probably haven't been served for 15 minutes. Then I wanted to go to the toilet and asked the checkout where, but I was ignored and had to look for another shop with a toilet. In the bakery there are many people who have too loud conversations on their cell phones, which is not so pleasant to eat there.☹️

The staff doesn't respond to you if you have something to complain about. Too expensive No go in the future, if you don't want to hear it, you'll feel it.

A beautiful and cozy bakery in the middle of Zurich on the busy Stauffacher. No matter whether it's breakfast or lunch, you can always find something delicious to eat here. You can either sit outside and watch the hustle and bustle at Stauffacher or you can sit at one of the numerous tables inside the bakery. The quality of the products is excellent and the coffee tastes delicious.

Very nice service. The products are also highly recommended and you can have them warmed up in the cafe and eat there.

Food is good, service poor. I bought a salad + sandwich and wasn't given cutlery or a napkin. This shouldn't happen in a store at this price point.

If I can be completely honest, the selection doesn't blow me away! Nevertheless, there are good things among them, but not enough selection. Anna, a black-haired woman with long, straight hair and about 25 years old, is very unfriendly and cheeky! Unfortunately, several times and once she even shouted aggressively at me? When I asked for a new salad because she tipped the salad from the container into the plate and a few lettuce leaves fell next to it and she demonstratively aggressively collected it and threw it in the plate! Because she knew I was watching. I reacted calmly to this provocation and unprofessionalism: “Hairy ones, but for a new salad!” She then screamed for about 10 minutes and lost control of her tone?! Disastrous person… I wanted to call the emergency psychiatrist…. Never again at Bakery Hug! The amount of staff being hired is astonishing?! Attacked me cheekily when I said something to her in a calm tone - irritable and unfriendly. Faith is somewhere from the East. However, she doesn't know manners and how to deal with customers?! Sadly never enter the store again

I bought a pretzel groisson, Wasn't through inside. Dough partly. raw. I complained. The answer from a saleswoman; I like it that way. From a gentleman: the oven is always set to the same temperature. Such unprofessional behavior is incomprehensible to me. I got upset and left the store. Sprüngli is unbeatable!...and cheaper.

It is one of the Bäckerei in Zurich, where you can find quality products every day, and you can also have a good quality coffee. The staff is very kind, they are very attentive to customer needs. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to have a coffee, or take-away or eat 🍴 on site. I highly recommend it for all citizens living in Zürich.

The coffee was the same color as the water bucket, the dirty tables and not even the girls serve you like you owe them your life, I haven't seen more antipathy, bad experience.

I'm there often. I can recommend it, the staff is very nice and now that it's cold it's nice to be inside the restaurant. And in the summer it's also cool to sit outside and enjoy your coffee.

The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is ok. Unfortunately we ordered a tomato soup and ate it together (my wife and I). Afterwards my wife vomited several times. I also had belching all afternoon. It was pretty obvious that the tomato soup was no longer good, or something was wrong with it. Hence the points deduction. For these prices I expect impeccable quality.

Every few days I enjoy my morning in this great bakery! My salami roll always tastes delicious and the coffee with it is great. It's always very clean and the staff are friendly! I'll always come back, it's worth it for a good start to the day! Keep it up!:-)

I went in to ask for some change. I said hello, to which neither lady responded. So disrespectful. When someone says hello, you should respond. And don't just shout "No" from a distance. (Short lady with black hair, incredibly disrespectful.) I will never buy anything from here. If you had at least been respectful and explained that you couldn't make change, it would have been a different story.

Ok, the coffee in Switzerland is very expensive and for the price it is self-service!! But does it have to be bad for the price? No!! Unfortunately no next time.

Good location, near the centre, and very comfortable setting to come in the morning for a coffee while reading the newspaper or a book or even to work with your laptop. Not very crowded either which is great. It is part of a bakery chain, although they also serve coffees, salads (as well as sandwiches) and even ice cream. They don't have the best of anything, to be honest, and there are many places that serve better coffee... but everything is pretty good and the place is simply quite nice and comfortable. Hence the score.

I bought a falafel salad today at Hug am Stauffacher...completely rotten salad, I couldn't eat it...probably from the day before! I'm actually not used to that from this bakery!

Fresh bakery, open all days of the week which is very convenient when living in the area. There is a big range of products, from croissants, sandwiches to bread and sweets. The prices are fair and the staff very polite.

This small but nice branch is ideal for simply taking a coffee break. I was warmly welcomed and the order for 3 people was carried out perfectly. Even the Assugrin was put directly into the one coffee. The two respective seating areas are on one side of the buffet and on the other. The only thing I think could be improved is the following: My two friends are already sitting down at the table and they don't serve us at the tables, which is fine, but there are platforms in the cart for used dishes on which to put them. At the buffet itself you get the whole order individually, so you have to go to the table with your hands full about 3 to 4 times. If you were to place a larger order directly on a tray like this, it would be quicker and much easier for the guest, especially since you could put everything on the tray when leaving and put it in the trolley provided. Another small thing, our table was pretty sticky. Nevertheless, I can recommend this place.

I have repeatedly observed that the FL was not extremely friendly and accommodating. It's a shame that people are hired who are not up to their job and who have a lot of responsibility for the company. No wonder people are always looking for staff...

Super! Everything new, perfectly clean, meets hygiene standards. Fresh and unprocessed products. Fast and friendly workers. Located in a former prime location with easy public transportation just a few steps away. You can enjoy a good coffee both inside and outside.
