Cabane des Monts-Chevreuils in Château-d'Oex

We walked up to the cabane from La Lecherette. It was a nice walk, and we enjoyed great views on the mountains around us. We had a very nice lunch. I would recommend the “croute au fromage”. The service was excellent. In summary, we had a great time and we enjoyed every moment.

Too bad you can't come and get drinks from the self-service restaurant yourself! This would drastically reduce the waiting time! Table service is good but for that you need to have enough staff. Visit Saturday 01/20/2024 with a group of 8 uncomplicated people. Very disappointed 😥

Location is phenomenal. Staff couldn't do more for you. Rooms are great if you like the mountain hut experience. Think Heidi.

Good food with prices not too high. Example: Classic soup 8 fr, Hamburger and Sandwich 9-11 fr. Small tables near the windows offering beautiful mountain views.

Very nice little spot. After a good walk, a good refreshment or even a small snack. I recommend. Nice welcome with a team who seemed motivated for January 1st.

In the middle of nowhere 2 hours from La Lécherette (Col des Mosses). View of Château d'Oex. A well-made hamburger and homemade fries... To do it again, the visit not the fries which were great....

A magical moment after the snowshoe climb! Super well eaten.

After a nice climb on snowshoes we arrive on site and...... full moon evening, no choice of having the grills as much as you want. Salad buffet starter, very good, but the rest much less so. Very very very dry meat, not a hint of sauce just packets of mayo. Basically dry, flavorless pork. A small slice of rare beef (the size of my index finger) and dry pork from dry and more beef... the meal is priced at 30.- and we don't know why but we pay 38.-, it's It's like that and we have nothing to say... friendly but not responsive waitress. Personally, it’s a place that will no longer appear on my path.

More than 1 hour of waiting for crusts with the added nice comment: "you should avoid coming with the children on the weekend..."

Pleasantly had a very good New Year's Eve with friends, and very charming people, with a menu that was tasty. 😋😊 I say congratulations to them for welcoming them 👍

Great welcome. There is everything you need for young children.

Animals are actually not allowed. If you have a dog that doesn't like cats, it's up to you to leave and not the owner to bring their cat in. Not very professional

While staying with friends in Lausanne we wanted to experience, flower filled alpine meadows, wooden chalets, mountain views, night skies and tranquility. This was the ideal spot for a family group ranging from 5 to 59. We booked by phone a few days in advance. We were given a warm welcome. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good range of food and drink at Swiss reasonable prices. We had a dormitory to ourselves under the eaves of the pretty chalet. All very clean and well kept. Loved the night sky and the silence except for distant cowbells. An easy walk from the parking area above La Lecherette.

After enjoying the place during winter hiking, we came in summer to give our child his first night in a mountain refuge. The place is a children's paradise and the welcome is excellent. We had a wonderful weekend!
