Blue Bar & Smokers Lounge in Luzern

We ordered Moscow Mules, Nicolai & Miguel were perfect hosts and had us all laughing and joking and at our ease within minutes. Very friendly and willing to put up with all our questions about Luzern. Drinks were delicious and we were sad to go. But seriously... what did they do to Frida's monobrow? Join those eyebrows up, please!

Update 2023: Great bar. Definitely visit once. Nice ambience. Rating 2020: Great bar/lounge. Very friendly/great staff. Drinks menu top. Because of the Corona concept, be careful that you don't accidentally go in when the large doors are open, but rather just report it to the bouncer, who doesn't clearly check the entrance. We were then treated very unkindly by him. But the current situation is not easy for local businesses, so it's not a problem for me either. I'd love to come back and that's why I still get full marks.

The other Mexican themed bar on Pilatusstrasse at the Renaissance. Great place for drinks after work.

I had very unfriendly bouncers who were completely disrespectful. The only thing they asked was where I wanted to go. When I said I was going to the bar, I got a very derogatory look back and a blunt no without any context

It deserves courtesy from the staff and well-prepared cocktails. .imaginative in the presentation Cost in line with the city.....13/15/16 francs more or less the same value in euros. Accompanied by chips. ..it's a shame that you can smoke inside....as you enter....the nicotine...has also permeated the walls and...despite careful cleaning....you are attacked by the smell of smoke....

Chill atmosphere, very good music and the prices are good compared to other bars around. Overall very satisfied also with the staff :)

Bouncer wouldn't let me in because, "it's after midnight." A minute later he waved through multiple couples and groups of girls. Guess they don't want tourist money... their loss.

Cool place. Good nachos and drinks (mojito). Rather expensive, like everything in the Astoria group. It's a shame that you can't reserve a table at 5pm for a short aperitif either by phone or Instagram.

Atmosphere, drinks and music good, you can also smoke (big advantage). Staff not attentive (almost self-service) and the bartenders make out instead of making drinks.

Quite crowded on weekends. The service at the bar was quite stressful and therefore not particularly friendly.

It was a great experience in this lovely mexican bar in the heart of Luzern. The cocktails are amazing! And the way of the presentation of the drinks is really unique. I recommend anyone to pass by for a drink in this bar before the party get started.

Order a Campari soda for fr.8.-. Get a finger of Campari, ice and a bottle of San Pellegrino for fr7. Finally you pay 15.- fr. Attention

If someone wants to enjoy a drink, Boca Grande is a very good choice. Nice service, good music with a DJ and a good atmosphere. Security doesn't allow every Rhine, which I see as an advantage.

We three 30-something friends have to justify ourselves to the bouncer every time. It's a shame, it's half-elegant and yet we have no chance of coming in here and having a coffee with friends. Absolutely not recommended! Will never come here again.

Casual bar only the DJ couldn't control the volume. If you wanted to speak, you had to shout at each other.

If a bottle is ordered (e.g. 750.-) the required drinks (Red Bull) are not included, which is a disgrace!!!! This is the case nowhere else. The bouncer was very unfriendly!!! We ordered nachos, hadn't finished eating, and the waitress cleared away, which was a disgrace!!!

I liked the decor and style, the drinks are ok, prices average - high. Unfortunately the bouncer was very unfriendly. Smoking is also allowed in the bar, which is a shame.

Went to quick stop for a Capirinha. Bar looks nice, bar tenders quick and you can smoke inside. What would you want more in a bar?

Mega motivated, friendly staff and cool atmosphere and great music. Staff also accommodate requests that aren't on the menu when there's not much going on. Cocktails are good but they can always be better. I'd love to come again!

A year ago this was one of the best bars in Lucerne and today I was there again to have a cocktail. Sorry, that wasn't a cocktail, it was 5 ice cubes in 3dl and passion juice, you didn't even taste the alcohol and then the cocktail costs 14 Fr. You can do that better in every bar. Oh yes, my girlfriend also had a cocktail and it was the same thing there. Unfortunately never again!

I was in Lucerne at the end of November on business, went for a quick walk in the evening and wanted to have one last drink, but was greeted at the entrance with the words "You can leave again, you can't afford anything here!" Expelled from the restaurant! So much for Swiss hospitality!

The Bocca is small but mighty It's a smoking bar, it has something from the 1930s, with the Tiffany lamps on the tables, the place has its own charm. Since Bocca is also open on Sundays, it is a good alternative for a cozy evening with a cigar at the bar. Unfortunately you can't buy a cafe there, but you can get some from the restaurant over there. Friendly staff who are always in a good mood. Personally, the music is a bit too loud for me, but that's a matter of taste.

The Service was very good, but I don't know without my Friend and Migo it was racist. It turns out that we arrived and found an empty table and without a reservation identification. We ordered the drink and the snack and 22 minutes later if they put the reservation I mean we had to leave the table in 40 minutes without having consumed what we ordered and without knowing how much or how little we were going to consume. So I asked for the bill and we left everything for him. For me this was a lack of respect for the customer.

Very large selection of drinks (apéro, cocktails, wine, spirits), beautiful bar area with a bright and red design. For the aperitif there are free tortilla chips with guacamole and salsa (and not in short supply). The staff is very friendly and competent. The location is very good. Despite the smoking bar, you can hardly smell the smoke (high room). Overall, a nice bar that I will visit again.

def. no star. The bouncers are arrogant, disrespectful and don't know the simplest guest rules (pushing and insulting guests for no reason). This is not a place for real ladies, it was our first and last time there.

Newly converted bar (formerly Blue) with a very cozy ambience in Latino style. Very courteous staff. The music has a pleasant volume in the early evening, making it easy to have a good conversation. It's also nice that smoking is still allowed.

It was fine, unfortunately tables were reserved. So we had to stand... But the table was empty the whole time, so we moved on

Nicely decorated bar but unfortunately in the higher price segment. Now the kids just get carrots again until Wednesday... Unfortunately the gold bar hasn't appeared in my gin and tonic yet :) but good sound.

Loved it in here, came to visit Lucerne for 3 days so stopped off in here one night. Staff really polite and they ended up giving me 2 free bowls of crisps!

Absolutely awesome place. The bar crew are great. I'm not mentioning bar tenders as they were a great crew like a team work. Good food too. Great environment. Ambience is great also. Angelika was awesome.
